I guess if you want a not so crowded shopping experience at any Costco, ya don't come in the middle of the day. I just ended up here just before lunch and there's a ton of Costco members here. Yeah, you have to be a member here and get you card scanned to enter, even just for the food court or doing a return or something. It's way worth it to be an Executive Member to get in earlier at 9am at most Costco locations. I'm not shopping for anything in particular, I just wanted to see what kinds of products this location in Manteca offered, as most Costco vary in the specialty item like food stuff, depending on the location and the customer base. I know the Bay Area East Bay Costco have a lot more Asian food stuff you don't see at more rural Costco, like the one on Redding where I live. The store is organized and sort of laid out like most Costco's with the meat and produce and paper products all the way in the back. This particular Costco is adequate, but it lacks in some specific areas. We've been coming to this location for a couple of years now, and the store is always clean and well organized. The staff is, for the most part, helpful and friendly, with some being better than others. There's the occasional checker who completely ignores us as they check us out, but most of them do understand basic customer service. They have the usual things that you find at any given Costco, except, they never have the Kirkland Organic Cotton pajamas that my family and I have become accustomed to buying from Costco. This particular location always has pajamas for the whole family, but it's always polyester or a polyester blend, but never any organic cotton. This is a disappointment for us, especially because the polyester is priced similarly to the organic cotton pajamas that we're used to, but without the comfort and breath-ability of organic cotton. Also, they do not carry Horizon Organic milk gallons, which is another item that we're accustomed to buying from Costco, but this location has never carried it, in the couple of years that we've been shopping here, in fact, there are a few things that we're used to finding that this particular location does not keep in stock, and so we find this aspect of this location to be a let down. Overall, I'm grateful that we have access to a Coscto, but I wish that they would raise the bar and carry some of the higher quality products that we've always been able to find at other locations. read more

Infiltrate Costco's Food Court: Purchase prepared meals such as Hot Dogs, Pizza, drinks, smoothies, salads, etc. for LOCKING BEAR-PROOF Alpicool C15 12 Volt Refrigerator/16 Quart Portable Car Freezer and fill up the Yeti Drink Cooler with Perrier Mineral H2O and ice, too. 4. Purchase products not available in Sacramento and Placer County Costco locations such as Lysol Laundry Wash Sanitizer Bleach, Clorox 2 Color Bleach, purchasing World Globes as gifts, and storage cases for camping. read more

Costco always has fully charged buggy's for the handicap, staff are usually pretty nice, helpful and professional.

Very spacious and open warehouse with a good parking lot - no stress with having to find any parking. Internally, each aisle is very clean, orderly, and/or well-maintained with plenty of room for all customers and carts to move around - no congestions in any particular area. Other than that, not sure what else to say, other than it being like any other typical Costco warehouse in terms of items and/or products in-store. read more

I've been with Costco for about 20 years and the meat wasn't satisfactory when I got to my house so I thought it would be an easy return by the time I got back to the store and obviously was a bit later as I didn't have time to just return back easily, but I have never an issue with returning anything at Costco and the employees there looked at my account because I switched to my nieces account recently however even on that account I spent at least $20,000 this year and those employees simply refused to make a return of mine. It's not right that they it's racially profile and then I returns that way Another black Mail was in front of me actually he had a simple seven dollar return and they refuse to return as well. It's clearly racially motivated for them to do that but also. It's not Costco policy. I spent $20,000 there this year and I was treated like somebody who stole My membership, even though I switched over to my nieces account still shows that amount of money however, there is no accountability for Costco at this point his employee should not be able to do the things they do get away with it I want my money back and I didn't receive any money and they literally treat me like dirt simply because I was a customer there and I wanted to return. Gone to costco for years. On the last visit is what pulled the rating down to three stars. I wanted to buy a computer. A guy with an HP badge asked me if he could help, so I just said I'd like to see the Microsoft product and he pointed the product out and left. I was hoping to compare the HP with the other product that I asked for. He was more interested in texting at that point. Today I scomity went to Lodi to get help and two people ended up helping me. After yesterday I gave up on HP completely. It's been 40 plus years of buying HP products, but they went on a money grab because of Ferrina years and HP buying compaq. read more

Have been to this Costco multiple times. Last month I purchased chocolate muffins from the bakery when I got home and opened the package the muffins were covered in mold. Yesterday I gave the bakery a second chance got some cheese danish right when I paid I looked at the danish and there was black hair on the danish. I told the manager about the hair and he was acting like he couldn't see it. I had to point at it multiple times for him to acknowledge the hair. He told me I could go grab another one from the back. I told him I wanted a refund. He did not seem apologetic at all. It seems like Costco isn't up to code with their food items. read more

Been going since they open and always for the workers helpful. Of course there are plenty of customers that believe the workers are servants and they are the only people of worth in the store. I was compelled to write this review because of Kelly G's customer service at the returns desk. I had an item to return when Kelly noticed a flag on my membership card due to an unclaimed refund check. The same thing occurred the past few years but it wasn't explained to me the reason. Kelly explained to me that the address associated to my membership was from 15 years ago! I thought I had properly updated my address online. I stand corrected. Kelly helped me update my address so I wouldn't need to go through this ordeal again. Thanks, Kelly! Then, on to shopping. With my first visit to this location, I was inclined to browse and familiarize myself with this warehouse. Before long, I have a cart load of goods. Generally, I stick to my list but not this time. I used to like this Costco location but the latest changes sucks. I noticed that there are a lot of merch pandering to South East Asian tastes. They discontinued most of the mainstream merchandise. The store is also slow in cleaning the food court area. Most of the time the tables are sticky if not full of crumbs and or used paper towels. Management needs to control the flow of traffic at the entrance. It's really been crazy and at times dangerous. read more

I'm not sure about this store. Everytime I go here it feels like there's always something missing. Don't get me wrong, the location was perfectly distanced from my residence. But that's the only plus side from it. It lacks a lot of things and always (everytime I'm here) out of products so I tend to drive to the next town to get what I needed. They don't carry the same product that I usually get from Tracy Costco and that's always a bummer coz that means I have to drive there if I really wanted to get what I wanted and needed. This is my go-to-spot when I need to replenish household items or purchase an acholic beverage for myself or a party. Customer service is always great when you need them for returns/etc. This location is by far the most crowded on weekends mornings and chaotic Costco location that I have ever been to. Looking for parking? Food sampling is back on the weekend if you desire to try a sample. The bakery is also awesome...... I requested a customized cake for Mother's Day from what was available, and they were able to accommodate the request. Want to fill up on gas this is your spot as well. read more

I've been shopping at Costco for the past year using my wife's Costco/Visa card and never had an issue until yesterday, they wouldn't let me pay for my full cart of groceries, I told them I live about a mile away and I can go outside and wait for my wife to show up and pay WITH THE SAME DAMN CARD, she showed up 15 minutes later and when we got back to the checkout register the cart was gone, they decided to put everything back, when they finally found the employee with the cart all that was left was the heavy stuff(water/dog food & a couple of heavier case Items), their response was a weak-ass apology and asked if I wanted to go repurchase what was in the cart, I said no, you've already wasted enough of my time AND wasted Costco's time by putting almost everything back. My wife paid the $140 for what was still left in the cart and we left. I will never set foot in that Costco again, poor customer serve is Is FREE at Costco. The only thing I'll buy there I'm now on is gasoline where there's no nosey cashier gettin' all up in my business. I estimate there was at LEAST $300 worth of stuff they "put away for me". My advice to you is if there's an issue at the checkout register just walk away and save yourself some time & frustration. read more

Went here with my family to buy some snacks using a Costco gift card. Our cashier called Laura over for help because it seemed they were unsure whether non-members were allowed to make purchases with a gift card. Unfortunately, Laura was rude and kept speaking loudly over my aunt, which created an unnecessary scene. It felt like she was intentionally trying to belittle us for not having a membership and rubbed in the fact that we "couldn't" make our purchase, just to embarrass us. After leaving, I checked Costco's official policy and found that non-members CAN make purchases using a gift card. I don't know if Laura's behavior was simply due to a lack of understanding of basic store policies or if she was being discriminatory. I'm infuriated that she had the gall to deny us service so unprofessionally when she was the one in the wrong. I'm a loyal Costco customer. Staying at the hotel next door, brought my kids over for a meal. Ordered on the mobile kiosk: full pizza, salad, and an extra slice. Waited 30 minutes for the food to be ready. No organization to the process, no precise digital number display to avoid chaos, just yelling numbers through a small window when a food is ready. My order was finally up so I got it. Was just ust the pizza. I told the employee there are 3 items in my order, and I'd like the other 2. They pointed to the long line for placing food orders from scratch, and said I had to wait in that line to get the items I have already paid and been waiting for. No signs anywhere that would inform anybody of this nonsensical policy. What is the point of the mobile kiosk? I said that's not reasonable, and her response was that's the Costco policy, and there's nothing she can do about it (can't reach over, grab food, and hand it to the customer, a process that would take seconds). No extra plates or other amenities offered either. So I'm pretty peeved sitting down to less of a meal than I paid for, and the pizza is not even really cooked through or sliced adequately. I get up to get a plastic knife to do it myself, and of course no knives in the dispenser. I waited in line to talk to customer service, showed this photo, explained no knives, said I paid for food I didn't get and don't intend to wait in line another 30 mins for this etc. The customer service solution was to stand in yet another line to talk to the manager to get a refund for my salad and extra slice. Walked out at this point without a refund or the food I paid for. Never been this unsatisfied with a Costco product before. Not doing this again. If nothing else I expected Costco to give a little more effort when I explicitly wait in line and let them know I'm unsatisfied with a poor experience that their flawed policies are responsible for. read more

When it first opened in 2008, it was our favorite Costco close to my house. It had a variety of Asian products. But lately, it seemed that this Costco does not supply the same products as other Costcos, such as Modesto or Tracy or Livermore location. So if you can not find an item, you may need to look at other Costco locations. This location does get very busy on Saturdays and Sundays. Weekdays is not as busy in the mornings and afternoons. People who work there are very nice. read more

The lady at the self check out today 8/22/21 at the manteca location was useless. I was there around noon time. Not good customer service. I asked her if I can have one of the boxes by the cashier next to the self check out, her response was "get it yourself". I was like ok probably she is busy that is understandable , but then she went to that cashier and stood there and then went back to the self check out. I was like you could have just grab one of those empty boxes and hand them to me since you were already there. Oh wow. Just posting, hopefully somebody in management will read this and make sure that another customer will not have the same experience. read more

This Costco may not have it all, but we love this location!!! They just need to have poke every once in a while, and I'll be satisfied, lol. I love that They have so many seafood selections, which I love being pescatarian and all. The must-haves for my family are smoked salmon, mushrooms, croissants, hippeas snacks, cauliflower rice or fried rice, frozen shrimp, frozen cod, veggie Eggrolls, and bags of zucchini. We usually switch between frozen salmon and cod and every once in a while pick up frozen salmon burgers as well. read more
