Although it's perpetually understaffed, it's also usually far less busy than other such stores around the city, which makes it a good place to pop in if you're in a hurry and need to pick up something for dinner stat. They have specials for lunch too, which help the budget conscious! I love my tea, and just bought a tea here today.. It was delicious, we gave me the urge to compliment them. They also have a sitting area at the back where you can enjoy your snacks in peace, I even brought my own food (prepared at home) and had it here with tea and treat, and no looks or telling me I can't eat in here. Staff are friendly. Only 4 stars as the eating area is a little untidy & tables not cleared away

They have all the things you can expect at a shop like this, along with PINK LEMONADE SNAPPLE! There's also an ATM at the back of the shop.

Can I just say that in Ireland there are so many grocery stores it is amazing. I only went in there…read moreto see if they had coffee, which they do, but it's not the correct coffee that I needed. I also wanted to see if they had creamer, that didn't work out as well either. But while I was in there, I could not believe my eyes. The bread, the food, the alcohol, the toys, etc. how much cheaper everything was! I was in there for about an hour and could not believe that here in America we spend so much more on food than what is really needed. The convenience of having so many grocery stores everywhere was also great. What was interesting is that you walk through a barrier with a security guard do your shopping, and then you go to an automated checkout. To walk out of the barrier you have to scan your receipt. It's pretty convenient and I see now here in America Safeway specially in some areas they have come to the same exact process. Well, I walked in there to get coffee, I ended up getting a baguette cheese, meat, cream, cream cheese, coffee, smoked salmon, and a few other items and let me tell you it was delicious. The workers there are not that friendly, and if you want to buy alcohol, you have to do it at 10:30 AM. The store was very clean compared to some stores here in America and there was a lot to choose from.

This LIDL is clean, decently stocked and nicely priced. The grab-and-go food was pretty well picked over this afternoon but I found a sandwich triangle as well as some candies (some of which might survive the journey and go into my suitcase home) and a very inexpensive bottle of sparkling water. Self-checkout worked fine and I don't need a bag since I have my backpack. Easy, pleasy. [Review 1840 of 2024 - 96 in Republic of Ireland - 22862 overall]
