Costco is a whole mission sometimes. Well, okay, most times..but having the executive membership definitely helps to be able to get in one hour early. We come here for the bulk paper products, waters, fruit, rotisserie chicken!, bulk meats and chickens, and instant coffee. Sometimes frozen stuff-but rarely. Then we shop around for on sale snacks, seasonal stuff or clothes. Kids clothes packs like the swim stuff and Burt's bees pajamas are the best for kids. Oh and the licensed clothes too. They have become super fast at checkout too. They help by scanning your card then the items, and when you get to register (either self checkout or otherwise) they or you scan your card and it loads the cart. It's great and so efficient. My favorite trick has always been adding food court items in line! Then you pick up at window with receipt. Sometimes it gets super crowded and the parking lot is always a hot mess. But I don't think I could say no to a membership. lol read more

I love Costco but this location, majority of their employees service are always awful, arrogant, selfish and ignorant. I went to Costco today for some returns, and unfortunately the experience left me feeling dissapointed. Then membership clerk, Noah, came across as very distracted and spent more time talkimg with co-workers instead of focusing on helping me. It made me feel unappreciated as a customer. Aside from today's experience, I also wanted to mention my dissapointment with the car key replacement service I purchased through Costco third party, Car Keys Express. After being told if would look exactly just like the OEM key. They key works fine so far, but the appearance was dissapointing from the start, and after about a year? The labels started fading away. For the price i paid, i expected better quality and more honest advertising. read more

He mentioned the scan & go option did not work for some members because the main reason was "I don't need help!" The one stop shop where you get all your necessities and wardrobe at the same place, that's when you know your age just hit the fan. Lol. I'm a lover for the samples in between aisles and cheap hotdog/pizza combo at checkout. When there's a crisis happening in the world, the water and toilet paper seem to disappear. Seasonal desserts, Surplus of Liquors & Wines for your party hosting needs. Then there's those random pop ups of uniquely unnecessary things like a Bugatti Scooter which I get a good laugh out of but might peak interest to someone else. I enjoy the hectic scurries of people shopping and rushing to the checkout, sometimes even rude comments just because you yourself are in a hurry. The gas prices are great, I fill up a full tank just under $50. The pros outweigh the cons here for me. read more

New Horrible self-service policy. Not allowed to do self-service. Lines backed up with most if not all self-service checkouts open. Pathetic is there a new manager? Go to Fresno Costco fewer self-service nicer people faster. Oh, there's no signs, but you have to have 15 or less items - would be nice to know new policies. I have been a Costco member for many years as have my family. I recently hear about the change in policy letting executive members enter the store earlier. I have had an executive card in the past but currently have one of the basic memberships. I also had misplaced my card and arrived about 15 minutes early hoping to go to customer service and see if we could get another card. When we arrived, we headed towards the exit and asked one of the employees.If we could go to customer service to see about a missing membership card, the employee named diana quickly asked what membership do you have? I responded that we did not have the executive membership. She explained that right now only executive members were allowed in the store. I then asked, can we please go into speak to customer service about switching to thay card?We'd like to find out about it? She said "you dont have to give me attitude" So rude. I was actually taken aback. I guess asking questions is not allowed at this Costco. Very disappointing. read more

Absolutely ridiculous! I had a hearing test done at the Clovis location, intending To purchase hearing aids. Though I was unable to purchase them that day I tried to purchase the $1700 hearing aids 6 days later. In trying to do so I was told due to them being short staffed I would have to make an appointment to purchase them. This means waiting another 5 days for an appointment that accommodates their schedule with no consideration for my schedule. Meanwhile I'm stuck even longer not being able to hear much of anything. This on top of having to purchase a membership for myself even though my wife has a membership. Membership purchased !! Every step of the way Costco has made it difficult and very aggregating to purchase hearing aids. Like everyone, we spend a ton of money there because of the price breaks. Costco being short staffed shouldn't be my problem, they should figure out how to get me in and allow me to spend my money. It takes maybe five minute to go over the warranty information and pay. Complete disregard for the customer's in my opinion. I doubt they will even see this review or care for that matter!!!!!! read more

I love Costco, but this Tire Center is the worst service I have ever seen. Since they moved to their new location, it's like they forgot how to clean up their mess. They used to be good, but now the wait to be seen at the register is usually over 15-20 minutes. One time, I had an appointment to rotate my tires. I showed up 5 minutes early, but still had to wait in line for 20 minutes. When I finally got to the counter, the guy chastised me for not being on time. Seriously? Maybe they need to rotate their attitudes as well as the tires! Today, I am here to exchange a battery. The guy behind the counter has been saying he is going on break, but he has been behind the counter for 20+ minutes while everyone is waiting. They really need to add more service staff. Their batteries are good, but only if you can put up with the terrible service. Their tires are okay, but I have now started shopping elsewhere for tires. I cannot stand the service here anymore. It's a shame because I love everything else about Costco, including their gas. But the service at this Tire Center is just unacceptable. read more

Wow, I cannot stand coming to this Costco and I will definitely stick with my regular Costco on Abby. The cashier, SOTERO G. was super rude. He asked for my id and a second form of id because the picture on my card didn't look like me. Duh, the picture is in black and white. Maybe when they scan it, my picture should pop up on their screen. I asked for two separate transactions because I was buying for my household and I making a dish for a holiday party that my family are splitting up the bill. He said I can come back tomorrow to purchase the second set of items I need. I have never had to do that before. No one has ever given me problems with my id or separate transactions. We stopped for a few things and I encountered the most foul mouthed vulgar talking girl named Alisa doing the food demo of some little chocolate covered mint balls... she is not a happy girl!! I said, thank you but she was so deep into cussing out her feels to whoever she was on the phone with that she hardly noticed a single person who came up to her. She especially did not notice all the little kids and elderly people within ear shot. She needs to learn some manners in the worst way!! So went shopping like I usually do, this time I had a gift card from T-Mobile since I bought my phone with them there inside Costco, so thanks. Went to the produce section and like always there were two employees there stocking and moving pallets with a hand pallet forklift. Well the employee using it said nothing, for example behind you or excuse me and almost ran my foot over. I pulled my foot last minute or I would have been hurt. No apology, nothing just went on about his day. Well I noticed he saw I was upset and instead went to go gossip with the girl there that was stocking that he almost hit me and made me feel like it was my fault. I found the manager that was in the back with all the pallets and informed him of what had just happened and he apologized for him and told me he would talk to him about it. I wish I got the managers name because he was great. I understand it's a warehouse and their just moving things around but a simple excuse me would have made me just stop what I was doing and let him do his thing. The Clovis Costco is the worst warehouse I've shopped in. Today was my second time here as I usually shop at the Costco on Abby, and occasionally in Visalia. I spent my HARD EARNED money here today and when I asked employee Jennifer, (in a bright pink shirt,) what isle an item was located on she made feel put out as if I was unimportant and bothering her. Earlier today as a executive membership member, I had went to Costco in the Clovis Area. Parking situation took me about 20 minutes to find decent parking. Once you entered you have to have your membership identification card scanned. Then I made my way to the very back end of the store by the restrooms is the optical center at Costco to order eyeglasses. The wait to be seen was 15 minutes. Overall I did not have a great customer experience at Costco Clovis optical. Due to the staff failed to assist me the customer properly and used a negative tone at the time. My eyeglasses prescription was already in the system from a previous purchase. They made wait longer to verify over the phone the same prescription they had on their records. I repeated asked them why am I waiting for a long time just to ordered eyeglasses. No one gave me a straight answer. Finally, I asked for my card back, they lost a customer sale. I had to drive to another Costco which I was promptly assisted me under 10 minutes I was in and out. I highly recommend sensitivity and people training that Costco in Clovis for there employees to have require people and social skills training to better assist customers who pay to shop there have a great customer experience. Overall, as a military veteran and a member I should not have to drive to another Costco due to their lack of customer skills, lack of positive behavior and etiquette. Costco in Clovis, California location by far the worst customer service I ever had to endure at this specific location. Do better. read more

Honestly some of the staff is super rude and unfriendly. I grabbed a sweater without a tag so I grabbed an extra one with a tag to be helpful. And told him that scenario. He told me twice to put the one I didn't want on the other register I understand and heard him the first time but he made me feel like an idiot because he had to repeat himself. I wanted to go to an associate rather than self check out, because I enjoy people. But after today, watching the Caucasian, thin, middle-aged man judge everyone who is coming through his lane, rather than greet them with kindness, I would've much rather gone to the self check out. I was having a great day too. My great day turned sour when I went through this man's lane at Costco. Super unfriendly to everyone and checks everyone's ID with disbelief- I'm not kidding... not only the people on front of me, but I waited and saw him judge the people behind me too! Associate who scrutinizes people checking out, if you're reading this, try kindness. You have a greater effect on people than you realize.
