I was surprised to discover that my Costco offers Safeguard, a full service travel immunization program. I went onto the Costco website, locating the pharmacy. I paid $39.99 for their Full Service Travel Medicine Consultation Program, by SafeGard. I logged on, uploaded my drivers license, answered pages of questions about my health, immunizations and the dates and countries I will be visiting. I uploaded the voucher number verifying that I paid and within 24 hours I received an overwhelming 68 page travel booklet with 14 pages of specific physician recommendations. I reviewed the recommendation & reached out to the company I will be touring with before scheduling an appointment with Costco. All prescriptions & vaccine recommendations from my consultation were sent directly to the Boca Raton Costco Pharmacy which I selected. I contacted the pharmacy & scheduled an appointment to receive my prescriptions & vaccinations. The pharmacist gave me information regarding pricing & insurance coverage. Happily our insurance is covering all of the needed medication. Today at the pharmacy, we met with Laura. She had our documentation on hand and we created a plan to get all the needed injections and pills for our vacation. We filled out some paperwork and handed over our Insurance and Pharmacy cards. We sat on the side of the Pharmacy and received our first set of injections today. Laura was quick, gentle and painless. read more

A lot of people don't realize this, but Costco sells more wine than anyone else in the U.S. True to form, they sell both wine and spirits at very low markups. While their core business isn't focused on the ultra-high-end wine market, their enormous buying power allows them to occasionally offer very rare and expensive bottles... often at pricing that's surprisingly reasonable given the market. Unfortunately, pricing on the world's greatest wines has gotten out of control. First Growth Bordeaux like Haut-Brion, for example, used to sell for around $40 a bottle in the 1980s. Absolutely fantastic Costco location. I shop here like once a week for all of our household essentials. I love their meat and cheese selection, as well as their bakery items. Their produce can be a little hit and miss at times, but it's good more often than not. As for non-food items, the Kirkland brand of paper towels and toilet paper are top of the line. They also have a pretty good selection of clothing here and you can catch some of the items deeply discounted if you're lucky. Oh yeah, Costco is a great spot for linens and towels too! They recently had very hjgh quality, plush bath towels for $6.99 each which was a steal. I totally stocked up. One thing to note, they often rotate products out, so if you like something make sure to stock up on it. One the one hand it's kind of a bummer when you find a gem and it disappears, but they are very good about replacing stuff with new and interesting products and I guess they kind of keeps things fresh for the customers. As for the mechanics of the place, the checkout gets very busy, but the cashiers do a great job and move it along quickly. There's also plenty of parking, but it can get very hectic in the morning and around 5pm. I personally prefer to go at like 730pm, an hour before close, as it's much more relaxed than at peak times. Also, pro tip: never ever go on the weekend or before a holiday, it's absolute mayhem. What else can I say? You gotta love Costco. Five stars from me, best of the best as far as I'm concerned. read more

Prices are very fair and quality is undisputed. Here in the Boca Raton location, they relocated the self service aisles to the right side of the store and less aisles than before. Costco has something for everyone! We love shopping there because it's a one stop shop. Yes you have to buy and higher quantities but there's great selection and even as a family of three we can buy and then repackage into smaller quantities at home. Today we purchased diapers, three boxes of milk (yes, that's nine cartons!). With a young infant, we go through supplies very quickly and are limited with time so Costco has come to be a savior. Our shopping cart was clean today and moved smoothly throughout the store. The shelves were well stocked. The Costco sample stands were manned by very friendly employees. However, we did not try any samples today as all of the carts were in process of making the food and we were eager to leave the store once getting what we needed. At self-checkout, Gerrard was very friendly and helped us scan the heavier items so that we did not have to lift them out of the cart. We gave four stars because parking is less than ideal and sometimes you have to walk from behind the building to get to the entrance . read more

I haven't physically been in a COSTCO warehouse since Covid's start in 2020. But I do order specific items for delivery. And have also utilized Instacart for delivery of certain other items. Always good pricing. Stands behind their merchandise. And you never know what kind of a bargain you can get, for example fresh flowers. I've ordered fresh floral arrangements shipped directed from Latin American countries. Amazing. The physical stores are always jammed. And the parking lot is a death trap. And forget the gasoline stations. Yes they sell gas for less money but you need to spend 30 minutes on line. If I were that desperate to save a few bucks I can find other ways to do it. Dear Diary, It's day 7 camping my local Costco l've been surviving off of glizzy combos, chicken bakes, and free samples. I've done unspeakable things to the last stall on the left, alas it's my only solace knowing that poor soul who's brave enough to clean such a mess is well paid. I've made a small fort in the paper towel isle as my base of command during business hours and sometimes journey to the plush luxury couches for some comfort while I goon. I'm not sure how much longer I can hold out, a 7 day edge for prismatic bundles has been peek but their supply of double chuck chocolate cookies is severely depleted. Please don't tell the store manager Ben I'm the one pooping on the hood of his car, I fear he's grown suspicious of me, however when I ask if the shipment has arrived he tells me to "check back tomorrow" so I feel it's warranted. On April 27th, I visited the Costco location in Boca Raton and returned a Shark Matrix robot vacuum. The staff was very helpful and professional during this process. Later, I returned to the store approximately 30 minutes later to return a television I had previously purchased. The staff asked for my receipt, which I provided, and they called a specialist to inspect the TV. After opening the box, the specialist checked if the TV was functioning properly and asked about my complaint. I explained that the TV was lagging and operating slowly. They also mentioned that the remote control was missing, and asked me to bring it back in order to complete the return. I went home, retrieved the remote control, and returned to Costco. At that point, the store manager, Yvonne, became involved in the situation. Unfortunately, she refused to listen to me and did not allow me to explain my situation. Her behavior was extremely rude and discriminatory. While I have always been very satisfied with Costco's customer service, product quality, and helpful staff, my experience with Manager Yvonne was entirely the opposite. She claimed that I had purchased the TV using another person's membership and said she could only offer me a gift card or shopping card. Although I insisted multiple times that I wanted a refund, she continued to push the shopping card option. I explained that although my friend's membership card was used at checkout, the payment was made with my own credit card. I requested that the refund be made back to the original payment method. Because I refused the shopping card, she became visibly angry, rudely threw a paper toward me, and said, "You bought this last year; you cannot return it." I explained that the TV was purchased only five months ago, not a year. She responded that items purchased more than 90 days ago cannot be returned. I asked why I was sent home to get the remote control if a return was not even possible. However, she continued to raise her voice in front of other customers, waved the receipt at my face in a mocking and unprofessional manner, and repeatedly interrupted me. She sarcastically pointed to the receipt and said, "Look, it says 90 days right here," without letting me finish any of my sentences. I mentioned that just 30 minutes earlier I had successfully returned another item -- a robot vacuum -- without any problems, even though the purchase was made using a different membership card. She simply said, "They made a mistake. That is not allowed," and refused to honor the return of the television. Due to Manager Yvonne's extremely rude, discriminatory, and unprofessional behavior, I was unable to complete my return, even though a technician had confirmed that the TV was functioning and approved it for return. I found her attitude to be deeply disrespectful and humiliating. As a result, I have decided that I will no longer shop at Costco and I will be canceling my membership. Additionally, she never allowed me to speak. When I asked, "Why did you send me home to get the remote if you were not going to process the return?", she rudely held the receipt up to my face and said, "We tell you when you buy the product -- look, it says 90 days right here." This was extremely inappropriate and disrespectful behavior. read more

Of all the Costcos this is my least favorite. It's so crowded, customers are rude, and you'll take your life n your hands in the parking lot. The optical department is excellent. The employees have been there for a long time and they are helpful, and know their inventory. They also carry better brands like Gucci, Bottega Venita and Cartier. Prices here are excellent too. Rest of the store is the same as every other. Whenever I go, there are long lines at check out. People who shop here are out of control and just nasty. I've been going to Costco for years and years but this was the first time I was in this particular location. I went specifically for the optical department. I called to make an appt for a refraction and got one for the same day - score!! The doctor was excellent - very professional and kind and gave me a lot of good info. I went to the optical department where there is a large selection of frames at excellent prices. They certainly have some cute frames that are Kirkland but they have many, many that are major name brands in the industry. The prices are, indeed, much lower than anywhere I've ever seen. I ordered 2 pairs of glasses for 1/3 LESS than ONE pair anywhere else that I've been. I'm very excited to see if I think the lenses are of the same quality to which I am accustomed but my guess is that they will be! I hadn't planned to shop the rest of the store today but I did look around and it's just beautiful. Bonus - it's not quite as crowded as the one on Lantana. The parking lot has a million handicapped spaces close to the front doors and then plenty of parking for everyone else - - today the parking lot was a swimming pool - - Florida rains!!! This review is for the tire department. I just had the worst experience unfortunately as I am a return customer. When I went in to the tire center there was an unusually long wait even though no one was really in there. Once helped I order the tires and paid in full. They took about a week to arrive. I had to call them to find out. They had an opening the same day 4pm to get them installed I arrived at 3:45 and again a long wait didn't get to talk to someone till after 4. Gave them my key and asked when should I return. He told me three hours. I went into the store took my time, ate, looked at all the stuff I don't normally have time to. Filled up my cart with groceries and returned 3 hours later to find my car hadn't even been started. Wtf to that. But went inside and said we have to reschedule, but not before having to wait in line again for another long wait time, stating I have a cart full of groceries and can't wait another 3 hours. I called about a week later to reschedule and arrived again to find they had sold the tires I had paid for in full to someone else. They had to reorder the tires and again waited. Finally they installed the tires and they did a terrible job the car bounces like they didn't balance the tires. All that to have to take the car some where else. Payed again to have the tire balanced. I should have know just from all the long waits with only a couple customers I needed to go somewhere else. I've purchased several Kirkland "KS" series hearing aids over the years. I'm currently using the KS9's. KS10's had battery issues and were all recalled. Costco has discontinued house brand hearing aids and only sell those from Jabra, Philips and Rexton. One feature that's very important to me is to be able to stream telephone calls hands-free. All of the Costco brands are capable but only for Apple phones: they don't stream hands-free for Android phones. When Costco carries a hearing aid that will stream phone calls from my Samsung Android phone I'll consider upgrading. All the aids they sell are, for me, a downgrade. The hearing aid professional is very important. I have a broken door on a KS8 (my backup pair). One employee said that there was nothing she could do, the other called to get a replacement door. One wanted to get through her day and the other wanted to help. Quite the difference! read more

When writing a review for any establishment, it's my goal to measure each subject on a scale of how well they accomplish their given goal. With that said, Costco is not just a wholesale offering a wide variety of goods for good prices. It's an all-encompassing lifestyle. They do what they do well seamlessly, and what started as an inside joke between my fiancé, myself, and our next door neighbors turned into a miraculous evening of way too much food for way too little money. We ordered our dinner, yes - dinner, at the Costco concession stand. Hot dogs, a half cheese / half pepperoni pizza, a chicken roll, strawberry Sunday, churro, and fountain drinks... for ~$20 dollars. The membership fee paid for its self as we sat next to an assemblage of car rims and tires at excellent prices. The food was as expected - it tastes good, especially for the price. Pizza reminded us of carnivals and fairs of our youth, hot dogs remind me of my birthdays growing up (my mother would take me every year for a Costco hotdog), chicken roll was a total sleeper (just add egg for an amazing breakfast item), and everything else stood up to the pressure test of our discerning pallets. The concession stand staff were friendly and helpful. My neighbor asked for a small box to take home the rest of our pizza, and he was handed a literal cardboard box. We thought that was the funniest thing ever. Even better still, we finished dinner and shopped throughout the store and marveled at the array of prepared meals, dry goods, and personal items available at Costco. It's literally a magical place oozing with value for anything you can imaging; I've purchased bank checks, clothing, foodstuffs, and electronics all from the same place. And on top of it all, we had an amazing time. 5/5 Costco experience as well as in general. Thanks for making us feel like adulting is fun. read more

Now that Dad's moved from Broward to Palm Beach, I'm helping him find all his new favorite stores. One will be this Costco in Boca, but for sure he now knows that he needs to get here earlier in the day. At 2pm, the parking lot was very full with folks looking to cut throats to save a few pennies on their groceries. Not looking where they were going and hunting for spaces like piranha fish. We ended up having to park far enough away that it was a good walk. The lot is definitely too small by 50% but there is nothing they can do about it. Just plan to arrive before the crowds. Inside, Costco was similarly packed with merchandise. Food, cleaning equipment, computers, furniture, drinks, candy, snacks. And in the fresh deli area, sliced meats, butchery, bakery, cheeses, fish and more. We picked up one of their very inexpensive rotisserie chickens and some frozen veggies to go with it. I'm impressed by how well organized the store is once you work out where things are. Lots of good deals to be had and not all of it has to be purchased in huge bulk buys. Checkout was easy and quick.
