During our 1 week stay in Washington state, this was the best Costco we visited. This branch in Burlington is so much better than Bellingham. Compared to the Bellingham location, the gasoline station in Burlington rocks! Burlington has more pumps available for their customers. The lines move much quicker here, and the lines are shorter as well. Since it is a bit further away from the border, there is much less Canadians that fill up their tanks and gas cans here. One of my favorite Costco in the US. It's worth the drive to come here. Prices are cheaper and the selection of Organic products is by far the largest I have seen. They have change the signage to bright green for Organic products so you can't miss it. Exit 229 off I5 by Burlington. read more

I used to say this was a standard Costco. It isn't. This is the crappiest Costco I have been to (out of more than a dozen across 5 states). The customer service her is subpar, they treat their customers like crooks, unlike other locations. They also have policies that are at no other Costco. You want to go in the out door for food or customer service? At all other locations that is fine here they yell at you if you don't have your card. This is the only location I have been asked for my card again inside the store. This is the only Costco where the staff will tell you (true or not) the pharmacy is members only (which I am pretty sure violates federal law and certainly official Costco policy). The staff isn't up to par, the policies are unequally enforced, and the treatment of people like crooks seems to me to have a racial bias. Choose another Costco. read more

This Costco isn't as good an experience as the one in Puyallup, but we come here rather than the one in Bellingham to avoid other like-minded Canadians. As usual, the samples are plentiful and tasty. We stock up on milk, butter, cheese, bread, and other sundry items and toss them in our cooler for the drive back to Vancouver. The location seems to always be busy, but the lines move quickly. We fuel up here too, and the gas line-ups are always long. I'm sure I pissed off some people during our last visit since the pump kept rejecting my credit cards. Finally got one working and was in business. Nonetheless, my apologies to whomever I delayed by five minutes in already long lines. read more

Good location, good service, always stocked. No major complaints from shopping hear over a year now. Wish there was a location closer to Oak Harbor or Anacortes, but so it be. Great variety here and lower in-store traffic. Still kinda rough accessing the location from the Mt Vernon-Burlington drag (usually congested), so early is best. read more

OMG and I thought the Costco in Burnaby was a nightmare lol. I was sooo overwhelmed when I walked in here. My friend and I just meandered through and went directly to the beer aisle lol! I am sensing a theme on my grocery store trips in the USA lol. This one is much cleaner than the one in Burnaby and the gas prices were awesome. It was about .72 a litre. Can you believe that? Surprisingly not crowded on a weekend afternoon. Parking was a breeze, aisles were very easy to navigate, and the checkout lines were basically nonexistent. Samples were also very easy to grab compared to more crowded locations. It doesn't seem as large as the Bellingham location, and it also doesn't seem to carry as diverse a selection as the Bellingham location, probably because it's further from Canada. Still, this seems like a convenient location to pick up staples or fill up your gas tank. It's right next to the freeway, and sales tax is 8.5% here. read more

This Costco in Burlington, WA is the one to which I usually go. It is slowly starting to incorporate more organic and natural foods, so we are slowly starting to shop here more frequently. I am hoping for an organic powdered sugar soon. I really love the samples of products throughout the store. I can nibble on so many varieties of things here! During St. Patrick's Day time, they had large chunks of Irish Cheddar and Sausages to try. Yummy! I appreciate the cheap gas and often plan our trips to and from the Island around Costco's gas station hours. ps. I would like smaller sizes of men's hiking socks this winter season, please. My husband and I like to visit Costco's in different towns as they have different things sometimes. Idk, we're dorks. Anyway, this was a pretty good one. They had my size in clothes, which is sometimes a problem in other stores. ? When we first arrived the lines were soooo long (it was midday on a Tuesday afternoon), we almost left. But by the time we shopped the lines had gone down considerably. Glad we stayed and shopped it out. We of course got more things than we needed. I'm happy to see the have grain-free cat food now (before they only had grain-free dog food, or maybe that was just at our Costco in Woodinville). Overall, pretty standard. Nothing stood out good or bad. Glad we stopped in and got what we needed. read more

I came here today to get my car tires pumped up and the first young man I encountered was not very nice and wouldn't add nitrogen gas to my tire because apparently "it's not good to mix them." But that's not true at all because you absolutely can mix them. It doesn't matter. We went and got gas, and came back and spoke to the supervisor who was incredibly nice and was happy to help us. He didn't say it's bad to mix the two and was attentive to our needs. He also asked us who previously "helped" us and said he would talk to him. Worst Costco on the planet. They never have any samples. I have asked about this numerous times and they always tell me I come at the wrong time. Well today at noon on a Saturday two samples out. Also my wife is constantly hounded about changing our membership from regular to executive. They have never once asked me for this service. Why are they only hounding my wife? This over $11000. Costco will do nothing to help me. Now I see why people were upset when they switched from American Express to this horrible company. This Costco isn't as much of a madhouse as every other Costco I've been to. While somewhat surprising, that's certainly a relief--I suspect the Costco locations in Marysville and Bellingham get the larger crowds. I was able to swing by this Costco on my way home to Seattle from a hike. At 5 PM on a Sunday, I was in and out in under 30 minutes. Selection is pretty much the same as what I get in Seattle, and gas was a fair bit cheaper. read more

Our daughter's laptop had a issue that could not be resolved in the nearly 2 hours Costco Concierge worked on it. Some things are simply not going to be fixed, even by experts... I went into our local store in Burlington and the store manager (Dave) listened to the scenario we experienced - he offered to buy the computer back so we can get a working unit for our daughter to take back with her to college. Dave was personable - he noted that we were new to town and was empathetic to our daughter's needs. I noticed he has been a team member since 1984...They have a good one in him. The Costco here is great. It is a slight nightmare to park at times just because you usually have to drive around a little bit, but in the grand scope of things, it is really not that bad. The staff is always friendly from the door greeter to the receipt checker. The quality of the products in Costco are excellent - I rarely have any problems with anything I buy there. If I did, their warranty policy covers it, and that is nice peace of mind. Usually, you can be in and out of Costco here within 30 minutes, which is great considering its size and how busy it can get at checkout. I highly recommend membership in Costco and this Costco in particular. read more

I went to have a prescription filled at Burlington, WA costco. Not the first time there was a problem. Dropped off prescription and went over everything with tech. I would pay cash, don't run through insurance. The next day, in the afternoon, half an hour wait for rx pick up, only to have lady with a blank look muttering I have to check on this. She came back and told me to go shop and come back for my rx. So, I shopped, and returned to pharmacy. She directed me to sit and wait -- it was being processed. Another 5 minutes and pharmacy cashier received a note from the rx room, saying too soon for coverage by my rx carrier. I said, I know; I said the day before I would pay cash. (because I am moving, and address complications, my doctor provided a separate rx for me to take to costco to fill in the interim. So, after 2 trips to costco pharmacy, reviewing information 2 times, and waiting 45 minutes plus, I asked for the pharmacy manager. There was no pharmacy manager working (this is a SATURDAY) I walked away saying I had no more time to wait. At checkstand, they were so understanding and found me the store manager, who walked over to the pharmacy and brought my prescription. That took another 10 minutes, but I was so grateful to finally have my prescription, as I was completely out. Bad pharmacy. Not run like a business and very unhelpful. one hand doesn't know what the other is doing. Attitudes affect work performance. read more

Love this Costco location. There are large parking stalls and although the store is always busy, I can find a spot (although it might be a little walk). Coming from Jacksonville, I missed the Polish hot dogs...but they have them here!!!!! For 1.50 there is no better deal. Also has a large selection of items and samples are plentiful. Are you kidding me? We LOVE our Costco! We would marry it, if we could. Kids all grown, so, just me and my hubs at home. You'd think we could live on LESS than when the kids were home, but, nope. We LOVE rib-eye way too much. and Tri-tip. and BUTTER. Costco has Kerri-Gold Butter. it's the only thing I love more than chocolate. We are on low carb / high fat diet, Paleo/Atkins/Keto so, no bread in the house. No cereal, we don't drink milk, not that I'm against milk, we just don't drink it. No bagels, no pastries. We love BACON and MEAT. And BUTTER. I love the movie section. DVD sets are my weakness. Oh my. And gifts for the grandkids. Super-duper gifts. Socks, blankies, toys, clothes, wine. OK, wine is for me. Speaking of booze, the BEST DEAL in the land is the Golden Margarita mix. In a big bottle for $7.99. Wow that will get you a buzz faster than shots at the casino! (Don't drink & drive.) A great bargain for sure. We love all the frozen fish. And fresh fish. All the meat. The package of prosciutto. The Cheese. Oh, the Tillamook cheese! Yes! Coconut oil - the best cool thing ever. COFFEE, we buy a bag and grind it one pot at a time. Cheese, deli meats, frozen bags of veggie. Oh, and FRESH veggie - we like the massive bags of broccoli and romaine lettuce. And the little peppers, oh yum. So, butter, bacon, coconut oil, coffee, tubs of sour cream, meats, fish, PJs for the grand baby, shoes, socks, vitamins, ibuprofen, Kirkland brand is fine. Oh, and Kirkland brand Olive oil is rated one of the BEST in the country! Tape, I buy the big thing of rolls, when on sale, I buy 12 packages, to make it to the time it's on sale. And, once in a while we throw a kayak or paddle boat in the cart. And our bedroom furniture we bought there. And our big ass TV. And my camera. Snack bar, love the pizza slice, the Polish Dogs, what a DEAL!! The ice mocha, mmmm. Let's talk about the Roasted Rotisserie whole chicken - for FIVE BUCKS! You can't BUY a chicken for 5 bucks and then cook it. It's amazing. We get a few meals out of that chicken, and then make bone broth and soup. And, it's gluten free. Yup, we love Costco! read more

Love this Costco! I have never had an issue with anything in this store with anything or anyone. I've been a Costco shopper for about 10 years now and do not have one complaint. My returns have always been handled very well, check out has always been great, I have also ordered quite a few cakes for my children and they've always been perfect. I love Costco! The prices can not be beat, the quality is top of the line, and the return policy is outstanding! This store can get very busy on the weekends, so during the week is a better time to try and go. I usually try to go closer to closing time and it's substantially smaller of a line at checkout. The Costco gas is also very reasonably priced. The only thing I wish they would change is that the gas be available outside of business hours. This would help cut down the business at the gas pumps. read more

Normally everything goes smoothly at this costco and everyone is super friendly but last two visits a front end helper "Jenn" has been so rude. First time I was waiting in line when a new checkstand opened. She came forward looked right at me waiting in line at the stand next to hers and grabbed a customer that had just walked up. I had been waiting awhile as they were busy. I shook it off as accidental until the next time I was in. She was the helper and I had two transactions. Every other single time I have been in there the helper has unloaded my cart while I did the other transaction or else would come and take over unloading my cart onto the belt. Not Jenn! She stood there motionless just standing and staring straight ahead. Then as I was going to grab the cart she rudely ordered back behind the plexiglass without looking at me. No please or anything. She was so cold and dripping with hate. The look on her face! Don't know if she's like this to everyone or just doesn't like the color of my skin. I do know I will be spending more time at wal-mart until she is gone. read more

I L-O-V-E Costco!! Windy & rainy today. Shopping for a few things. Came out to load my stuff into the car. Miranda was out in the wind and rain, gathering carts. She saw that I was almost done loading and waited for me to finish. As I was putting my 1.75 L, $65 bottle of bourbon into my car, the wind blew my door into my arm, and I was looking at glass & bourbon on the pavement. Miranda took my cart, told me to go into the membership desk, and she would sweep up the glass. I went inside. Miranda followed me in and had Ashley take my receipt & get me a new bottle. No charge! And, after I was ushered through the exit line, the glass around my car was all swept up. I L-O-V-E Costco! read more

So I was checking out on a sunday and asked a cashier if she could use A role of change. She laughed and rudely told me they didn't take change. Thats ok I clearly asked IF she could use some. Having not gone to a Costco in two years, I was unaware that they didn't except it anymore. So that was fine up until she very rudely waited till I'm pulling out money to inform me, that I needed to go to a bank. I reminded her that it was Sunday, and that I asked and said IF she needed it. At this point her boxer who wouldn't even looked at her, walked away. Then I reminded her I was just trying to pay. As a cashier and a customer service agent I am discussed by her behavior. A woman in her 40's should know how to react to a very simple question, and not act like the customer asked for her blood. I have always had a very bad shopping experience at this store. The only good employees I've had experience with are the samplers, and bakery. I will not be going to this costco for a while. read more
