She was greeted by the cashier who touched the garment and immediately after used hand sanitizer. I am not sure if she is a germaphobe or just rude. She was told she couldn't return the item and was extremely rude. My daughter was very uncomfortable and not someone to cause trouble so she left. Her sister was in the car and immediately came in to her defense and to try to figure out why she was so rude and why the item couldn't be returned. I have purchased many items from your store and returning items for me weren't ever an issue. My daughter called me very upset stating that the rude employee said the item was worn and it was not. My older daughter was appalled and demanded to speak to a Manager, several young girls claimed they were managers and that the item couldn't be returned. It is my understanding the manager on duty was someone named Alexis. It is ridiculous how my girls were treated. Needless to say the item was left there and we received store credit. NO ONE I mean no one should ever be treated the way my daughter was. She left the store very upset and with just cause, so much so, that other shoppers came to her defense. I am writing to you so that you can train your staff better and your managers should not allow anyone who deals with customers be in the front and center of your store especially if they don't have manners and people skills. There is a way to handle customers. The times I have gone there with my children they are all very rude, young uneducated children who don't care whether you lose a customer or not. I know you do not want to have such immature people running your establishments. If I was there today this wouldn't have happened but that shouldn't be the case. Everyone should be treated fairly and with respect. She clearly doesn't like her job and honestly shouldn't be working there. I am very upset and she is very lucky I was far away or this would have ended very differently and she would be giving my daughter an apology. Fabrics are so complicated, the type of work on the outfit varies in craftsmanship, quality and materials and so on and so on. Usually, I have my outfits sent over from Delhi, but when I can't, I always visit Libaas first. Located one block from Oaktree Road in Edison (where most of the indian stores are located), this store is tucked away, yet on a main road (Rt 27). The location is not glamorous and the fitting rooms are small (has a sink and possibly an old kitchen counter?). Owner Usha Sondhi does a great job directing you to the latest arrivals, but also keeps the classics around for those that have a preference. The pricing is fair. I purchased one Anarkali churidar suit- double layered with net on top and shimmer material beneath with crystals and beadwork heavy on the bodice, waist and along the bottom, one child outfit with heavy beadwork, matching shoes and one child cotton outfit with light embroidery for $250. My Anarkali top had to be tailored which was done free of charge and ready two days later. The selection of children's clothing is AMAZING here-- most sizes, colors and styles available and for reasonable prices. Will definitely be back for more!

But we have shopped here a few times! Mostly clothes for the kids for Christmas and other holidays. It's sad to watch such a great store fall to ruins. With online shopping being so cheap, it's hard for retailers like this to survive. But there will always be a demand for in person shopping, so I am hopeful. This place is dated!!! And the only thing modern here is the makeup which is a 3rd party company. The rest of it just looks dated and falling apart. It's not as well kept up as it used to be. There are a few floating cash registers that used to be plugged in, but now they lie there dormant. The employees that do come around, just mainly do stock, and don't do a great job with cleaning up. They do have great prices! But the selection is decently limited. I do hope this makes a come back!
