This place is located in the same complex as Safeway. With that said there's plenty of parking in the area. When you first walk in, you will find a variety of different types of glasses/ sunglasses. The receptionist is located right in the middle and can easily be found. The office has a quirky personality with Pokémon, decorations found throughout! The receptionist was kind and was able to help me get checked in right away. Most importantly, the optometrist was awesome! He was very thorough in his exam which I had a hard time finding locally. He even has a good sense of humor. Overall, if you're looking for a great optometrist, you found the right one! Bonus, they even take VSP!

Even now that I live in La Quinta, I still order from them. That alone should tell you how solid they are. The office is clean, organized, and runs efficiently. You're not sitting around waiting, everything moves the way it should. What stands out most is how thorough they are. They take their time, explain things clearly, and make sure you understand what's going on. It never feels rushed. The staff is welcoming and easy to deal with, and you can tell they actually care about doing things right. They also have a great selection of frames and focus on quality. I was charged $198 for a Ray-Ban frame (after a 30% discount since it was a second pair, it was $138.60). I found the same frame on the Ray-Ban website for $57.40. I called them the same day to cancel my order, but they said it was in production, and I would have to pay 50% of the original price for cancellation. Even the lenses are super priced. $290 for lenses with UV Protection and Anti Reflective Coating. I was getting the better premium lens for half the price. I am not going to purchase glasses here anymore, it feels like you are scammed if you look at actual prices.

My mom wanted larger sized lenses for her progressive Rx rather than the current smaller ones. Unfortunately not many places carry the Silhouette brand but they also will not make new lenses if you bring in the frames. I called around and luckily spoke to a very patient and helpful lady who explained the situation regarding the Silhouette brand AND they will make make new lenses for my mom's frames here! Eureka! For those who are wondering why she doesn't just get new frames...this frame is ultra light since it's titanium and super durable cuz my mom has had it for a few decades. It also is her favorite frame so she doesn't want to change them. You know how the 'wiser'/older people don't like change lol. Anywho...we drive up to Folsom from Elk Grove. As soon as we walk in we're greeted warmly and with a smile. I again explain our predicament regarding my mom's frames. Ashley kindly guides us to the section that displays what we need. She patiently gives us advice, answers questions and does a lot of measuring and consulting. Needless to say she spends quite a bit of time with mom carefully measuring for the new lenses. My mom commented that she's never had anyone take such care with her measurements before. Poor Ashley... she was done with my mom but then it was my turn. She took at least an hour or so combing the internet searching for some frames for me. It had to be within specific parameters since I'm extremely nearsighted with astigmatism, need nose pads, light weight frames (preferably titanium), full frame, certain shape and size, etc. She was brain storming with the other nice lady in the office trying to find some suitable frames. They were busy in there with patients coming and going but we never felt rushed or shorted on customer service. Kudos to these ladies who delved out superb customer service with patience, humor and smiles ! Parking was easy and plentiful. They had great 80s music playing softly in the background that I quietly jammed to while browsing through the vast variety of frames. I'll definitely whisk my mom back to this establishment from Elk Grove. She was treated with kindness and patience which speaks volumes. Dr. Han, the owner, is the best optometrist I've ever been to (and I've been wearing glasses for almost 40 years). Over the years, he has reduced his office hours and brought on additional optometrist, and I have had a good experience with all of the ones I've seen. Their prices for glasses are competitive and they carry a great selection of frames. Dr. Han has given me dozens of free trial pairs of contacts over the years and the few times I've had problems with new glasses he has replaced them without issue free of charge. (any reputable optometrist should do the same, but I still appreciate it!) The office staff, from the receptionists to the eyewear technicians, are always very friendly and helpful as well.

I received my class for everyday use last friday and the progressions are amazing as well as the fit of the lens for me. The technicians are very nice and they do a great job offering you several options. You do need to call for when your orders are avaiable because they do ship your frames out to get the new lenses fitted. The selection is very good and what I really appreciate is that they are willing to take the time to answer any questions that you may have concerning your order. I will return here again.

I took off work to make my 10:00 am appointment. Upon arriving on time I was greeted by a tall blond woman with glasses. I told her I was there for my appointment. She stated to me that there was no ophthalmologist working that day. I told her that I had an appointment. She responded in a very snarky manner with the exact same words that she had previously stated that there was no ophthalmologist on site. I clarified that I had an appointment. She stated that I was left a message the day prior to cancel the appointment. I told her that I had not received a call or message canceling the appointment and ask why I did not receive an email cancelling the appointment if I had received an email confirming it. She again in a very snarky manner repeated that I had received a message. I produced my phone and asked what number the call had come from. I then showed all my incoming calls proving I had not received a message and asked why an email had not been sent. She then stated that I SHOULD have received a message and she had been gone for 2 days and didn't know what happened. I reminded her she stated that I DID receive a message. Then she tried to place a Jedi mind trick on me and insist that she had always stated that she had said I SHOULD have received a message. Bottom line: 1) the ophthalmologist blew off my appointment 2) I never received a cancellation notice despite receiving a confirmation 2 days prior 3) upon arrival the tall blond woman was snaky, impatient and interrupted me I would not recommend this place if you want professionalism and good customer service.

She had two patients to check in for appointments with ophthalmologist. They were her priority. Understand There were difficulties with for diagnostic equipment up and running. Again understanding. After twenty minutes of wandering around looking at frames and optician on her phone apparently trying to fix the the problem. She comes to the front showroom to accept her Starbucks delivery. No acknowledge of me. Time for me to go. Returned days later again with prescription in hand. First optician was there. New one. She understand my need for specific needs of frames. She left me with a selection. Trying frames on without any guidance. Made a decision. By that time another optician who did the measurements and finalized my order. Went to pick up my new glasses. The opticians were sitting there when I walked in. Just handed my glasses in the case. (Since first and second visits I had surgery and arm in a sling) Had to ask for the glasses to be opened. Tried them on. Wanted something to read. Only thing close was a business card. Asked for a reading card. "Oh here you go ". Glasses are perfect and value was good for VSP insurance. Lots of little things didn't work around the shop; the blood pressure machine didn't work, the DR had to reset the lenses machine, and when checking out the machine also had to be re done as well. Nothing big here. Alex said my name wrong to the VSP lady but I am glad he called them to get my insurance straightened out. And I know he was trying to help but he gave us the wrong prescription paper- I was accidentally viewing someone else's prescription! If I didn't point it out to Myisha, maybe we would have ordered the wrong script? Glad we caught it though. I am coming in next week to pick up my contacts and order more- I plan on updating my review again after picking up the new contacts :)
