Small little restaurant in a strip mall area. Very good ceviche (sweet potato overcooked though...but no issue). Chaufa really good and chicken has good flavor. The portions are very nice...easily shared between two read more

Good food. Good Service. Little pricey. The ambience is okay. I would recommend to order out, since the service charge is mandatory.

Heck YES! THE PLACE: Located in a Palm Springs shopping center, parking is vast and free. Inside, the restaurant is small, but cozy - almost as if you were in someones' home. All was clean. THE FOOD: I was a bit disappointed to learn they do not have an entree with huancaina sauce - BUT, they do have delicious, fresh and crispy fried yuca with the sauce as an app 5/5. We also ordered ceviche which was generously portioned 5/5. My husband ordered the tallarin verde with chicken 5/5 and I fried fish that was so fresh and came with 2 sides (I selected a juicy salad with perfect rice). THE SERVICE: Fantastic! read more

Service is great the food authentic Peruvian and outstanding. And the price is right. I had the pink sauce shrimp cocktail and the pescado a lo macho. WOW! And desert fabuloso worth the drive from anywhere around town! read more

They serve a very weak Arroz chaufa, it's just rice with a very little amount of steak and those little green onions. Service wasn't the best, waitress gets upset easily when you ask questions. I asked for an empty plate and the waitress completed forgot about our table. No refills on water. Parking lot was empty at 7:30-8pm on a Saturday. Won't come back and won't recommend this place. read more

My kids and I love the pollo saltado and lomo saltado. It always has a lot of flavor and never disappoints. (The fries go under the juicy meat, so they will be a super soggy, delicious treat. If you prefer them in the side, tell them.) Service is always great. Try their hot sauce. read more

My favorite plate: fry snappers, tostones and pair with a chilly beer. They do excellent!

If you are looking for authentic Peruvian food, this is the place to go. I have tried most of the dishes on their menu and they never disappoint. Ceviche from this location is very fresh and flavorful, it is one of my top picks. Recently the restaurant has started offering Mexican cuisine and it is by far one of my top. Definitely need to check the Mexican menu. All offerings are delicious and hardy. I recommend trying the chicken nachos, any of the tacos (our favorite is the Birria), but all the tacos are equally delicious, and DO NOT FORGET TO CHECK OUT THE FRIED ICE CREAM! By far the best fried ice cream anywhere. It is a must try. read more

Great local Peruvian option. They have been around since I was in high school and I'm in my late 30's. Pretty consistent with their food quality. Servings. Flavors. And food options. Great ceviche. Friendly staff. I've seen the son and father serving us for over 16 years. read more

Absolutely love their chicken and shrimp tacos also their chicken saltado is great! Love their service, they're super fast and nice. The ambiance is your typical local Hispanic restaurant, don't expect much. They do deliver locally! I always find myself going back read more

Service is very good but the food is flavorless. We've coming to costa peruana for 21 years and honestly the food was amazing. This new owners must first learn how to cook Peruvian food. They don't even have rocoto what no rocoto on a Peruvian restaurant? According to the waitress it was because of the pandemic? Really??? They even sell ricotta in Publix. Wow no suspiro limeño? This restaurant is not authentic Peruvian anymore. Food is not very good they do serve good portions but not good taste. Lomo saltado is made with a very thing meat which is not the correct cut. read more

Good for weekend days , and a quick food option when I don't have time to cook, nice chaufa

Service: the server was polite, but approached us to start asking for drinks as soon as out butts hit the chair. We didn't even have a second to look at the menu. As for the food: We got shrimp and lomo saltado with white rice and fries. The fries were at the very bottom of the plate, soaked in the salsa. Overall, I guess it could be much worse, but this isn't a 4 start place. Especially when you look at the prices. We paid around $80 for 3 plates and appetizers. read more

This has become our new go to Peruvian takeout/delivery spot. The food is delicious, with pretty good portions. Our stable is the seafood ceviche which is an excellent portion for the size. Next, is the lomo saltado. The flavor is great, I wish it would have just a bit more steak to carry over into leftovers with the rice which is quite a bit. Our last order included the seafood yellow rice which even had pieces of octopus. My husband and I really like the food from here and order it about one to two times a month. Last night, I decided to try their tres leche and we were pretty underwhelmed. The cake was not moist and the taste was not quite right. They need to up their game in the dessert department but otherwise this is a solid choice nearby to satisfy your Peruvian food cravings. read more

Long term customer since prior owner. Today, I Received 2 wrong orders (one of which was steak instead of chicken). That was not the issue. The biggest problem was the terrible customer service & rude communication from the server, Maria. She continued disputing over the phone on chicken versus steak (my word versus hers) & not willing to accommodate the mistake or apologize. She hung up on me and walked to me next door (where I was getting my hair done). She confronted me in front of the private business -embarrassed me in front of all the customers! With attitude, she took the steak meal from my daughter and brought back a chicken meal. I refused to continue this ridiculous show in front everyone, threw away my food (2nd wrong order) and asked her to leave the private facility. Maria is an unfortunate addition to Costa Peruana and is lowering the quality of the restaurant. It's unfortunate. read more

I ordered the lomo saltado with tacu tacu, sweet plantains and fish ceviche for take out. Since my husband picked it up, i wasn't able to check the order at the restaurant. So when he got home and i looked at it, i was so disgusted! The tacu tacu was completely burnt making it inedible. I had to throw it away. The Lomo saltado was super dry and it looked like the wrong type of meat that what i am use to at other places. The ceviche was mushy, which only means the fish was old! Overall one of the worst experiences i have ever had!!! How can they serve this????? read more

A truly hidden gem! Lots of parking, great service, quick food served and modest pricing. Most of their dishes are seafood based. Had their traditional pisco drink along with a lomo saltado and pescado sudado. So delicious. Topped it off with their barbarua dessert which puts a tres leches to shame. Can't describe it so yo gotta try it! Give it a shot you won't be disappointed. This is our first time and we'll be returning. read more
