It can take up to a month to get an appointment and do not be surprised if you get a call a few days before to let you know that he has to reschedule. This has happened to me twice. Once you finally get to the doctor's office, you may wait an hour or an hour and a half to see him. It's really quite unacceptable. Getting through on the phone is also difficult. Do not be surprised if you are told to hold and forgotten about for 15 minutes. Do not be surprised if you go in to get test results and are told that they have not scanned the results in yet. Do not be surprised if you leave a message for an emergency and they never receive or check their messages. You may speak to one assistant who will tell you one thing and another assistant who will tell you another. There is very little regard for your own personal time. I've seen one patient demand her copayment back because the wait time was too long. I understood her frustration. Overall, his office is extremely disorganized and while he is a good doctor who knows what he is doing, I think that his office needs to have a serious restructuring.

Since our Optometrist, Alma Jacobsen, moved here to this new location, we thought it would be best to get our new eyeglasses here as well. The space is clean, large and bright. There is a receptionist area, waiting area, and a room for younger kids to hang out in. The selection of eyeglass frames here were satisfactory. I tend to go for the designer brands and I found the prices in par with most other places. Just as I predicted, my vision has remained the same for the last three years. I only need it for driving and going to the movies. I would say that I have a mild form of directional dyslexia so I have to make sure my new eyeglasses help me on the road. Just don't ever leave me alone in a corn maze. I would never make it out alive. We have been seeing Alma Jacobsen for years. I wouldn't go to anybody else. She is super friendly unlike the other ones I've been to where they seem robotic without a smile. She's patient and addresses all your concerns.

They showed me a piece of paper with my 'supposed' insurance benefits and what my insurance would cover. I was not allowed to hold the paper, which was so strange. There were two pages, but I don't know what was on the first page. They told me I was only eligible for 35% off frames, when in fact my insurance covers the first $150 then another 20% off! They quoted me $40 for single vision lenses, when my insurance copay is $0! I don't know what this printout was, but it didn't even have my name at the top. I spoke with my insurance company and they said NOT to go back here. I saw the owner shoot me a few looks when I started to ask questions too. I'm not trying to be rude, but I just want to warn people before they give them their hard earned money! I would not purchased my eyewear from this business.
