She was unable to adjust hearing aids correctly, then unable to restore prior settings. When discussing adjustments to the equalization settings in the hearing aid app, the audiologist asked me to explain what "flat" meant. Office was no longer able to offer phone support for the hearing aids, one of the primary reasons I had initially chosen that model of hearing aid for purchase. Audiologist that was evaluating my hearing and adjusting the instruments that I had purchased from the practice was unable to professionally or accurately do either. As she was unable to restore settings, I left the practice that day unable to hear as well as I could when I walked in.

They were aggressive AF with their reminders…read moreand despite having booked an appointment via ZocDoc AND me completing the online check-in, I was still harassed by the woman in the front, Sarika, for a copy of my insurance card. I know that's normal, but I'd already uploaded it twice and, therefore, didn't bring it. She was so rude and aggressive. She spoke to me in a rude tone and asked me to pay upfront - something that wasn't requested of other customers. I was 10 minutes late (absolutely my fault), but I called ahead of time to let them know. Because of the insurance card madness with Sarika, I wasn't even called back for the preliminary stuff for more than 25 minutes. When I tell you she was aggressive, I mean it. She: -yelled my first name from behind the glass - couldn't see her, so I walked up and stood there, trying to understand who was calling me and why. Eventually, she felt it necessary to finally address me. She said, "I need a copy of your insurance card." I informed her that I'd uploaded it twice and didn't have a hard copy. She asks for a picture to be emailed. Then, when that took too long, she asked to see a photo on my phone. She wouldn't even allow them to see me until "she had the number," which I could've read to her. -was condescending. When I informed her that I used ZocDoc, she told me the office didn't use ZocDoc, which is obviously not true. -she also, at one point, asked me to stand up and come to the desk because she couldn't hear me, despite the fact that she'd been yelling questions at me from behind the desk and glass for minutes. The doctor, Dr. Voigt, was quick but thorough. No frills but it is what it is.

They have two locations: one in Arlington, and one in Lorton. I made an appointment with Dr. Scott Lanford, and he was just pure AWESOMEness - he was very informative, intelligent, honest, and had a great sense of humor! This clinic offers a complimentary hearing assessment, so if you think you are hard of hearing or need to get your hearing checked out in general, check this place out! Making an appointment was a breeze - Ms. Laura, one of the receptionists, was so sweet and got all the information down. When it's time for your appointment, the doc asks you a few questions, then does a tone test in a sound-proof booth. It's kind of like playing a game with a beeper, so with different pitch of tones, when you hear it, you press the beeper. There are posters and cute stuffed animals to visually 'calm' you. Then, the doc goes over your results and his recommendations. Definitely a wonderful place where you can obtain lots of great information in regards to everything hearing-related; definitely check them out! :D +complimentary hearing test! +ask for Dr. Scott Lanford! :D +appointment making is easy! +parking around residential area
