This groovy taco place is worth a visit. Sitting on the hillside this tiny place has a surprisingly nice view and great tacos. The service is exceptional. Our server (Ilya?) was genuinely friendly and attentive. So far everyone here seems to be very nice. You may wonder why you would get Taco in PR but the town is full of international food from Thai to Mexican to Korean.

What a great little gem tucked away in Powell River! The vibe here is amazing and the staff are wonderful. I love that they've made dining domes and their outside functional with cozy seating and a fire place for the Fall/Winter months. The restaurant inside is very small but adds to the charm overall. Kind of feels like you've just walked into someone's house. The servers were lovely and fun to chat with asking us where we're from etc what our plans are and even gave suggestions on what to do! We ordered margaritas and they were really tasty! Loved that they weren't just packed with ice like many places do. We got the fried poblano peppers to start which were sooo tasty, the coating was thick and crunchy which actually worked really nicely with the aioli they drizzled on top. For mains we got the fish tacos and prawn tacos. The fish tacos are HUGE!!! I ended up cutting them in half and splitting with my boyfriend since they were so big. Delicious tho! We also really liked the seasoning on the prawns. If you ever find yourself in Powell River, this restaurant is a must try!

Whenever we drove past this place there were lineups to get it. Seems to be a very popular place to eat. We had lunch here and managed to get a table that overlooked the street and sea view. Our server was so friendly and helpful around where to visit, I wish I remembered her name. Really nice vibe and the food was very good. We had the fish tacos and the Maverick. Both were filling and very tasty.

I love costa del sol! I've eaten here several times over the years. Beautiful setting, tasty food, delicious drinks, vegetarian/vegan options, and friendly staff.

The Pozole is a must have at Costa Del Sol - Awesome!

Great food! Fantastic, friendly service. Maverick taco and the Yam taco (surprisingly for a non-veggie type person) were our faves.

OK food, mediocre drinks…read more We had the birria quesadilla and the al pastor burrito. The meats were cooked fine and the flavour was good but not memorable or outstanding. The burrito was mostly rice. For drinks we had the ginger lime margarita, which could have used just a touch more sugar - I usually prefer a less sweet drink, but this was quite sour; and the mango jalapeño margarita which was basically a mango flavoured slushy, which was came as a surprise because I had asked for it not to be blended. Ambiance is casual with fun decor. Service was friendly. All in all an okay place but probably will try another place instead next time!

I went to two Mexican restaurants in Powell River and neither of them had this. No big deal.... I didn't go there looking for free snacks and I was MORE than happy with the food we got. Two of us went for lunch and got an order of chicken tacos (with no cilantro), and chorizo chimichanga. We were planning on getting some various margaritas, until we found out that their feature flavour was blackberry! So we got two of those instead. The drinks were really good! I wish they had a salt rim instead of sugar - but it was still great. The food was super good - very flavourable. Service was fast and friendly and everyone seemed happy to be there. Would happily go back!

Pros:…read more - EV charging station right out front - Ample amount of parking - Enchiladas were good - Comfortable seating Mid: - The chicken soup was only okay compared to other places we've been to - Prices were average. Meh: - There was a misunderstanding between us and the server. We had wanted 2 soups and 2 enchiladas, but he misunderstood it to be 1 soup and 3 enchiladas. Mistakes happen, I completely understand, but when we told the server he was trying to blame us and stated that we had ordered 3 enchiladas. There were 4 of us and we thought it was pretty clear it was 2 and 2. Given some time, he huffed and corrected the order. - After we paid, I decided to look at the bill and realized we were charged the completely wrong bill. When I went to tell the server he said, "no it's the right one", I repeated it wasn't. He said "yes, 2 soup and 2 enchiladas." And I finally said "but this says 2 burgers". Then he finally caught on and we finally paid our correct bill. It was a lot of unnecessary back and forth.

It's bright inside with lots of colourful murals. I ordered coffee, it was nice and strong, with milk arriving in a little skull pot! I decided to have a cod burrito, which I think would've been fine with a regular salsa but I ordered mole. That type of sauce is a little bit too overpowering for fish so I would recommend not to do that. It wasn't the fault of the restaurant though. The burrito was very good, filling and used cabbage with rice. The servers are all very friendly and helpful. I would visit this place again and maybe try it tostada or some of their other offerings.
