There was a elderly woman waiting for her stylist to arrive at the salon. She waited 1hr. the stylist was a no show. Everything in this salon needs cleaning . There are things you should do to have the public comfortable in the setting you want us to pay for. If this salon closes tomorrow it would not be missed. The owner is reviewed as a good stylists but watch your wallet. It cost me $85.00 for 2 perms & I was sent out with damp hair. I'm still wondering where the style went, she tried to fluff my hair. Why am I paying for a style when I look like I just got out of the shower. NO CLASS.

Marie is as good as it gets when it comes to someone who knows how to cut hair and tailor it to each specific person and their needs/wants; she listens to the client and builds from there. The staff is always friendly, helpful and accommodating. I would also recommend Jerry Jones for any barbering needs. She mixed up two colors, and I asked her what the "dark" color was that she was using. She never showed me a swatch, or matched colors to my head, and she told me "I just mixed some colors together". Should have been RED FLAG right there. But I trusted her. When we were all done, my head was yellow, bright yellow! I was NOT HAPPY! She said she'd fix it for free, so I came back the following weekend to fix it. Her fix was just putting dark lowlights in. I told her to put a swatch against my head, I am normally a 6n, she used 7n as my "dark color" with blonde highlights - needless to say that wasn't the "dark" I was looking for. I now have yellow roots with dark low lights, and my hair feels SO horrible! It's like straw. I am SO NOT HAPPY with this experience. I hate is so bad!!! But my hair literally feels like straw so I don't dare dye the whole thing with 6n to start fresh. This is honestly the WORST hair dye experience I've ever had, and I paid salon prices for this! I've had better experience in high school with friends and a chunking kit... just saying.

A couple months ago we took a client who is autistic to Fantastic Sam's for a haircut, and she did…read morean awful job. Unfortunately, we did not catch her name at that time. Today we decided to take the same client back in for a haircut and chose a stylist online. I left a note saying we had a terrible experience last visit but want to give them another chance. I let them know ahead of time that the client was autistic and that he needed a haircut. Unfortunately, when we came in today it was the same stylist as last time. The other stylist was already cutting someone else's hair, and she was the only one available. W gave it another shot anyways... what a mistake that was. She left an entire chunk of hair by his right ear, and it is very uneven. I wish I could share a photo of how awful it looks. I called to speak with a manager but was told she is out of town. I gave my info and said why I was calling. The stylist (Tawny) then said "Oh, that was me" I expressed that I was not satisfied with what she did to his hair, and it needed to be fixed. She said she was sorry but being that he was autistic and kept turning his head it made her job difficult. We have taken this client here SEVERAL times in the past and every stylist was so great with him and did a fantastic job. Tawny states she has been doing hair for 40 years but with 2 bad haircuts I'm not so sure if this is true. You would think in 40 years, she would have had other clients come in with a disability...The least she could have done was ask the other stylist for help or offer for us to come back and fix the spots she missed. I would also like to add that we told her that the stylists use a clipper on him. Instead of her listening to us, she chose to use a scissors on his ENTIRE head. (For those of you that understand autism, it's very difficult to keep them sitting in a chair for a long period of time. Patience is very thin.) When I brought this up to her on the phone, she said no one mentioned anything about a clipper. (I was not going to argue with her at this point because in her eyes, she did no wrong and had an excuse for everything) She said she would be giving the message to her manager, I said thank you, I then heard her set the phone down and say something snotty to I'm assuming the other stylist and then hung up the phone. Nothing like being polite when hanging up. Very poor customer service. I can see why she had a full open schedule online when I went to book yesterday. Please save yourself the disappointment and go somewhere else or book with anyone but Tawny. I'm not so sure she will actually give the message to the manager so I will be calling back until I reach the manager. We should not be getting charged for this awful service.

I have been seeing her for 3 years and her cuts are always up to date and perfectly done. She is very experienced and goes out of her way to help you decide on a style or cut. Sara is very personable and makes you feel like you are part of her family. The studio is clean and inviting with lots of product to purchase. Sara is very knowledgeable about everything she has for sale and will tell you if a product is right for your hair. I highly recommend giving Adara Hair Studio a try.
