Hook, like, sinker... I am stuck on Red Swan…read more Now first off, I'm not a HUGE pizza eater. I generally find pizza greasy and heavy feeling so when a new joint came into town I wasn't overly excited despite hearing rave reviews on the local chat page. Finally I decided to give them a try and man was I blown away. They are not your typical cookie cutter pizza shop... nor do they serve typical toppings. Think spicy butter chicken, tikka, honey garlic chicken (our fave), cilantro chicken, butter paneer! Sure I miss a few of my regular toppings here but we keep coming back - almost weekly and my PICKY kids love it here! We often order the 3 pizza special (MTW only) or the lunchtime personal pizza and can of pop special. We've tried over a dozen pizzas here and the staple go to order for us is the picante with the pepperoni on top (not under the cheese) and the HONEY GARLIC CHICKEN (to die for). And their crust... oh em gee... light, warm, fluffy - soooo good! We usually order online and it's ready in 20-25 minutes! Fast, fresh, never greasy or heavy feeling! Two thumbs way up!

The pizza was not bad at all, just not that special. The service was fine although a little bit awkward speaking with the owner, as if he resented having to deal with customers himself maybe? No real ambiance to speak of, which to be fair is totally expected in a small place like this.

I ordered the donair pizza and it was the best donair pizza I've ever had. Not only were all the ingredients fresh, whoever put this pizza together did it with style as they added a little bit of artistic flair when the drizzled the sweet sauce on top. It was like getting latte art on my pizza so not only did my pizza taste better than most it looked a lot better as well. The service was also better than pretty much every pizza place I've ever been to. I ended up interacting with three different employees and all of them were smiling and genuinely happy to see me. It was the cherry-on-top of the whole experience. The only thing I wouldn't recommend would be the dine-in option. They literally only have two tables inside and being a sit-down restaurant really isn't their thing. But if take out pizza is what you're after, I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather go.

We definitely recommend this store and know you won't be disappointed.

November 1st will mark DJ's 1 year anniversary, and it's a great addition to St. Albert…read more I'm a little confused on the name though. Their website says "DJ's Lounge and Café", their facebook page is "DJ's Lounge and Pizzaria", and on their menus it is "DJ's Lounge and Pizzeria". No matter what you call it though, it's a good place to go. It's a smaller place. I would say 12 - 20 tables, though I didn't actually count them. On one side of the restaurant is tall tables and chairs, and on the other side is booths. But the booths are a little strange and hold 3 people comfortably... 4 if you don't mind hitting elbows. Now, onto the food. I attended a "cash mob" event, which was set up as a buffet, rather than order off the menu. Items presented to us were Hummus, pita chips, Fatoush salad, lasagna, and MULTIPLE pizzas. Although it was appreciated, I think they made waaaay too much food lol But honestly, everything was really good. A couple of reasons that I knocked a star off. The lasagna and pizza were both really tasty, BUT they were pretty greasy. Also, there is only one female and one male washroom... which just seems silly for a place that sells alcohol. But... the washrooms were clean, so that's good. The owner came out and talked with us for a bit. He explained his vision and why he loves his business. From what I can see on facebook, they seem to do a LOT of business with Skip the Dishes. So, check them out for delivery!

There are a…read morefew smaller booths and 2 tables that seat 2 if you want to eat in but it seems that most people are picking up. The wings we've had are decent sized, not the small wings you may get at other pizza places. The price is good too for the amount of wings, and they give you ranch dipping sauce too. I tried the ocean catch seafood pizza since I don't usually see that on the menu at a pizza place. There was shrimp, crab meat and scallops with mozza and sweet sauce. I found it was rich with the sweet sauce and was full after 2 slices. The next time I went, they told me I could substitute another sauce if I wanted. Next time I'll try another pizza with other toppings. The service has been friendly every time I've stopped in. Happy to support this local pizza, burger, and donair place!

This new pizza place has been open about 4 months now and we decided to give it a try. Mainly…read morebecause of the Sisig and Adobo pizza choices. We ordered the Sisig pizza, Jam's cheesy volcano pizza, honey garlic wings and calamari. All were very yummy! The pizzas are loaded with cheese, the crust was just right for the amount of toppings...not too thin or thick. Sisig is like grounded up pork and was tasty. This pizza was spicy as it had chopped fresh jalapeño peppers on it. The volcano pizza had mozzarella stuffed crust with onion pineapple and bacon toppings. These flavours were not a powerful combination but still very good. The wings were crispy and there were a few flavour choices. The calamari rings were huge, like onion rings! The batter was light and the calamari was not chewy. Give this new local business a try, especially during the pandemic! For dine in, I noticed there were 4 small tables for 2 people but most people would just bring their food home. The prices are good, nice variety on the menu, parking in front and great to see a few others picking up food too. And they offer delivery and are on Skip the Dishes!
