Holy yes. This tiny little Mexican spot right on Port Alberni's harbourfront was such a treat. All bright colours and tile mosaics and stocked with many many hot sauce options (fun fact: they keep the really hot stuff for the die-hards behind the counter), this place just made me happy. We three popped in for a quick lunch on a Saturday afternoon and all left very satisfied. Sizable portions, super quick service, and so so tasty. Plus, they can make most things vegan and/or gluten free if you ask. I had the veggie enchiladas and am still fantasizing about them. My lunch pals had the fish tacos and one of the burritos (I think it was chicken) respectively. I think the burrito was less of a hit than the tacos and the enchiladas, but still good. I also had an agua de jamaica (iced hibiscus tea) that brought me right back to the beach in Mexico. read more

Nice little tucked away place. Service was polite but not friendly. Food was excellent. Portions were good, except for the enchilada which was massive. I would return. read more

My wife and I ate here a few weeks ago. It is a charming little place with GREAT food. Tucked away in the harbor, it is so totally worthwhile to seek out for authentic Mexican food. We had some incredible home-made soup and a burrito - bring along your appetite as the burrito is huge (and delicious). read more

Came here with a big group (including kids) on the way to Tofino. Unfortunately it was a rushed meal, so didn't take any pics. But the meal really hit the spot. It was exactly what we were looking for during a quick stopover; super quick, convenient, friendly - counter service, nice outdoor seating and a bonus great ocean views. Most of us got taco's which were really tasty. We also shared the nacho's, some empanadas and I got the tortilla soup. We all really enjoyed everything, including the kids. Highly recommend it here, if you are looking for a quick bite while on the road. read more

Had 3 tacos. Fish, veggie and Avocado all amazing taste and fresh. They have some nice beer on draft. Highly recommend. read more

The service is prompt and the food is delicious! So if you're looking for Mexican food this is the spot to go to in Port Alberni. The prices are not unreasonable for the portions of food provided! This has a small family business feel and the employees are all SUPER friendly... The Dragon Bowls are literally the best things around!!!! Oh and the volcano chocolate cookies hahha.. read more

Yum! Flavourful, fresh tacos and cold craft beer. Sit on the patio for people watching and fresh air. Lots of hot sauces to choose from. I'm so glad that I ventured off of the strip when driving through Port Alberni to get nice quality food that is prepared with thoughtful attention. One thing to note: I should have ordered a third taco as two wasn't quite enough for a meal. read more

Matt the Owner including his Crew are friendly, generous and informative. The power went out in town this one time. Matt showed up in our shop and loaded us up with taco's and drinks. Just the other day, I called for lunch, my cravings were fresh and crunchy. He brought me my favourites Yam Tempura Taco, which are only served on Wednesdays (I called on a Thursday) Now that All Mex'd Up is deliverying. I can call anytime and anywhere read more

Finally, a great Mexican food joint that far exceeded my expectations of what a Mexican restaurant should resemble, 2,000 miles away from the nearest Mexican city. Will definitely spread the word and frequent this amazing place... UPDATE; The first three times my wife and I went, AMAZING..!! The last three times, not so... it seems like a certain someone is not making the burritos anymore... bland meat, bland beans and the lack of their cilantro sauce that enhanced their flavor... Porto Taco is right up the street and is our number one now... I hope that burrito maker from about 3 months ago was there making burritos... JS... read more

I've mentioned before that I've never been to Mexico, so when it comes to judging Mexican food I can't vouch for its authenticity. However, this little business in a tiny concession at the end of a row of small stalls in Port Alberni's dockside market place is worth a visit if you're passing through. It is also right next to a small park with a playground so if you've got kids and you're on your way to the West Coast and Tofino, it's certainly worth the detour off the main highway. Their menu is short and simple - tacos, burritos or quesadillas with chicken, bison and other accompaniments - but the best thing is the fillings are all fresh and it's very reasonably priced. The salsa is freshly made on the premises and they do a mean cilantro dressing with their salads. They also do a couple of simple options like cheese-only quesadillas or cheese tacos for kids lacking a spirit of gastronomic adventure. We went their twice for lunch during our recent holiday. The first time we'd gone into town for the farmers' market but the second time we made a special side-trip when passing through. read more

B had a chicken burrito (chipotle sauce, beans) and he liked it .I had vegan tacos but sadly, they were NOT GOOD! They said it would be "grilled veggies, yams, refried beans, fresh pico de gallo" but what I got was a bunch of sweet potato chunks (or yams), a few paltry shreds of cabbage, and a side of oniony- not fresh tasting- salsa. (see picture). I NEVER throw away food and I threw this away after two bites! read more

Delicious! I rolled in with a group of 12 and they crushed it. Nachos, burritos, tacos were all delicious and Nick and the other guy were friendly and got the food out pretty quickly. I had the rock fish taco and a special albacore tuna taco. Both were great. Highly recommended read more

Thanks for the lovely birthday dinner and conversation tonight. The food was excellent, especially the elote and churros. A lucky find for us, and we would totally recommend it and come again!! read more

it was pretty good, I have to admit.. but here's the thing, Cheese is so expensive in Canada that when they say the burrito/taco/nachos has cheese on it, it's just a speckle... nothing is CHEESY GOODNESS in Canada. That said, it was good, the ambiance was fun and festive, we had a nice table by the big, open garage door that gave us a water front view of the raging forest fire on the other side of the canal. BIG selection of hot sauces, that was nice.. Rice, beans and chips are all extra$. Order your own from the desk. Nothing fancy, but didn't expect that in Port Alberni, friendly and efficient. Worth a visit if you're hankering for some Mex in Canada. read more

Very Authentic and incredible Value. One of my "go to" places in Port on a regular basis. Its the real thing and the value is super. A burrito is huge, too big for me but husband loves them. I go for the corn tortilla. There are often specials which are worth trying. Wish they had longer hours.. read more

We're from down south in Colorado and loved the enchiladas verde. Our son was able to get a half order of nachos and enjoyed those. We did not expect to get quality food at a reasonable price right off the pier. The place is cute, too, and the staff was really friendly. read more

Well after good reviews I thought I'd try the place out. I had a pair of soft tacos for $6.95 ... a little light for the price. The taste was OK. I'd probably go back if I wanted something different from the usual daft food places in town. read more

Cute spot. Good food. Fun to see the view and watch as eagles soar before grabbing a yummy lunch.
