Friends were in from Denman so we decided to try out this spot. It was fairly full when I got there ahead of my friends so I sat outside because it was absolutely beautiful out. I had met Trina who works there a couple of weeks before so I asked her for recommendations. She said since it was my first time I should try the tacos. I asked which ones and she suggested tuna and chicken mole. The tuna was tasty but I LOVED the chicken mole. It also has some crispy fried cheese on top. So yummy! My friends had burritos that they loved and were as big as their heads - one of them took half home for dinner. Being new to Cumberland I don't know if this is valid but I found that after I added guac to both tacos, the price including tip was almost $19. I just had tap water to drink so I thought it was a bit high.

The food is incredible here! And the staff are so friendly, I highly recommend stopping here for some food! They're currently doing takeaway only and it's so good. Can't wait to come back!

Great atmosphere, wonderful music selection, and fast service. I had 3 tacos and they were amazing. Veggie, tuna and tofu. I think my favourite was actually the tofu taco. The combination of flavours was surprisingly good. Can't wait to try the burritos and quesadillas next time!

In a small hole-in-the-wall location on Cumberland BC's main drag, lives a hip yet unpretentious taco joint called Biblio Taco. So named because of its location the the Old Library building on Dunsmuir avenue, this place dishes out only a handful of Mexican inspired dishes. I, personally, had been looking forward to trying this place out ever since I heard of it. Mexican food is some of my favourite, so on Saturday Whiskey and I, having no plans, whipped down to the small community of Cumberland for a short afternoon food adventure. Biblio Taco has a tiny storefront, and while not all that large inside, has an ample food preparation station set out in full sight taking nearly half the room. The small menu written on a chalk board near the ordering counter describes about a dozen items available. Tacos, burritos, tortillas, huevos rancheros, quesadillas and a few others Mexican treats. The decor is only a hint of Mexican, it definitely feels of Cumberland, which has a style of all its own. Inside there is a narrow bar that seats a few people, and a larger table for groups. Out back of the place there is a small courtyard with a few thick tables and seating for maybe 20 more people. The yard was cozy, enclosed by trees, shady and fenced, we opted to eat out here on this very warm afternoon. I ordered a beef burrito. I think this classic is the test of a taco joint. If they can't get a beef burrito right, there is no use continuing on. I also decided on a lemon soda to wash it down with, although they are full licensed and have a nice variety of craft beers, sangria, caesars and margaritas, It was early and hot, and sparkling cold lemon sounded just right. Whiskey ordered a quesadilla and opted for a side of tortilla chips and guacamole while we waited on mains. The tortillas were some of the best I have ever had, very thin and ultra crispy without a hint of deep-fryer grease and seasoned to perfection. The guac was also very good. made with perfectly ripe avocados... read the complete review at: www.vagrantfoodies.blogspot.ca

Biblio Taco in Cumberland. I didn't get any pics of the food because we ate it so fast!

We tried a few tacos to share, the Chicken Mole, Pork, Veggie and smoked salmon. They were all delicious! We enjoyed the chicken and pork so much we ordered another round! Thanks for a great lunch.

Every time I visit Cumberland I always eat here. Their burritos and so are their breakfast tacos.

Pros:…read more - EV charging station right out front - Ample amount of parking - Enchiladas were good - Comfortable seating Mid: - The chicken soup was only okay compared to other places we've been to - Prices were average. Meh: - There was a misunderstanding between us and the server. We had wanted 2 soups and 2 enchiladas, but he misunderstood it to be 1 soup and 3 enchiladas. Mistakes happen, I completely understand, but when we told the server he was trying to blame us and stated that we had ordered 3 enchiladas. There were 4 of us and we thought it was pretty clear it was 2 and 2. Given some time, he huffed and corrected the order. - After we paid, I decided to look at the bill and realized we were charged the completely wrong bill. When I went to tell the server he said, "no it's the right one", I repeated it wasn't. He said "yes, 2 soup and 2 enchiladas." And I finally said "but this says 2 burgers". Then he finally caught on and we finally paid our correct bill. It was a lot of unnecessary back and forth.

It's bright inside with lots of colourful murals. I ordered coffee, it was nice and strong, with milk arriving in a little skull pot! I decided to have a cod burrito, which I think would've been fine with a regular salsa but I ordered mole. That type of sauce is a little bit too overpowering for fish so I would recommend not to do that. It wasn't the fault of the restaurant though. The burrito was very good, filling and used cabbage with rice. The servers are all very friendly and helpful. I would visit this place again and maybe try it tostada or some of their other offerings.
