What do Americans love ? Bulk. A lifetime supply of donuts and croissants, oversized cereal boxes just to say they have it. With rent in New York State and property tax in Long Island being so high, often I've been extremely confused as to where these people are storing these bulk items ? Under the bed ? The bathroom sink ? Their trunks ? Costco honestly makes me resent being American because of gluttony . I get that one might shop here for a large party or perhaps maybe even if they have a a large family of 6 but to shop here regularly I don't get. Can anyone afford to have that much sex anymore? For a family of 6, I'd imagine most parents would spend most of their waking hours at Job 1 and 2 unless you live in the south OR unless you own several flourishing businesses in New York. Most of the non- perishable items I understand that you could use over time but on some items I don't see the cost effective factor. A life time supply of batteries maybe, the oversized boxes of candy, I don't get. I imagine the young high school hustlers on the subways who are " raising money for their basketball teams etc" shop wholesale to make a profit. That makes makes sense to me. The traffic here is not worth the hassle to me. The extremely long lines and idiots who still haven't figured out how to utilize the Self Check Out don't motivate me to return here. read more

Visited this Costco on a busy weekend afternoon. It was crowded, but the lines moved decently well, and the store was large and well-stocked. I liked finding some different products that aren't carried at our usual Costcos, and we picked up a bunch of different Asian snacks knowing we might never find them again. The not-so-great about this Costco: They share the parking lot with a lot of other busy stores, so it's packed. (Still not nearly as bad as Brooklyn Costco's parking lot though.) This is more of a status update of shopping during a pandemic than a review. Despite today (Monday) being a cold and rainy day, the line to go inside was long. I arrived a little before 4 pm. But the wait wasn't so bad. I was inside within 30 min. The meat and seafood sections had limited selection. Many frozen items normally sold were also missing. No refrigerated juices. In additon to the items listed to be sold out in the photo, there were no bleach and Chlorox cleanup. There was one main check out line. A worker at the front directed people to go to specific register. The line and check out moved quickly. But unfortunately, the usual second person at each register to assist in unloading/loading the cart was missing. So customers had to load items back in the cart themselves. Not a big deal for me. The customer in front of me bought 2 packs of paper towels even though one pack was the limit per card. She was with an elderly man. The cashier asked if the second pack of towel was for him and he let that go. That was nice of him. Paper towels were not low in stock. read more

We've been Costco members for over 25 years and recently ponied up for the Executive card which rebates an extra 2% on Costco products. As others have noted, parking is abysmal and aisles are often crowded. I avoid zooish afternoon weekends, mornings tend to be better. Costco's product sizing can be excessive for my 2 person household but certain products (e.g. salad, fresh salmon, Suja green juice, trail mix, dog treats) are doable. I also love their non-food products like eyeglasses, holiday decorations, clothing and tires as they're high quality and very reasonable. I've booked deeply discounted vacation packages through Costco Travel, but if you go that route don't expect much help from their Seattle-based young agents who tend to be clueless; do your own research first. Their return policy is very liberal, basically they take anything back with no hassle at all. I've even seen people return half-eaten food products, classy! Once in awhile I get a huge hot dog and limitless soda (diet, natch) at the little food court up front for $1.49 before schlepping my cart to the car. Mind you, it's nowhere close to the chaos at the Brooklyn location, but the frenzy is enough to drive you berserk. This review is specifically for the print shop. As a few 4 and 5 star reviews on this page already alluded to, they're print shop is pretty great. I used to order from an e-commerce site for my art prints but my dad (who is passionate about photographer) mentioned he has gotten some pretty good results here and at a good price too. He recommendation was spot on! I ended up ordering several prints, basically printing blown-up versions of some of my digital artwork (that I draw on my phone when on the train) and a couple of freehand drawings. I printed several 16x20 posters (6.99/print) and several 20x30 posters (9.99/print). What I really love about using them is how simple and straightforward their online interface is. It's very intuitive and saves your history so you can selectively reorder previous prints with ease. With so many costco locations across New York, it's cool how you can even reorder prints to a completely different location the next time, if needed. read more

They seem to run out of stock on some things, which annoys me, because I drive 30 minutes to get there (without traffic), and they run out of things like whole milk and eggs (such as yesterday - 9/3/24). That was not the first time that has happened. It has happened many, many times. It probably would not bother me so much if it weren't for the fact that we pay membership fees to shop there, so I think they should have things like milk, in stock and available all the time! read more

I have a a crush on this Costco. They offer generous samples, have a wide selection of food choices, customer service is helpful and returns are easy. I also came here to get my car tires replaced and so far it's still in good shape and I do like that they offer free tire rotations and servicing of your tires if you bought and installed their tires with them. The food court here is amazing, if you like their pizza, it's the most worth it item on their menu. 10 bucks and you get a large thick pizza that can definitely last you more than 1 meal. If you dont like the wait, you can actually order via the phone and it does hold your place in the line. I was craving pizza and was already at Costco shopping around, time is very important to me, now more than ever since I have a little baby that demands my attention a lot of the time. So I called Costco while I was at Costco and ordered my pizza, I was told how long it took for my pizza to be ready and when I headed over and paid via the kiosk, all I had to do was show my paid receipt and told them I ordered over the phone and then BAM the pizza was right in front of me. I do like Costco, however, I think itll be great if they could label their aisles so you know what is where. I have to be honest, the first 2 times I came here I didnt like it and actually thought about not renewing my membership because I thought it was disorganized simply because of the lack of signs. The lack of signs did force me to walk through the whole store until I got well acquainted with where everything was. I've been here countless times already and still have a crush on Costco, but they can definitely still improve in this aspect in labeling where everything is. read more

Absolute madhouse. If you want to experience the end of the world, come here. Parking, even on a rainy weekday is still crazy. There are always tons of people at this Costco location as if a hurricane is on the way. As I pulled in to grab food to prepare for mom's birthday dinner, I just could not believe how crazy busy I t was. I was trying to get creamed spinach to go with the steak I was making and the most absurd thing happened. Crowds of people fighting over cheese samples, an old man actually pushed his cart straight into the food station just so he could have cheese and block everyone else. Hello, have you never ever seen cheese before? I just don't get it. People grabbing many samples in both hands and then still eating them as they are paying like they have never seen food in their lives before. The crowds that swarm at the food stations look like what you see in The Walking Dead. Other than that, everything is pretty well organized. We asked where one of the items was located and the workers did not know, but immediately asked their coworkers to help us sort that out. There is currently a sale going on for the water dispensers. I asked where the bottled water for it is for and the worker said we have to order it online. Why would you not carry and item that goes with the dispenser. So I put the dispenser back. It just did not make sense to me to have to separately order it. It is an inconvenience. There is one cashier and one helper so the lines moved pretty quickly. Bathrooms were pretty clean with sensor hand dryers. Very sustainable. Could be cleaner though. Soft serve here makes the trip worth it. read more

I live much closer to the Rego Park Costco, but always make the drive to this Westbury location. I'm a weekend shopper so it is always packed when I go, but the store is well laid out and the checkout line moves fast. Parking is free, but it is sometimes difficult to find a spot on the weekends which is not unexpected. They have a good selection of products and I have never left without getting what I had on my shopping list. My parents love that they carry some Chinese items like Chinese sausage and oyster sauce (much cheaper than our local supermarkets). My only wish is that Costco would have a gas station location in Queens/ Long Island like they have in NJ and other states. read more

Oof! That word describes it all. There's tons to go through if you're uncertain what you're seeking. So many aisles of stuff, whether it be food, clothes, toiletries, cleaning supplies, prescriptions (OTC and regular), dietary needs, office supplies, electronics, frozen foods, jewelry, etc. The plus side of things is that you save more overall if you shop there frequently. The downside is that you have to spend more to save more. .... Double whammy! I went there recently to get some (non)essentials. Paper towels, tissue boxes, I bought some chub (whitefish) - turned out okay --- a bit salty. (If you really want the best chub in town, go to Zabar's in the UWS.) I bought some long cukes - the ends were super squishy but the rest of them were fine. I found the green peas snack my sister got me addicted to. Bought three and I keep one bag at work. Yumm. I also noticed in that section these rice circles with beans in it, those are really good too. I think the rice crackers win more! I bought some turkey slices.... ingredient: Turkey. That's it! I have yet to taste it though. Plan to do that before it goes ew! I bought some Listerine - they didn't have the flavor I like, but you can't be too choosy with the savings you're getting. I think that's it... just a few items. Sometimes I dislike the plethora of it all especially when I'm home by myself, it's near impossible to devour everything before it goes bad or expires... it's more of a "family" shopping place. The queues are the worst. They need a better system, seriously. It's massiveness of a place gives me headaches in just 5 minutes. There's a lot of noise, from people moving about and talking and echoing sounds from the registers and other things there. Most people don't notice it, or they're really good at ignoring it. I dislike the whole members only ordeal... they should have better savings for members and worse savings for non-members. That way they can take everyone's money! Sometimes my parents aren't well and the lady/man checking the costco ID card gives me a hard time about going in to grab whatever my family or myself needs. That's frustrating. It's obvious I look like them, have the same surname as them, etc.... They also state that two people can use one membership and only one person has to be listed, so why the huge hassle? One of my favorite Costco's outside of the city! Love that there's a wine cellar right next door so after shopping at the warehouse, you can pick up the perfect complement for your steak dinner or house warming. Spacious warehouse albeit it only being one floor. Usually crowded as expected except weekdays when everyone's at work. Samples all around if you get hungry and food court with cheap prices to satisfy that appetite. Lots of parking and everything comes cheaper in bulk! What's there not to love? read more

I love coming here for the food. Its mainly why I do go to Costco. It's affordable and good in comparison to other fast food options. Stays insanely crowded but that's to be expected. You no longer have to be a member to enjoy the food court which is amaze balls, because I used to sneak in walking very close to other people. Food samples are almost always ready and nice selection of inexpensive bouquets. *Flow of the store layout could be improved for more streamlined shopping, but I'm sure it's part of some marketing plan. * read more

This Costco is a complete zoo... when I tell you that dozens upon dozens of people are hurdling in every minute and bumping into you , not taking the fact that I have a toddle in the carriage into consideration. I was so overwhelmed not by the store or products but by the trash people in this location. I literally had a woman behind me tell me to move because she couldn't bother to go around me like everyone else in a crowded store does . I wanted to get milk and eggs but the entrance to that section was so busy and packed I couldn't even squeeze by . No matter what section of the store we went to it was so crazy busy that we couldn't purchase half of what we wanted only because we couldn't get to it , I watched a grown woman sneeze directly on the vegetables not covering her mouth it made me sick . The only reason I gave them 2 stars was because check out was actually the fastest part but the lady kept my Costco card which in turn I had to go to a different Costco the next day and get a replacement card . This Costco AT&T counter is incredibly so disappointing. Their staff are not professional and definitely need more training before they serve customers. I stayed there one and a half hour and didn't get anything done! This experience is just so bad, and i will never go there again or choose Costco's cellphone counter. They told me there is promotion for AT&T New Customers in July. Since my current H20 is under AT&T already, I can not be counted as new customers to get the promotion. So they suggested that I switch to "Visible" to use their free trial, then switch to AT&T. All tedious long forms were filled, he helped me apply Visible free trial and contact H2o to cancel all my current service, which is already time consuming, then he just found out that Visible free trial can't port in my current cell phone number after he chatted to Visible's customer service. SO, I lost my number and had to only use the NEW VISIBLE CELL NUMBER. Are you just kidding me? We stated we want to keep our number in the beginning, if you are not sure that we can keep the old number, why not explain in the beginning? So much time was just wasted in vain. He just acted like he could handle it without any problem. Then another person came and tried to be more professional, but he didn't' really help. He talked to another staff for something else while letting me play around with H2o and Visible Apps on my phone. He just asked useless information when I was calling H2o in that noisy and crowding surrounding at Costco. SO, I had to call H2o to restore my number and old service. Then call VIsible to cancel the trial and return to where I was like nothing happened. It caused me so much trouble and wasted me so much time. I didn't complain at the site, because I can't stay there any more. I can't bear keeping standing there after one and half hour for this worst experience and I had to go to my car to hear clearly what H20 customer service said. If there is somewhere else for me to leave bad comments specifically for AT&& counter at costco, let me know, and I will go there. He was the most amazing person to deal with not only was he friendly and accommodating, but very knowledgeable and handled my problems without any hesitation. My family is a frequent customer at this Costco. We come here to shop..pretty much once every 2-3 weeks. And during each visit, we'll stock up mostly snacks, household products, vitamins and supplements and other goodies in bulk. I've never had an issue with customer service here, they are usually very professional and prompt with their service. It's a very well maintained environment as well, and I love the values at the food court. $1.99 for a huge slice of pizza, and I love getting their berry smoothie and they typically add or exchange a new item on to their menu every few months. I asked a worker who was designated to her own section about something in HER section...and she didnt know what I was talking about! The absolute busiest Costco possibly on the whole island. Use your "spider senses" to not get run over in the parking lot. The staff help you when you buy a specialty item that they need to get for you. Otherwise, one's mostly on one's own. I've never done the eyeglasses, nor pharmacy, the flooring nor the wireless service. Bought tires there a bazillion years ago & it was cheap and great service. Good quality tires. I don't get canned tuna there anymore.... opened one up and it was the wrong color. I don't know....possibly stored too long? The meat's Ok. Good electronics department. The apple pie can feed a whole country, and it costs like 7 bucks, and it's one of the best pies ever. Ever! I don't get the coffee there anymore. The Starbucks French Roast tasted like the oils were old (again,?? long storage time???). I stick to stuff that can sit for a while without spoiling. Or buy the more popular items. The dress shirts are surprisingly excellent quality. The ties start to get frayed at the ends after just 3 wears. The olive oil is the best deal there. Great value but not everything there is a bargain (such as somw grocery items). Go there off peak. Get a nice bottle of wine (Westbury Liquors) after your odessey, you deserve it! read more

Absolutely horrible location. Nonexistent parking unless you want to wait 35 to 45 minutes for a space to open up. And that includes if you show up an hour before they even open. The parking lot is shared by five other major businesses so what else did they expect when they were scouting out locations. Clearly Costco needs to rehire and rethink on a corporate level who works in their logistics department. Forget this location take a drive and go out to Farmingdale or down to Oceanside where there's actually a thing called parking there. I think this Costco is smaller than the one that I used to go in Melville. The checkout lines are also long even though it seemed that all the available cashiers were present. Great store if you like to buy in bulk. the warehouse has Opticians, a pharmacy, tire center and photo developing studio to process your pictures and refill your ink jet cartridges. They have there own butchers here and they sell USDA prime meat! $18.00 dollar a pound for USDA prime is a great deal! unlike "BJ'S wholesale club" they don't have a express lane for customers with less than 10 items. So if you are planning on buying 1 item, get on line and wait behind the people with 30 or more items in their carts. If you want to avoid the lines and crowd. On the weekdays go before 10am or after 4:00 PM. The weekends, "4get about it!!" You will wait. NOTE TO COSTCO: You guys need to have a better system in tracking your merchandise in stock. I filled out a ticket for a Nikon cool pix P510 camera, got on the long line and paid for it, then proceeded to pick up the camera at the pick up area. What I got was, "Sorry sir we do not carry this camera anymore" You guys were out of stock! I had to get my money refunded back right there because COSTCO was not ordering any more of these cameras. The system should have had a way of notifying the cashier the item was no longer available, or you should have pulled the sample off the display area. read more

What can I say about Costco... It's HUGE and they sell everything in ULTRA LARGE packages. I like their selection of frozen foods (just be prepared to store these food packages and take out what you need.) Frozen food does not last forever so buy what you need, not in speculation of a year from now. Also, just because it comes in big packages and it's piled high DOES NOT mean that it always a good deal. Shop the items and be prepared to measure the per piece cost. They have a very generous return policy and I have never been "stuck" with anything I truly wasn't happy with our did not perform up to speck. You can't go wrong with the oversized packages of cleaning supplies, paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, plates, etc... I like and use their luggage and feel that their private label brands are built well, this includes their clothing. I still can't figure out how their cashiers move so quickly through mountains of filled carts and it still take me 5 minutes to get a container of milk through the cashier at my local supermarkets. read more

Always extremely crowded and chaotic, and lately there are no carts to be found anywhere in the vicinity of the Entrance. Yesterday evening, I was trying to help locate one for an elderly woman and mentioned this to the employee who checks your membership at the door "Joe" and he was extremely rude: "people have to go GET the carts" was his reply. I told him he had a bad attitude and he replied with "so do you". I don't think I will be visiting this Costco again. read more

Without a doubt - this location is BUSY. From the parking lot all the way to check out. I've learned - go on off-peak times because weekends and certain week evenings are hectic. Yet - very pleasantly pleased at the cleanliness and organization - rotation of fruit/vegetables, and the cashiers are IMPRESSIVE. I have always had pleasant, efficient and speedy checkouts. Their customer service/return desk - definitely can improve the speed. The cafe/food spot needs to be better maintained. Overall, better stocked, most efficient checkout and most clean Costco in the area. read more
