You can never go wrong with Costco. What's not to love about this place? Every location has it's ups and downs so here's what I think about this Costco in Davie. Let's start with the good. They opened up their gas station a few months ago. It's a fairly large gas station and I've never really had to wait for a free pump. But then again, I make an effort to shop here on weekdays right after I get out of class to avoid the craziness of weekend shoppers. Now on to the store. They have a separate liquor store right outside the entrance. That's where you can find all the hard stuff. But if you're looking for your wine and beer, you have to venture into the main store. The place is kept relatively clean and neat. The set up is like any other Costco that you'll go to: sale items up front, clothing and seasonal stuff in the middle, food at the back, you get the drift. I don't know if it's just me, but every time I visit this location, I always see tons of samples. Yes, I know Costco is infamous for many things, including samples...but I feel like they have more sample stations than other locations I've been to. I mean, I'm not complaining, but because of all the samples I've noticed that it's a little harder to navigate through the food and produce isles when everyone's trying to grab a freebie. They don't carry some products that I'm used to having access to at other locations, but it's no big deal. They have plenty of cashiers on hand all the time so the lines are too bad. They also have a self checkout area, but I'd avoid those because some people just can't seem to read the signs that say "no cash." Because of that, the lines get all backed up since the employees have to go through the trouble of accommodating those who can't read or those who believe that rules don't apply to them. -_- But on a positive note to end my review...it's Costco. You'll love any location you go to. read more

I love Costco and would give it 10 stars, but this location isn't one of their best. It feels a little smaller than the regular stores and the parking can be a pain. But I think they have most of the normal stuff like a tire center, optometrist, and photo center. Costco's prices can't be beat and is a great place to help keep you on budget. You can get almost anything here from books and movies to furniture and electronics to groceries and baked goods. If you need to buy a birthday/office party cake, you can order them here and will get a cake twice as big for less money than at the grocery store and they taste even better. They also have fresh and frozen seafood, meats, and the rotisserie chicken is awesome! I could go on and on about all the goodies inside and the great prices but if you're a member, you already know and if you're not, you should be. The membership is definitely worth the price and get the Costco AmEx to save even more money. Great Food,Great Prices ! I am here at least three times a month .. If you are going to get a TV this is the place. You can't beat the price or the extra two year guarantee. If something is wrong they take it back no questions, no hassles. I like the whole chicken, roasted ,3lbs for $4.99 enough to last for 2 days. Love Costco! This is a membership wholesale club, but unlike other chains I believe Costco has the best quality products. This is a very busy location so the veggies are always super fresh and always great price. The best part of shopping at Costco is the samples. The rotisserie chicken is a must! $5 for a while chicken, I like taking it apart and using it in other recipes. Don't forget to grab a hot dog on the way out for only $1.50 with includes a soda. It seems I am always on the run when I visit Costco in Davie. In the past few months, I have managed to get 4 new Michelin truck tires with the Costco Citi card and saved over $100.00. Additionally, I walk the store to see the new arrival as inventory changes often, while completing my shopping list. I love there recently improved 100% plant based protein powder selections and their variety of cheeses and healthy snacks. This Costco is very clean and the customer population is nice. It's a great location to work and shop.

First time at this Costco. Parking lot was packed and drive around for a few minutes looking for a spot. Door greeter was friendly, and directed us to the Membership Desk, so we can purchase a membership. At the membership desk there was only one other person in line waiting to be tended to ahead of us. When it was our turn, the associate had a look of disdain and wasn't very friendly. I understand that working in retail, things happen, personal issues or whatever. Having worked retail in the past, I totally understand. The associate just dropped the membership cards on the desk and walked away. At the end of it all and paying for our membership cards, I felt like I should've reconsidered my purchase and not bothered with Costco. I've been to other wholesale clubs, and it definitely wasn't like this. After that I am not very keen on going to Costco at this point. I'll give them another try though, maybe when they first open at 10am. Hopefully my next experience will be better and I won't totally regret purchasing a membership :( -So I've been to this location on a few other occasions and I'm sorry it is absolutely way too crowded and crazy ALL THE TIME at this location. If I want a hotdog, I just want to buy a goddamn hotdog. What I don't want to do is to buy a $50 membership, walk into a giant warehouse, and wait in line at the f---ing counter. Having said that, Costco has a $1.50 hotdog soda combination. That sounds great, right, but you have to remember that you have to pay $50 just to get that deal. So, if you only get that combo 200 times in a year, you're really paying $1.75 for the hotdog and soda. They sell other things there, but quite a few of them I won't buy. Among these are: - Kirkland dungarees - Gallon tubs of mayonnaise - Sacks of beans - Kind Bars™ (They sell boxes that pair Dark Chocolate Nuts and Sea Salt, which is delicious, with Madagascar Vanilla Almond, which is gross) - Six pound wedges of cheese - Frozen porkpies I think there's also gasoline, but it's a giant pain in the ass for a twenty cent discount. Don't be an idiot. Go to a regular gas station, but remember that self serve robs some poor family man of his job. read more

I went to the Tire Center yesterday to purchase new tires for my F-150. Mostly because tomorrow my family will be traveling from Miami to Gainesville. I had called ahead of time to ask if they sold the tire I wanted (BF Goodrich KO2 Tires) as I know that it would have to be a special order. They had asked what vehicle I had and what tires I wanted. I informed them that I wanted a larger more aggressive tire for my truck. They said they could order it for me. I came into the store and spoke to the salesperson who placed all the information in the PC. He called another person as the computer notified him that this was not the standard Highway tire they have for my truck. The other person did say it was a tire that would fit my truck. I placed the order and they let me know that it would be in the following day. The next day (Today) I left work early so that I can make it on time to have my tires installed. I dropped off the truck at 4:30 PM they said I would be ready in 1 and a half hours. At 6 PM they call me and informed me that they could not install my tires onto my truck. Not because they did not fit. But because it was larger than the original tire on the truck. Apparently they have some stipulation that they can only go 3% larger or smaller than the original tire. That information would have been helpful on the phone or at the time of purchase, not the day before my family has to leave on a long distance trip. Then he tells me that I can opt to install the tires and sign off on voiding any warranty on the tires. Why would anyone want to purchase new tires without even the manufactures warranty on the tires. I informed them that this would not work for me. Then he said if I wanted then they could reimburse me for the purchase if I did not want them to install the tires. I had to go to the service desk to get my money back for the un-installed tires. Its now 7PM and I need to find a place that will install tires at the last second. Luckily Pepboys was close by. They did not sell the tire I wanted but at this point I was stuck with what they had in stock at the size I wanted. They sold me the size tire I wanted (It was a selectable choice in their system). They did state they would do what they could to have it installed today but where honestly looking at delivering my truck in the morning. Its nice to get information up front so you can plan accordingly. At the end of this all. This was the first time I tried to purchase tires at Costco and after this experience it will be the last. read more

Never seen so many rude people in one place at one time. What happened to common curtesy and being polite? The parking lot is a zoo and when you get inside it is not much better! People will run into you with carts and not even apologize. AVOID THIS COSTCO! Only good thing about this costco is the gas station which luckily you can avoid all the frustration by entering and exiting through the back of the location. read more

Just to concur with another customer reviewer regarding this Costco's Tire Center. I went to the Davie Costco to check and purchase new tires. Tires for my vehicle were not available and had to be ordered and shipped from South Carolina!! What is wrong with the supply chain in Florida??? The cashier said 2 to 5 days for delivery to the store. After 2 days, I called to check on the status of the order. The person on the phone said I was given the wrong information and that I would have to wait from 7 to 10 days! After having paid up front for the tires, I was told that I would have to take my refund paperwork to the main customer service. I had to wait on the line for more than a half hour out the door while customers were queued up for refunds on their various items! The tire center charged my card. Why couldn't they expedite the refund so that I would not have had to wait a half hour on a line to restore the credit to my Costco account? Evidently, the store manager is not attending to the customary customer service when the Tire Center gives out incorrect information and, then, makes no effort to rectify the problem!! read more

On most typical runs, I enjoy Costco as an adventure...and we do buy when we visit...however, last week, we viewed a hanging "barn door" for either a closet or bedroom...and liked the piece. It was originally $199.00 which we obviously thought was a great price...went back four days later, and its now $249....and purchased it regardless. When my Wife called in and requested a better explanation how this could have gone up $50.00 in less than 4 days...she outlined there was a coupon for the $199 which ran its course...and if we didn't like the door or the Price, "we can return it". Now I get it...I'm not anticipating the Four Seasons customer experience...I just expected better than the answer given. Have a little empathy at least...but it was clear this customer service associate just didn't care. This will not sour me on the Costco experience overall...however, if Costco is listening...you might want to offer empathy training, or empowering the Customer service associate with offering something in return other than "we can return it". read more

This is the location I always go to for gas and to do my shopping. One thing I would love to see is to be able to use my internet on my phone when I'm inside. They could have free wi-fi for the customers at least, other than that, I'm a happy customer. read more

I love costco. They have every day food items that twice the size of stuff you'd find in stores and a lot cheaper. They cover everything from automotive to clothes to food to house items and even electronics. You can go food shopping for a month here. The bad part is, like most wholesale stores you require a membership. If you shop a lot and like deals, get one. If you get hungry while you're shopping they have a food cafe. They serve pizza, pretzels, and much more. I would recommend trying they chicken roll with ranch dressing on the side. It is amazing for being served at a wholesale warehouse. The only negative side to costco is the lines. They can get horrible and even worse during weekends. read more

My nearest Costco. Large, clean, friendly staff. Great produce (quite cold going in) but like most complains... the lines!!! Ohhhhh the lines here are bad. I have been here like twice on a Saturday and avoid Saturdays like the plague. But even in the weekdays the lines are long. They really need to do something about this or have a better method and/or solution. This will have people less frustrated as they arrive to the cashier and people will most like want to shop more here if they are in and out instead of doing what I do which is pay a little more for the convenience of being in and out somewhere else. read more

Rejoined the Costco family on 12/23/15. This store was well maintained and managed. Although crowded the lines on check out moved, the cashiers were happy, helpful and polite, shelves stocked, aisles were clean, all in all made a stressful time a pleasant experience. Their fresh fish selection was excellent. Fruit and produce was fresh. I was able to pick up last minute gifts and food selections. We purchased the executive membership since this will be our primary one stop shopping destination. Their lobster bisque soup excellent. Looking forward to my next outing to Costco. read more

I hate going to Costco. It's always very crowded and the parking sucks. On a more positive note, I like to buy fruits and vegetables from here. I have spent the last year as a member of Costco. I have no complaints. The membership fee pays for itself, even if you never enter the store....just buy gasoline there and at the discounted price over the course of a year, you will save enough money. But the store will never disappoint you - quality beverages, electronics, clothing, appliances, furniture, produce, meat, and other supplies are in abundance. You can practically have a full lunch just by going around and sampling. In some locations at busy hours, check-out can sometimes be time-consuming, and depending on where you live, you may end up driving a long way to get to your nearest Costco. I have a membership with Sams and Costco. I normally go to Sams because is by my house. I came to Costco to get seafood for Mother's Day since my sister told me they have a good seafood selection. I was very disappointed with the poor customer service they had. I went to the self check out. The machine was acting up and it needed to be clear from one of the associate. As I ask someone for help that was standing in front of the machines. He told me "you see that girl right there with a red vest. That's who you ask for help" well Im thinking he is wearing a red vest too so what's the difference. I'm sure he gets a pay check too. When I went to the food court. I order XYC combo and when I received my food. I asked the young lady if they had charged me for the drinks because I got all my food except the 2 drinks. The young lady apologized and made the right decision to offer me a free drink. The cashier jumped into an argued with her and told her no that I needed to pay. I told them I don't mind paying. I just need two drink I told the cashier I said combo and you said ok then she said she got confused that it doesn't come in a combo meal. I said ok let me just pay. I gave them $3 dollars for two sodas and walked away. Didn't know it was going to be so hard to order food there. At the check outdoor. The man was very friendly, they should put him inside to drive some good customer service. read more

My recently widowed step-mother recently purchased four new tires from this location. Immediately after the mount and balance of the new tires the vehicle developed a significant vibration from the front end. When we returned to the service center to explain the situation the "manager" Brad Barger insisted it was our fault for not purchasing the alignment at the time of purchase. Blaming the customer for being cheap before verifying the concern is offputting at the very least. Two hours later we were told that two of the TPMS sensors were damaged causing them to come apart within the tires. When asked, "what would cause this type of damage?" Brad admitted the likely cause was improper breakdown of the wheels. And that we would be responsible for the replacement. The TPMS sensors were not broken before the tires were replaced, and the vibration only started after the new tires were put on. After a back and forth blame game. He finally offered to cover the cost of one sensor and wave the labor. That might have appeased some, but I'm not satisfied with having to pay extra for having our vehicle damaged. We come to Costco for the value and service, it's very sad that we were denied both on this visit. read more

I do not like this location at all. The staff is rude, and very unhelpful. The Pompano location is exact opposite. They are very friendly and helpful there. My girlfriend and I were there last weekend as we always are and I went to go get my watch from customer service desk and she was still at the check out with her items. They would not let her purchase the items on her visa card, Even the manager told her she could not (I came back and found this out). She just told them she would never shop here again because the woman that rang her up was very rude to her about it. I would have just used my card, but she was so distraught over how they treated her that she just wanted to leave. Why does costco allow you to bring in up to 2 guests? what is the point if they aren't permitted to purchase anything on their Visa card? They lost $200 in volume on her, and she will not be getting her own membership now. read more

I have been going to this Costco since they opened so I know where everything is even though they may change things around occasionally. The quality of the food products is good although the fruit merits thorough inspection because there is some spoilage. I purchase their prepared foods and baked products all the time for my work and home functions and they are always a hit. I remember when this Costco never got crowded but that's changed. If you don't like to wait, Saturdays and Sundays are days that should be avoided. They reduced their self-checkout lines because patrons were stealing. Smh. Was truly happy when they added the gas station. Anyway, I have been a Costco customer since it was PriceCostco and I'm not going anywhere. read more

I love Costco. Gas prices are always the cheapest! The only thing is I guess it's the plaza that needs to put a no right turn sign clearly saying "No right turns!" in that far right lane of the two left lanes to go straight or turn left out of there. I see people turning onto the on going traffic turning right all the time and I'm amazed there isn't more accidents. I shop here all the time and got a voice mail from Costco corporate the other day. It was a recorded message to let me know that the bedsheets I bought there four months ago may contain fibers that are not 100% Egyptian cotton and that if I'm not 100% satisfied I can get a full refund. I had to get my tires balanced and rotated on my car, and I noticed while pumping gas that they offered this deal with nitrous air fill for $23. When I walked in there on a Wednesday morning, the place was already busy. I handed my keys over and paid prior to service. 1hr 45 mins was the expected wait time. I actually had to run errands, and my boyfriend was with me in his truck, so no biggie. When I returned around 2 hours later, I didn't see my car in the "tire center parking only" spaces. I walked in to the shop and there was another female customer standing at the desk waiting to be helped. After a few minutes of waiting, I asked her if she was being helped or if anyone was in fact working there today?! She said she had been waiting over 5 minutes and no one had offered her help. We continued to wait and several more customers entered. Finally, one customer yelled at the top of her lungs "is anyone working here today?" Still... No one came. About 8 minutes and 5 customers in line later, an assistant came to help. After all that, he said my keys were in the garage and to walk around the outside to pick my car up. as directed, I walked around and saw two of the mechanics just standing outside laughing and joking with each other.. Not working. I asked for my keys and where my car was parked. One guy said, "somewhere in the parking lot". Seriously? Can you please be more specific... It's a big parking lot. He then told me it should be in the first aisle, further up. I walked over to see my car surrounded by at least 8 shopping carts. Not what I expected, the last thing I need is a dent in my car, too. Overall, crappy service... But at least my car doesn't shake once I hit 70MPH now. read more

This review is solely for the tire center. Had my front tires replaced, asked specifically if they could rotate them with the rear and they didn't. When I came to pick up the car, saw they didn't and asked why they hadn't. The mechanic responded with attitude, one of the rear wheel nuts are rounded off, unable to be removed and broke his tool. I only work on my car, I know I had none rounded wheel nuts, always use the correct tools and torque them to 100 ft lbs. Only reason why I had my tires replaced by someone else is because of the fact I don't have tire equipment. Once, I got home being concerned, found they had rounded a nut, simply broke it loose with my impact and found they had done it by being lazy and not putting the socket on it correctly rounding off the outer edge. This Costco always has interesting products and a clean shopping ambiance. However, my one complaint is that Costco's "bulk" products are getting a lot smaller quantity and prices are remaining the same. I have noticed this from the shampoo/conditioner to toilet paper. I pay money for a membership so I can get wholesale prices and save money and time by buying in bulk. As much as I have enjoyed my Costco membership over the years I will not be renewing if value does not improve. read more

I have shopped at this location for over 20 years. I use the optical department regularly and I know all the (super-friendly and amazing!) staff there very well. I am also friendly with the photography staff, the customer service staff and a lot of management. The store is clean, well organized and very busy. They rotate their endcaps and front displays regularly, so even multiple visits per week can feel like a new experience. I have an Executive membership (you get a rebate check at the end of the year that pays for next year's membership) and I always joke that Costco pays me to shop there. Wine, food, organic food, clothing, plants, furniture, kitchenware, bikes, computers,, you name it, our family has bought it over the years and we've always been satisfied with price and quality. Now this location has a gas station which is the cherry on top!! The only downside is the location--the intersection of 595 and University is a nightmare and there is no difference between a Sunday morning and a Friday afternoon as far as I'm concerned...you just have to grin and bear it! The shoppers at this Costco are not the nicest group...that is my only complaint. Sometimes I'm at the Costco in Wellington or Fort Myers and it has a different customer vibe...much nicer...but that is not the fault of the great staff at the Davie Costco! read more
