This is specifically about the pharmacy in this location. I wish I could give a higher rating, since I go there often and spend a lot of $$ at this pharmacy. Nonetheless, cannot give more than one star. Why not? From the moment you walk up to the counter, they are impatient and rude to you. There is one pharmacist, I will get her name and post it here, that is not professional. A nightmare to work with....I've tried too many times to be cordial. Nothing works. Being civil to customers is beyond her ability, simply not in her character. A complete and utter drama queen with a mean streak. Seinfeld had the Soup Nazi. Publix has the same, that's her. She makes that tiny little interaction with you for a prescription pickup into a nightmare. But....Lexi the pharmacist is professional, KIND, an angel, actually loves what she does and it shows. She always gives excellent service, answers questions (!!!!!), calls a doctor if needed...never, ever makes a big deal out of anything. Smiles and she is as polite as the other pharmacist is rude. Lexi does not share my very personal info with the next 3 people in line so they can hear it, she is GREAT and is a huge asset to this company. Mia, pharm tech, is next in line. ALWAYS professional, friendly-disposition, respects privacy in a low voice, actually cares that you get the Rx you came there for, goes the extra mile to help you. Most of the other pharm techs are just clones of the nasty one, she sets the standard and the rest follow her lead. Sad. Spend a fortune there on meds and they give you the proverbial middle finger in service. They do their best to ruin your day from the moment you step up to the counter. I don't know why I still shop at Publix at this address. Again they had a sale price on the wrong shelf. They refused to honor their mistake. They look up the ad in the weekly sale paper. They will not walk over to the shelf to correct the mistake. Management is not good although cashiers and floor people are wonderful. She has taken the time over the years to get to know me and my boyfriend and expresses genuine care about our personal lives. I am from NYC and love shopping at Publix when I am down in Florida! The place is organized the prices are excellent. The salad selection was limited the day I went. However, the woman making my chicken tender sandwich was more than helpful she made a nice sandwich and really paid attention to detail! The man behind the fish counter was also helpful! He seasoned the shrimp perfectly. Such a nice shopping experience coming from a New Yorker where all the supermarkets are ransacked! The staff really does make the experience so much better! read more

This isn't the Publix I usually shop in, but I have been in here a few times out of sheer convenience. The store could use a good cleaning, especially the deli department which is dirty and chaotic. If I am in this plaza, I have no issue running in to pick up a few things, but I keep it limited to just a few basic items. This Publix doesn't have the same variety of items found in the other Publix stores I shop in on a steady basis. As they say, variety is the spice of life. The employees are awesome, especially the cashiers who are quite personable and quick! If they clean up the deli and expand on their inventory, I will update my review and throw in the fourth star. Publix Shops of san Marcos on Jog Rd. and Lake Ida. I accidentally dropped my husbands wedding ring near a register (my husband had just had emergency surgery and they passed the ring to me on his way into the surgical theater - I popped it into my zip pocket). It was late in the day, so I couldn't call Publix until the next morning. I called early the next morning and was happily surprised that someone had turned the ring in. I immediately picked it up. Publix has a very easy return policy. Just bring item back for refund and exchange. No receipt, no problem. This location is amazingly clean, organized and not very busy. We were able to pick up all our items and checkout within 15 mins. read more

Whoever is responsible for stocking shelves is doing a horrible job! They are constantly out of most regularly bought items! Then, they put new products in place of those. Even Instacart cannot fill orders. Suggest to the manager on many occasions, but customers should not have to do it every time !!! Publix needs a good competitor to wake them up! read more

Wow, I thought ShopRite was a good market but now I think Publix has them all beat. I love their stores. The service, the cleanliness and usually the associates are the best. How lucky we are to have a company that does everything right--well most of the time anyway; since moving to Florida. All those customers coming and going--well it's enough to give anyone a headache, pity the associates who need to put on a good face. The problem is that all the good-will goes out the window when attitude 'rears it's ugly head'. Is not the harried customer always right? They call it the "Courtesy Desk". I guess it's a reminder for some people to be nice. Sadly; the reminder ploy sometimes breaks down and the courtesy desk becomes the snide desk. The employees are rude, unhelpful and lazy. I was trying to ask a question at Customer Service and the employees were to busy with their personal conversation to help me. If you go to the Deli at night the employees are more interested in closing time then helping customers. Its happened more then 1 occasion where they are to busy cleaning and don't even acknowledge you are waiting there. One time as I started to walk away then was asked, can I help you? I ignored them like they did to me and just went and bought pre-packed cold cuts & cheese instead. I go to Winn Dixie on Atlantic instead! read more

This has to be one of the worst Publix stores I've been to since 1982. The employees are rude, unhelpful and lazy. Imagine going up to buy some groceries and there are NO shopping carts. They can't get their employees to go out and bring them in? How about when the bagger and cashier are too busy chatting with each other (in Creole) to even acknowledge you or even take your groceries out to your car. Another disappointing Publix. Shopping is not a pleasure here. Check the expiration date on the foods. I once bought the Spinach Wraps and had to return them - oh yes, I returned them to make a point - because they were stale and crumbled when I took them out of the plastic wrapping. When I returned them to the Customer Service Desk, the cashiers just kept their personal conversation going without skipping a beat. No questions as to what's wrong with the product. No apology.
