The repairman show up on time and diagnosed the problem very quickly (a thermistor was on the blink). Fortunately he had a replacement one in his truck and installed it. That corrected the problem. The repairman was very nice and explained what needed to be done and did it. He cleaned out the lint that had gotten into the dryer as well as cleaning up his work area.
