6/26/26 This is not my usual location to visit but I was shopping with friends & it's somewhat your average Costco experience in many aspects. Most Costco locations have the food court outdoors but this one has it indoors. It is just as organized as the next location & thankfully the staff are friendly & helpful. Produce and items are organized accordingly & the prices are fairly the same across the board with the exception of the sales tax, which is usually less in the Inland Empire. Perhaps the only difference is the community it serves and the patrons in each location. This warehouse appears to be less crazy or crowded even on a late Friday (compared to Alhambra's location, which I find less desirable because of its crowd & busy atmosphere, both inside the store & the parking lot which is just horrendous!). I will likely shop here again if in the area. read more

My husband and I had a very disappointing experience with our server. She was rude, unprofessional, and spoke to us in a disrespectful manner. Her behavior embarrassed us in front of other customers and made us feel uncomfortable throughout our visit. Customer service should always be respectful and professional, and unfortunately, that was not our experience. I hope management addresses this situation through appropriate coaching or by assigning her to a role with less direct customer interaction until she is able to provide the level of service your customers deserve. Finally picked up my Costco membership and did some browsing in the store. Sadly, my 1st experience wasn't horrible but it wasn't great. It took over 20min in line to get the membership card. Then, after grabbing a few items, the lines reached the back of the store. They don't have a scan and go which is a huge inconvenience. On a positive note, they do have items Sam's doesn't offer although I feel like pricing is a little more here. Parking is horrendous. I'm going to have to find the best time to ship here. Service was great and they have a nice selection of merchandise. read more

Awesome location right off the 210fwy. Well organized and clean spaces. Staff were helpful. Bakery items and meats are in the far back. From the entrance head inside and make a right on the main walkway. Head all the way back and you'll see all the baked goods and deli. Nice selections and varieties I don't normally find at other locations. Easy Dinner tip from a friend, pick up a rotisserie chicken and a Caesar salad bag, mix it all up and you're done. Awesome for wraps as well. Plenty of parking right in front. Always great finds. read more

Costco in Fontana is probably my least favorite Costco in the area, and that is saying something considering how many options there are nearby. Every time I come here it feels especially busy, with long lines, packed aisles, and carts everywhere you turn. Even the parking lot seems to add an extra layer of stress before you make it inside. Costco in general is already not my favorite place to shop because of the crowds, and this location really leans into that reputation. That said, it's still Costco, so the quality and prices keep pulling me back despite my better judgment. I usually try to choose a different location when I can, but when Fontana is the most convenient option, I brace myself and power through. read more

Time for another stop after 2 hours in our 12 hour road trip today. I see on your website that you are collecting donations for the LA, CA fires for the Red Cross. Quality/Quantity - Consistent. Is that a new sandwich? Chicken & Bacon sandwich? Too filling for a long 12 hour road trip, but I hope to try it in the future. Atmosphere - Decent size consistent Costco. I like your clearly communicated business hours sign in the entrance. All Costcos should go that route. See pictures. I like the safety cones for your tire center, but I think it caused a slight bottle neck in the rest of the parking lot. Good thing I enjoy walking and parking far. Service - Self service. Really just came for gas and a restroom stop. Price - Well, we paid only $2.79 a gallon for gas this morning in AZ, and it was $3.99 here... Owner Comment - Congrats on your success at this location since 2006. Congrats on all your success since 1976, since Price Club. This is one of three Costcos in my area. This is the Fontana location, with easy freeway access from the 210 Freeway. They recently remodeled their gas stations. Now I always find a vacant gas tank, whereas before I often had to wait minutes for one. read more

Really disappointed with my recent experiences here. I had two separate negative interactions with a manager named Carlos. He a short older guy with tattoos on his arm. Most recently, I tried to return items I wasn't satisfied with, and instead of being helpful, he was rude, dismissive, and spoke to me in a demeaning way. He even threatened to report me to corporate just for attempting a return. He also came across as extremely negative and pessimistic the entire time, it honestly makes you wonder how someone with that kind of attitude is in a customer-facing role here. This kind of behavior is unacceptable as a manager and not what I expect from Costco. Never had any issue at Costco until came across this person. read more

It's Friday, I did a telephone pizza order, I arrived on time. The wait was long and by the time I was up the young lady couldn't find my order and told me it was cancelled. I had to wait another 15-20 mins to "re-heat" it. Terrible service! They need to be better organized. I also witness workers who had friends come by, place an order, they'll put their order in front to attend them faster during busy waits. Customers complaining for their order until one worker noticed the orders out of place. read more

Went out of our way to visit this Costco because an employee at the Rancho Cucamonga Costco said this one had the Disney Letterman's jackets. Came here at 9:15 a.m. on a Saturday and found good parking. There was already a line of Costco warriors with shopping carts waiting at the door to get in while the executive members were already in there shopping. We went in before 9:30 a.m. and found 1 random Disney Letterman's jackets in the size we needed. We returned the one we had and bought the one we found at Fontana Costco. Everyone was really nice at this location and we were in and out of the store fast. read more

Customer restrooms dirty and not maintained. They should be checked periodically. Especially the one handicapped restroom. Paper trash all over the floor, unflushed toilet. Not that I blame the staff for that but the unkept nature of the facilities showed that more frequent maintenance is required. The store was very busy, long lines and waits yet the cashier, Bernadette and co worker, Brett, had time to stop and gab with each other at the register making the lines and check out time longer. Management does not seem to have control of the store. Yet we pay for membership. Questioning whether we just need to find a different warehouse. Very disappointing. read more

I had to get a prescription sent and it didn't go through at first. Since my epilepsy came out of remission I have been stuttering big time in public and with strangers. BUT-Loretta and Brian in the pharmacy were SO SO SO SO helpful and kind and thoughtful and neither of them even showed that they noticed my stutter. Loretta used my ID so I didn't have to keep talking and Brian spoke to my doctors office on my phone to clear the situation up. Thank You Costco read more

We usually have the best experiences at Costco and I understand people have bad days but I think this went beyond a bad day, my wife was checking out today, the cashier was super nice but the older Caucasian woman with black hair helping to load the cart looked at my wife up and down in a rude way and then completely ignored her when she asked for a box, the cashier asked her for a box and she threw it rudely in the cart, the poor cashier was mortified and started a conversation with my wife to ease the tension. We both felt it was not due to a bad day. My wife is a POC and has a thick accent. In these times when Costco has been an amazing ally I felt maybe this person should re-evaluate the place she is working. read more

This review is for the Costco gasoline. We were taking our time thinking that this Costco had the same hours as the ones in Arizona. Not so, as the pumps open at 5:30 am Monday through Friday and 6am Saturday and Sunday. Very convenient for the working crowd to get a fill up on the weekdays. also for those wanting an early start on the weekends, the early morning opening hour is great. We had difficulty with the pump. We called a staff person and he tried to make it work. He said it was malfunctioning and asked if we could pull up to the next pump. Luckily there were hardly any customers there at that hour. Staff placed an orange cone by the broken pump. We filled up and were out of there. read more

Our visit today was a car battery exchange. Noticed additional 5 free standing round tables to accommodate those buyers who just want a quick bite standing up. I noticed these new free standing tables can park high baby strollers or shopping grocery carts with front seating toddlers as well. Looks so busy this morning for a Friday... is it payday??? Lady at the door was nice and told me to get in line behind the man so i could get my costco card. The customer service workers were all pretty rude. I stood in line for 15 minutes waiting and when it was finally my turn the lady called for next in line and completely ignored me standing there. I said umm hi i want to get my card printed she said oh go over there to the yellow tape i said ohh okay the lady told me to come here and she said go to the yellow tape. So rude so as i'm standing there waiting patiently other people are being helped and many workers saw me standing there and ignored me and didn't even try to help. Then i finally got in the "right" line the lady was awkward because she knew she saw me standing there waiting. Guess they thought i was just standing there for fun?? I''m a member and it's 940 am and I asked if I could go use the bathroom real quick because I have to wait until 10 to enter with gold membership and they told me no you can't come in. I'm like I'm not gonna be able to buy anything until 10 o'clock so why can't I just go to the bathroom real quick and they told me I have to upgrade my membership. Wow, well how about I just cancel it now with that kind of attitude. Even a gas station let's you go inside to use the bathroom. Nice way to treat a member! Costco is generally my family's go to shopping location and of course we spend anywhere from $300-$350 every time. The last couple of times some of my produce is smashed. Oranges, peaches now avocados. Now I bring my own personal shopping totes to arrange my stuff and avoid this problem and somehow they manage to rearrange and smash something. Today I was I guess lucky enough to catch the smashed bag of avocados as I was unloading my groceries so I went back to the return line and waited again to now exchange my items. This man had no worries in the world lol he was as unapologetic as someone can get. I mean if I'm spending $350 at least say sorry or be nice. Not his problem I suppose. lol read more

I came to this location for the first time today to grab 2 bottles of liquor for a nearby family barbecue. It's a Saturday, so the store is understandably busy. I go into the first (very long) line that I see. After about 10 minutes, an employee appears and lets me know that I cannot buy liquor in self checkout. I let her know that I didn't know this line was only for self checkout and asked where the regular line is. I go to the regular line and get back in an equally long line. Sure enough, once I'm closer to the front of the line, I can see the original line did split into a self checkout line AND a regular line. I was a little annoyed, but wouldn't have wrote this review if an employee didn't also randomly come up to only me in line (when I was still 4th or 5th in line) to verify my membership. I was the only person checked with no explanation. Weird, since they already checked at the door and they check again at purchase. The membership is also in my name. Needless to say, I will not return. I understand now why all of my nearby family members canceled their memberships because of similar experiences at this location. read more

I have no problem with the service. I have a low selection of Items I look for. One product I'll have in the pictures is in my opinion is over priced for the value. By far the worse Costco I've been to. The workers are choosey about who they help and how they help. They HAD self scanners to faster check out, they took them away because people steal. So philosophy is, penalized the regular people that dont steal and just pay like their supposed to. For someone to help you innthe self checkout for heavy stuff, is hit and miss, depends on the workers. They (some) pick and choose who they help. read more

I go to the pharmacy in this Costco and they go above and beyond to help me. Especially Florin who would go out of his way to help all the customers. He made sure that all my prescriptions are taken care of. One time he was just coming back from his Lunch break and he did not even hesitate to help the customers waiting in line. All thumbs up ! Food court terrible service, terrible attitude. Don't know why Costco hires a guy like Jean-Paul who refuses to work and just hides. Just observe him next time, and you will clearly see why lines don't move and why you feel like no one cares. Other workers have to pick up the slack from one lazy employee. Do better Costco! I purchased a sauna over the weekend and unfortunately was to big for the space I wanted it to be at. Upon inspection it was also missing the steamer unit. I went in a few days later to return it and spoke with a Maria at the returns section. I kept explaining to her why I was returning it and it she kept insisting that I need the machine, but as I told her I haven't even used it and box came as is. I don't have this machine she keeps brining up. She kept insisting that I have it and I kept advising her as you can see I never used it and why would I keep just the steamer piece. Product came incomplete that's not my fault. Which is why the return, eventually got a supervisor and they only wanted to offer me store credit. I was baffled as to why when I paid with my debit card not store credit, again I was sold an incomplete unit that's not my fault. Eventually I got the yes from the supervisor, but then here comes Maria trying to talk her smack and trying to state it was her opinion that I had the item. I then reply in the way she has her opinion, it's my opinion she's insinuating I have an item or took the item which is false in the way she's explaining it and should do a better job then guess at what the situation is. Gave a dirty look and gave me my money back. She's honestly a cunt, stay away from her. read more

***This review is for the returns process only*** I came to this Costco in Fontana yesterday to return some Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides. The return merchandise line was not very long. Usually, there are only 2 staff members handling returns. But today I saw more than 2 people which was nice... thank you for the attention and speed of service! The staff member (Andrea) who helped me was very pleasant and nice. She didn't ask me any questions on why I was returning the items which is another plus. She researched on when I bought the items and provided me a break down of regular priced with no discount versus regular priced with discount. They will only refund you what price you bought the items at and what discount was given at that time. For example, if there is a sale right now for $7.00 off, but you bought the item with $6.00 off. They will take off $6.00 and not $7.00 for the return which to me is very fair. Anyway, the return transaction was very smooth. The way I like it... and that's how it should be all the time.
