Shorty after I secured his Mission Bay rental through VRBO, I tested positive for Covid. To be respectful, I immediately notified them that I had tested positive. They went back and forth saying I could stay there and then I couldn't, etc. Finally they said out of respect for all other guests (I guess the units are close to each other) and their cleaning crew, they would not allow me to use the unit. I was respectful of their choice, but he also said that he would not refund my money. He kept saying they have a strict cancellation policy. I kept saying, he is cancelling on me. That he can't refuse to allow me to stay there AND refused to refund my money. How could you possibly tell someone I am not allowing you to stay at my rental, yet I am charging you for it. I was not cancelling, he was cancelling on me and kept telling me about his cancellation policy. Can people really be that dumb?? I would look at other places to rent and completely avoid this company. Also reading the other review, I feel so bad for the poor guys that lost 8K at Josh's Mission Bay rental unit..... They are an unethical money hungry bunch.
