However, I have had some bad experiences with local garages in Pelham (see my review of Bencivengo auto service in Pelham for example). So finding M&M has been a relief - a real breath of fresh air. The owner, Paul, is smart and funny and down-to-earth. He comes across as honest and fair; I have yet to feel as though he's tried to sell me on something I didn't need, and I have been pleased with all my transactions with M&M. Recommended.

I came in this week to get my front brakes checked out. After about a 10 minute wait they brought me into the garage and explained to me exactly what I needed done with my car, as well as another issue that discovered on my back shocks. As someone who knows almost nothing about auto-repair I really appreciated this. I didn't feel pressured at all to take care of it that day, but was glad that they pointed it out to me. They were very clear in explaining everything that needed to be done and what my options were. They were having a brake pad promotion so the prices seemed very fair to me. I will definitely be returning for future repairs.

The staff here are friendly, kind, attentive and passionate about what they do-which makes all the difference when you are shopping for car services. I most recently stopped in yesterday for an appointment to get four new tires put on. I was able to pick my car back up shortly after in a timely fashion. They even provided a courtesy call to inform me it was ready. The manager, Carlos, rang me up and provided excellent customer service, professionalism and kindness. Carlos displayed tremendous knowledge about the products and services offered at Mavis. My previous set of tires from Mavis lasted a whopping 4 years, and I can certainly attest that the products and services offered here are a perfect blend of affordability and durability. If you are looking for a mechanic or tire repair shop, I highly recommend you stop by this Mavis for an excellent customer experience you and your car deserve!

He seemed annoyed from the beginning like he didn't want to help me. He briefly looked at my tires and said yes they need replacement. He quickly dismissed me and said no that's only online and there's nothing he could do. I went to the Mamaroneck location and the staff was much more helpful. They helped me set up the appointment and helped me order the tires I wanted. I don't think I'll be visiting this location any longer.

BEST SHOP AROUND, HANDS DOWN!!!…read more While most people gravitate towards the mundane, and your typical shop that either overcharges their "customers" or really don't have a true idea of what they're in fact doing as a legitimate shop, Mario and his crew stand alone as the IDEAL LOCATION/TRUE BODY SHOP. Let me take a moment to reintroduce these guys for anyone NOT in the know. Don't waste your time anywhere else. GO HERE. Period! As for my personal experience, I had a truly frustrating situation that I had unknowingly been dealing with, and after purchasing a brand new tire...low and behold it was in fact NOT my tire...but my wheel / rim. Let me be clear by stating that the tire purchase was not through this shop. However, After a long search, calls, emails yadda yadda yadda I finally landed on Proformance Industries right here in New Rochelle; which transitioned into an email, and later a phone call. The nature of this review is to really expand and un-wrap the true definition of not only professionalism, but a true auto-shop experience, you know, like your grandad or pop took you to?! Yea, you know that spot. Well, as for me this was exactly that. After literally 1 phone call I was able to take notice of the very easiness, family nature that these guys embody, and that Mario exemplified as he took his time to explain, answer all my questions, and not rush through what would be to some as just another phone call. Fast forward to today, where I was not only able to get an immediate / same day reservation to take a look at the problem, which was a cracked rim on my 328i x-drive, but a SAME DAY fix. The seemingly easy transition for these guys to assess the actual damage, come up with a solution, show me the issue, and come up with a more than reasonable cost was a true breath of fresh air to put it lightly. To put this very lightly, I was in and out of the shop in about an hour, WITH my wheel / rim fixed, and ZERO HEADACHE! Might I also add that they took the time to go through everything, and even gave me a better rate than initially anticipated. Overall, GO SEE MY BOY MARIO! Get your car / vehicle / situation worked out, and stop wasting your money! THANKS AGAIN Brother, I will definitely be back! -Cheers! Ray

Today I took my BMW to Giacomo Service II (Sunoco )on Palmer Ave Larchmont and spoke to Angelo and asked if they could check the tires pressure and make sure that the car was good for a 4 hr road trip. The mechanic lifted the car checked underneath and only added air in the 4 tires. It took 5 mins I went to the cashier and was presented an invoice for $85. I told Angelo that the mechanic only added air in the tires and I wasn't going to get robbed of $85. He told me he doesn't negotiate and took $40 cash and told me to NEVER come back ever again.
