I had a tire rotation today at 11:30. I arrived at 11:35 or so. There was one customer in line inquiring about some tires. Once he was finished I was informed that the wait on the rotation would be one hour and a half which would put be at 11:45-13:15 hours in this store. I said ok with the wait just because it is Costco (a place that has a lot of things to look at). Well an hour and a half later I am still in the store waiting! So what do I do? I get some lunch! A slice of greasy cheese pizza with a soggy bottom crust for $2 and a coke for 79cents! Thank you Coke you saved my lunch from being totally awful with that pizza! If the crust was firmer and there were some red pepper flakes it would have been a fairly ok lunch. I bought some items I needed and some items I just wanted to try. I got some kimchi pancakes that I hope will be delicious! The store was nice and clean with no funky ordors! Thank goodness for that! I fine in my older years my nose can not tolerate foul odors in retail stores! It should smell pleasant while you are shopping! There should also be nice music for a good listening ear to enjoy! Costco Tire: Habit for tire center techs to push driver seat backwards so they can fit in the car . Ha - big boys, lean way back and damage everything behind the front seat. This happened 2 times in one week. I have learned that these young employees don't think about what they could be damaging behind the driver seat when they jump in and push the seat backwards. Its obvious they can tell they damaged something- it is too obvious but they don't report it. This becomes a management issue. Lack of training, lack of coaching,lack of reminding , lack of attention, lack of caring, lack of customer service. Should be zero stars for the employee that did not report the damage. The whole tire Center gets a 2. Managers get a 1 star. read more

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the experience I had today at the Duncanville, TX location. Unfortunately, I encountered poor customer service and what I perceived as discriminatory treatment. For context, I am a senior Black woman and a long-time Costco member. I visited the store to complete my holiday grocery shopping and purchased a few items totaling $52.35, including two packages of Caesar salad mix. After checkout, the employee at the exit reviewed my receipt and noted that only one salad was charged. I explained that I did not want to wait in line again and suggested removing one item. She directed me to a "red trash can" near self-checkout, assuring me someone would assist. I waited, but no one came. When I returned to her, I observed that she allowed a white male ahead of me to pass without counting his items--simply marking his receipt and letting him go. This inconsistency was upsetting. When I told her no one came to assist me, she again asked if I had gone to the "red trash can." I reiterated that I had and that I was not waiting any longer. Ultimately, she removed the extra salad. This experience reflects poor customer service on multiple levels. It is unacceptable that a loyal customer who spends significantly at Costco should be treated this way over a $4.59 item. I will not return to this location and am seriously considering canceling my membership and moving to Sam's Club. It is unfortunate that an employee would risk losing a long-time customer rather than resolving a minor issue with courtesy and professionalism. Goodbye, Costco. read more

Usually I have pretty good service here, however today "Salvador" was very rough with my groceries. Tossing my bread and getting it squished literally right in front of me. I understand there may be long lines, but if you plan on working and moving fast at least be gentle with the sensitive produces, like bread and eggs. He literally threw my cans of tomatoes, spices, sauces. Threw my box of gloves on top of my bread where I had to fix it and he still ended up throwing them again!!! He definitely needs to go through some training again on how to bag/box items and handle them with care properly. Literally my only bad experience here. Other than that, most of my experiences have been good. Like even Target & Kroger's bagger handle my produces better than him. This CostCo is always well stocked+++ this in comparison to the Arlington Matlock location we frequent. However this location is super crowded on weekends but to avoid long lines make a mid-week visit. Best prices ever on bulk fresh and frozen produce. We purchase our frozen fruit for smoothies here too. Undoubtedly a great value! If you love the mango smoothie from Smoothie King for $7, consider purchasing a super-sized large bag of mango chunks here for around $10 and personalize your own mango smoothie for a far less price point for the entire family multiple times over. Our family loves fruit smoothies for breakfast, lunch, and snack time. We regularly get bags of the mixed berry blend, pineapple, mango chunks, tropical blend mix and dark cherries. Don't forget the sugar free Almond milk, yum! Certainly make a stop on the aisle to grab almond butter. Price is fantastic A bunch of Organic bananas are priced less than $1.90. Two-dozen Organic free-range eggs are a gift here at $5. There are many reasons to shop CostCo but two that are most important to me and my family.... fresh and organic. Looks like the Costco in the Cedar Hill area is having some customer service issues and the food court is suffering from employees who do not take pride in the job they have. It seems he employees are put out having to serve customers. Attitude and unnecessary use of authority towards members is ridiculous. You just never know if your pizza is going to be cooked enough. This location, like all other Costco's, has opted to bother members at the door in order to confirm our identities through card scanning. This move to increase profits by cracking down on the probably 1% who don't have their own memberships is a burden on the loyal regulars like our family and other paying customers. We spend at least $1k per month between fuel and food at Costco and have been members for more than a decade. The move to bother paying members at the door in order to (as the manager of this location said) 'keep the riff raff out' is just another move by corporate to squeeze every penny from it's members which ultimately (and hopefully) will drive business away to other companies. There were two people working each register; one checking/scanning items, and one unloading and loading baskets for the customers. This greatly reduced the customer wait time. This is review is on our Cashier Rosallyn. We were checking out around 5:10pm today and had the most unpleasant experience during our checkout. We go this location in Duncanville bc the customer service is usually on point. Today unfortunately, our cashier must've been having a rough day however she needs a wake up call. Not only did Rosallyn fail to smile or be kind, she was throwing our items and muttering disrespectful verbs about her supervisor who at the time was running around helping people. We simply requested our items to be put in boxes. Which we always do and the workers are usually so great about it. She tried to make us put the items in the boxes. We do not work at Costco. We are paying customers. We spent $571. Either way, we will need to try a different location as the service at this location is beyond slipping. read more

I love being a Costco member. From the slightly cheaper gas to the very large 3 lb. $4.99 rotisserie chickens and the $1.69/gallon milk to ALL of the produce; there are way too many things to list to show why Costco makes me a happy shopper. Occasionally this Duncanville Costco suffers from under staffing. There are times in the afternoon, before the evening shift arrives that a surprise crush of people will hit and there can be lines with closed registers. I've never seen this at other Costcos; but they move pretty quickly to get management involved if it persists, usually. Other times, there are long lines winding down in between the snacks, candy bars, nuts and chocolate aisles. I've used their tire service and I found Discount Tire to be more useful for me personally; but their battery prices were exceptional and battery return easy. You do have to put your own battery in. The photo department is good; but they've closed earlier than posted sometimes. I've never had an issue with customer service or a return. Their pharmacy staff is exceptional; but harried. They're always looking stressed out; but are extremely knowledgeable. One physical criticism: There is no appropriate lane to wait in at this Costco. You are in the aisle and in the way as you wait your turn for pick up. Costco's pharmacy hours are very different from other pharmacies and less available to the working person as well. Closed on Sunday, they close an hour earlier on Saturday and at 7 on weekdays. The Duncanville Costco does not always carry some of the more upscale items that you can find at other Costcos in all departments; but the basics are here and you can always go check out another Costco location at the holidays to see what they have, too! It also isn't widely known; but the bargain "to go" food counter is open to the public. Large pizzas are $10 - cheese, pepperoni and combo. Fountain drinks are 69 cents. There are several very good hot sandwiches $4 and under and a $1.50 polish with drink! Sundaes, smoothies, churros are all good quality with the drinks/toppings self-service. You can call in a pizza order and pick it up! Our membership is between $50 and $60 dollars and we do get a cash back amount based on our shopping totals which usually pays for most of the basic membership annually. I see no drawbacks to buying some things in bulk and saving on everything we buy there!! Go and shop as a guest some time! read more

On May 6, I stopped outside of the Costco Tire Dept. to put air in my tires. Unfortunately, the air started running out of my tire instead of going in. I saw a young lady, Tilley, who worked in the tire department and asked for help. She not only fixed the problem with the tire pressure machine, but put air in all 4 tires! Who doesn't love a large shopping area with large quantities, samples, and the best cheapest food court around (get the swirl froyo it's under $2.00 and amazing!) Costco has plenty of perks but one of my favorites is their return policy. Even if you buy a food item try it out decide you don't like it. I've been a member of Costco since 2007. I moved to Texas last year. I went to Costco on October 14,2022. Costco register wasn't excepting my credit card it was declined. They sent me to another register. It kept declining my card. I said my card has nothing on it. I went outside to call the bank. It was Costco register. They knew it was there fault but wasn't saying anything.I purchased stuff and paid my membership. When I got home I tried to purchase over the website but it said my membership wasn't paid. I called Costco and they said I have to come in. I went back the next Friday. I went to membership. I looked around and I seen the cashier who rung me up. So I went back to her. I said remember me because I was there for about 2 hours. She said no. I explained to her what she did. She said I have to go to membership because they know what to do. I said it's a line that's why I came to you. She said I have to go to membership. So I did. The lady in membership had to get a manager because she didn't know what she was doing. The manager came lot at my receipt and said she paid someone else membership so she will fix it. So I went shopping again. I purchased a cell phone case and gift cards. The cashier rung me up and the lady (Crystal R) who was the lady who mess me up the first time gave her my receipt to get my stuff. I asked the cashier can someone else help because I was upset with her. She looked at me and said she's my manager. Wow I when she was giving me my stuff I said you could have help me you're a manager. She said no I had to go to membership. But she could have taken me over there so I didn't have to stand in the line because of her. So that day I tried purchasing my two chairs and table on the website. I pray I get it on November 1. My absolute favorite store to grocery shop at. Hands down! Everything that Costco sells is fresh, packaged appropriately, and sizeable enough to feed a small army (or an average sized Mormon family). I've personally been maintaining my membership here as a single dude due to their tire center. The service is stellar, the techs are friendly (if u are to them...), and the tires are name brand Michelins! The tire center offers free patching nail removal and anything else I could go wrong with tires. The prices on the medium to high-end but it is so worth it. I will swear by Costco for the rest of my life!! Let me amend my review to say that this Costco is the best one ever I'm here on Saturday at 12 noon and there's literally no one in the store. No one's shoving me out of the way to try and speed walk past me no one's pushing me out of the way to get to a sample first no kids are stepping on me this Costco is amazing!! read more

This might be long, so bare with me. I do a ton of business/shopping with Costco, I have never had an issue over the years, until last week. For the first time I purchased appliances from them, not because they were any cheaper than Home Depot, but because of loyalty. I purchased an Induction stove, an overhead microwave and dishwasher. The stove came on time, great delivery because I was constantly updated throughout the whole process through emails and text. The guy setting it up wasn't very knowledgeable as I wasn't either because I've never had an induction stove. He couldn't get the stove top burners to work but quickly called for a replacement and left the new one in place and I could use the range part if needed. He left, I opened up the manual and first thing in the manual says that pot/pan has to be on the burner to work basically. I called customer service and told them all was good and to cancel the other one he put on order. Everything is good so far, the microwave and dishwasher were scheduled for Saturday August 3rd...I had to take a day off from work because my wife was out of town, no problem, needed a day off, so Saturday comes, no emails no text....then I realized I hadn't received anything all week. Around noon, I looked on the Costco site, it still said delivery today...after waiting all day...I called customer service and spent 30 minutes trying to get answers. I finally got a supervisor, and this is where I blew a gasket....I was dismissed by her basically saying No, it was rescheduled for August 10th, we sent you text/emails....I looked again at all emails and text, junk mail, spam and nothing. She said sorry for your situation but the 3rd party people said they did. SO IM THE LIAR! After getting my stove with 20 emails/text, all of a sudden my phone stops working for their emails/text. Told her to cancel the order and it will be the last time I spend a dime here. I lost 1300.00 in pay waiting on these people, and nothing from them but it was my fault basically...Hello Sam's Club, coming your way! read more

I like the repositioning of the pet food and supplies, but apparently there is less room than in the previous location. Unfortunately, this means that several of the "dental" dog chews, like Check-Ups, Bison Bones, and Nubz are no longer carried. Which is a shame as this Costco had carried Check-Ups consistently since I got my dog four years ago, and seldom did not have the Bison Bones or Nubz. Sigh. Off to check Amazon Prime. read more

Having live in a lot of locations in this country and shopping at more Costco stores than I can remember I must say that for a city the size of the Dallas Fort Worth area this store is less than impressive. It's a typical Costco at best but I would think the area could support a store twice the size. It's always way overcrowded and the store itself is on the small size. Maybe it's just because it's about a 30 minute drive for us which is farther than other Costco stores we have lived near in the past, but for us at this time Costco is not a pleasant shopping experience nor a great value like we have thought at other locations... read more

I must admit this is my weekly spot. Mostly on Sundays after church. Our family can come on Sunday and literally get full on the samples they have alone. Which becomes an issue for Sunday dinner. There gas prices are really great and normally are cheaper than other local gas stores. You never really have to worry about long lines like Sam's Club. Their meat and produce is of quality and fresh each and everytime I'm there. They also have a wide variety of alcohol beverages. This is my go to place to stock up on all my household goods. I also love the fact I have the option to purchase things for my vehicle. Although a few times they did not have my favorite items at this location. I would then have to travel to another location to get it. All in all this place is just what our household ordered! read more

Who doesn't just LOVE Costco. It is nearly impossible to go in for one item. I dare you. In fact, I double dog dare you...LOL. There are so many incredible items well below market price that saving that much money is happiness galore. I opted for the Executive membership, it is $110 a year, which is double their regular membership at $55. But this is where that extra money is an awesome investment. Once signed up for their card, I was given $55 in free coupons to be used within the next four months. So the extra $55 spent is immediately redeemed back, from Day 1. Then of course there is a 2% cash back on the Executive membership, up to $750 cash back to members within a calendar year. Certain items do not qualify, like gas and a few other things. And every service they offer like travel, insurance, or house financing, will provide additional benefits to their Executive members....bring it on!! Next door at this Costco location is an independent Optometrist. They only charge $80 for an eye exam, which is fabulous. Knowing their employees are treated very well by their owners is an added bonus to support this business. read more

The location is very accessible from the 67 freeway, and the parking lot is spread out and no crowded whatsoever. The staff is very friendly and not overly pushy. Hoooooney! Issa one stop shop!!! I literally took my car in to get new tires. And the guys who work on your car literally are so nice and help you in every way possible. So while I waited on my car (which took 1.5hrs btw) I got a few groceries for the house, got a tasty açaí bowl and once my car was finished, I packed my groceries, my fruit bowl, got in the car and got gas!!!! First let me say that Costco is amazing no matter where you go - but this Duncanville store is leaps and bounds the best. Today I went into the store to grab a few things. I was having one of those days until I ran into Art in the front end. A few weeks ago I stopped in to have wheels balanced and grabbed a bite at the food court. I saw Art and he was working with the cashiers, handling customer concerns and sweeping the floors - you name it. I watched him for a good ten minutes as I was really amazed with his work ethic. I approached him and mentioned something to he fact that he was a "jack of all trades". He laughed and stayed that the company was good to him and the employees and that is the best motivator. I let him know I've been following Costco on LinkedIn and various social media as when I retire in a few years I would definitely want a part time position with Costco. My sister is also seeking a position with Costco when they open their new store in Bayonne NJ. Art and I spoke for about 5 minutes and I gave him my name - shook hands and parted ways. This was about six-weeks ago. Today it blew me away when I saw Art and he remembered my name. I even commented - how did you remember my name? He smirked and shook my hand and continued on his mission at the same pace as the last time I saw him. While I remembered his name as he made such a good impression - for him to remember my name with tens of thousands of folks coming through that store was amazing. That little gesture turned my day around. It went from a mediocre day to an amazing day. The fact that he remembered me from a few minute talk six weeks ago just blew me away. Point of the story is Costco hires folks that make a difference. This store is always spotless, well stocked, and with amazing folks. The parking is well kept and I have yet to not be able to find someone to help me find something. This is the only place I trust with new and balancing tires on my BMWs, Audi, and Porsche. Tire shop is always top notch and I am highly meticulous with my cars. The people and the culture are the difference between Sams and Costco. Notice Sams boarding up stores all over the US while Costco keeps expanding. A big kudos to this store, their staff and the management for employing folks with such high standard such as Art. Catty Childish Condescending Costco Cashier Claudia P. I set down my Costco card on the receipt printer when Claudia wanted it in her hand. Since she didn't get it where SHE wanted it. She exclaimed  "OKAY!!"to which I told said I can speak to her in the same tone she speaks to me. She said I was rude for setting the card down where I had, I disagreed told her she could just drop it. Cashiers can be the only point of contact for a customer and for her to be so rude is horrible for retention. After she was done checking me out, I saw she charged me twice for some Advil. I went back and asked how many other items she charged me twice for, she grimaced and said she wasn't sure, she was just"trying to get you out of my line". They had to call a supervisor to refund my money. I told her she still had an attitude to which she didn't reply. She may be better off in the back where she won't have to interact with customers. This review concerns the tire center only. We took our low tire purchased there for repair, were told it could not be repaired and was under warranty, we would get a new tire for $22. They installed our donut spare and told us our tire had to be ordered from Houston, would take 3 days. After a harrowing ride home we realized our donut was inflated to 33 psi instead of the recommended 60 psi. We were afraid to drive on it after the steering and braking problems we had experienced on the drive home from Costco. We called Costco every day and were told our tire had not come in. Finally we were told "since it had been 7 days, they could go ahead and give us a tire from the store inventory." THEY HAD THE TIRE THE WHOLE D**** TIME! I can only assume they didn't want to sell it to us for the warranty pro-rated price when they could sell it to the next sucker for the full price! And when hubby told them they had installed an under inflated donut they said they check every spare before they install it. Yeah, right! read more

On days when I'm gonna cook tacos or tostadas I know I can quickly run in, grab a rotisserie chicken & walk out. They're always stocked on my favorite items & I love that they have samples not only on the weekends but during the week. Costco is my go to place for gas as well. They open earlier than the store and stay open later as well. I find that they always have the lowest prices around in the area.
