It was a nice experience overall. Not the biggest one that we have seen but checkout was fast here compared to the usual one we go. The store was clean and it was easy to find the things we needed. Besides it being full of inconsiderate people who will literally run over your feet with their carts. Now we have to deal with lazy workers. The self checkout has two or three people with a scanner. I thought their main job was to help scan people who had a lot of items. Both workers ignored us and scanned people who had a few small items. When we asked "Claudia" for help she told us to go to a checkout isle. We said we didn't want to move and can just do it ourselves and she was so rude! So much attitude right out the gate and was throwing our items around and making us feel very uncomfortable. Just picked up a package of rib/loin pork chops From the scottsdale location. Packing date was today feb 18th. Was in and out of the store in 20 mins, 10 minute car ride to the room and starting to prep them for cooking right away. The top layer of chops looked good, but when i got to the three bottom chops that i couldnt see, they looked wrong, soft, kinda bloody, marbled somewhat and then the smell hit me. Brought all of them back right away and got a refund but seemed like some quality control issues for sure . read more

Possibly one of the fastest Costco's I have been to. One time I was looking for a certain product and this store was the only one carrying the product. I called a few Costco's and found out this one had the popcorn I was looking for. Costco usually has interesting products. I like that some Costco's have a gas station and a food court. The food at the food court tends to be good and easy to get. The line goes quickly and the soda fountain is ready to access. read more

You make everyone scan to get in, wait in long line after shopping and then WAIT LONGER TO GET OUT! If you are going to make us scan so much, then at least get people to work the door so we don't stand in line again for 10 minutes trying to leave. This is my favorite location for a few reasons. It used to be too busy on the weekends for me to visit but my office is around the corner so I would just drop by during my lunch breaks and store everything in my car/office until I went home. I believe they have the largest wine/alcohol selections in the Arizona locations and the employees in that area are always so friendly and helpful. I've gotten some pretty good suggestions for wine there. My husband and I buy majority of our liquor there. This location seems to always be crowded with the exception of later in the evening. During the first few months of Coronavirus, there was a long line to get inside during the mornings. Not bad at all anymore - people and their hoarding habits seemed to have simmered down. While I live in the middle between two locations, this one is my favorite. I've noticed items at this location that I couldn't buy at the other one so I frequent this one more. They installed self checkout so it's nice for those that want to buy just a few items or don't want others to touch their stuff. This location also has a car wash! I usually get gas, go through the car wash and then go shopping. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! They damaged the bumper of my car by dragging a tire out of my trunk and have taken zero accountability for it. I brought it up to the Tire Center Supervisor who was not apologetic, kind, or understanding, which upset me the most because they showed zero accountability for the situation. He had me file a claim with them and Costco's insurance company (or whatever) told me that the claim was denied because their video footage showed that there was "no struggle while getting the tire out of my trunk and putting the spare back in." I really LOVE Costco. They have consistent locations and their private label brands are top shelf. This location is ALWAYS busy, but it's worth the hassle. BUT, what is it with inconsiderate people thinking that standing in the middle of a busy entry way is okay? I'm super excited they have self checkout but I tend to buy wine, so that eliminates this as an option for me because you can't buy alcohol in the self checkout. HELLO!?!? How can you argue with the amazing value, the challenge for someone in a small household is that everything is bulk. I do like the prices, the variety of items, and the wine selection here is absolutely amazing and so is the liquor situation. I usually have a good experience at Costco. Not so today at the optical department. I took a number while there was only one customer being helped. Two female employees chatted away about homeowners insurance and a man with a tag that said Licensed "something" with a last name beginning with "L" stayed on his computer without saying a word. I stood there about 10 minutes holding onto my precious number believing that someone would eventually ask me what I needed . I also believe in Santa Claus. So a male customer walks up to one of the women and he tells her what he needed and she promptly began to help him. I then asked "WHAT NUMBER ARE WE UP TO?" She then said that she thought I was being helped by the man on the computer. I said that I was not being helped by him . She said she would be a minute and then take care of me. So with all that waiting, I am still waiting more. I muttered." this is really ridiculous". The man at the computer who had ignored me all this time suddenly revived himself to address my comment. He said," it's not ridiculous just a mistake. You know what a mistake is". I responded that I indeed found it to be ridiculous that I was waiting for so long and yet another person was taken before me. He kept reiterating about mistakes, asking me if I have ever made a mistake. I told him that his continuing to respond to me regarding this issue is not something he should be doing to a customer. I believed he was fueling the fire. A person who works at Costco should have more common sense about customer service, not trivialize a customer's experience, and not continue to engage in a war of words with a customer. Sometimes we forget to review the common places near our own homes. Such is the case with me and my nearest, most frequented Costco. I have been to almost 40 different Costco warehouses in over a dozen states. I have enjoyed them all, but I have found no other as pleasant as this one. The employees in the warehouse and the tire center are wonderful. The place is always clean. The merchandise layouts are always well kept, and they always have good stock on their merchandise. Almost forgot - the pharmacy and hearing center staffs are welcoming, professional and very helpful. Needless to say, I love the $1.50hot dog and a Coke. Every single "customer service" person I had contact with was snarky and down right rude The cashier at check out did not look at me once just waved the receipt while she turned around ~ the customer behind me grabbed it and said "thank you for shopping at Costco" A "customer service" person on the floor was annoyed with me because I chose an item from the back (one with no finger prints all over it) and made it clear he was annoyed!! The woman at the door checking receipts did not look at me or acknowledge me ~ it was like I was invisible Apparently the management of this Costco has significant management issues ~ it's obvious these employees are not treated with respect and kindness at the Hayden Costco. I came to this Costco today because they have a sale on TruNature Krill Oil 900 mg for $12.99 for 70 capsules, 2.2 months supply, which is $6 off. When I google krill oil, it costs $22 - $30+ for only 1 month supply. Indeed at the same time, Kirkland had a sale for only 500 mg for $17.99 and that is after $5 off, so $23 for almost half the mg. So I bought 8 bottles include the 4 I purchased about a 2 weeks ago. I also was thrilled to find Osso Bucco dinner in the frozen food section, $15 Osso Bucco is my favorite Italian dish. And I could not resist the rotissierie chicken, smells sooooo good. I get the largest size that fills the whole box. I asked the staff wearing red tunics, many times, where things were. They were all so helpful and cheerful to serve me. I also printed pictures for 19 cents each, lady was very helpful when I was having trouble with the self-help machine. Gas today costs $1.99, elsewhere is $2.25. Yes, I sure miss the free food samples, you can make a light lunch out of it. I also stopped eating the hot dogs, because they no longer give you the onions. Today I bought only the krill oil, the osso bucco for $15, and the roast chicken. When I tried to buy paper towels, they only had bamboo paper towels, 12 rolls for $16. No thanks. Oh, when I went to the ladies room, the toilets were infuriating. Every time I laid the toilet seat cover on the seat, the auto flush would grab it and away it went. After losing the toilet seat cover several times, and then toilet flushed again, while I hurry up and tried to sit down, without the seat cover, I put in my mind that I am going to report this waste of water and seat covers and my time, to try to be sanitary. I am extremely disappointed with the service from Costco's food department today. I called at 10:30am to place an order for two cheese pizzas to be picked up at 12pm. I arrived at 11:40am to pay and wait, and I saw a guy who bought around 20 pizzas and left. Yet, by 12:20pm, I was still waiting. It's not my problem if people called out, but there were several customers waiting for a long time as well. I had promised pizzas to 10 kids at a school, and I arrived empty-handed because the pizzas I paid for were nowhere near ready. I ended up getting a refund. Maria and Jody were doing their best, and it's not their fault, but this isn't the first time this has happened to me at this location. I felt compelled to write this review because I left very dissatisfied and disappointed, especially since the kids couldn't have lunch. This level of service is unacceptable, and significant improvements need to be made to ensure orders are fulfilled on time and that all customers are treated fairly. read more

Every Costco is pretty much the same. Love Costco. This is not my favorite location because I'm not a fan of the parking lot. They always are crazy busy but this one seems designed not the best. I didn't even think about it. The spot I chose I could walk straight through the cars the get there but getting back to my car had to go all they way around because I was parked in the middle. You could not get through the cars with the cart. I tried believe me.. several different times. This isn't specific to this location but Costco has the best deals (especially around holidays) on jewelry. Their price of diamonds I feel are unmatched! They guarantee a certain grade at a min, so often times if higher. I purchased my first ring in store but the only carry size 7. I'm a size 5 I wish the person would have mentioned ordering online you get the size you need and is usually at your house within 2 days. I think I paid around $1700 and took immediately to a Jewler to get sized. The jewler was impressed for what I paid through Costco and said his estimate on the ring was close to $7k!! I've since become a Costco diamond addict. Around holidays you can get lots of money off. $2000 off tennis bracelet, $900 off earrings, I purchased 4 of these bands that were normally $999 at Christmas time I paid $400!!! Total steal. The list goes on. If you see something you love.., add it to your online cart and wait at least a little bit because chances are it goes on sale. I get so many compliments on a ring I spent $3k for- no joke. My wedding ring was significantly more expensive and I never get compliments. Costco's diamonds are so sparkly!!!! read more

I don't understand why this Costco got such poor ratings. Yes, there are always lots of people and parking is an issue, but what Costco doesn't have this problem. What sets this Costco apart is the liquor section. Every place/country I go, I always make it a point to stop by the local Costco to see if there are any Costco specials on liquor. I've been to Japan and Kentucky looking for whiskey and bourbon and have left very disappointed. Imagine my surprise when I walk into this Costco to pick up some flowers for a graduation I had flown in for and see liquor heaven. They have everything here and when I went they had some pretty crazy rebates going on as well. The selection of liquor is the best in the area. I have never seen a larger selection of liquor at any Costco I've been to. If you have, please msg me and let me know which one you went to and I will be sure to schedule a trip. Needles to say I left with a cart full of liquor. Whoever is in charge of the alcohol at this Costco needs a raise and need to teach the other store how to stock inventory.
