Now that I live so far away, it would be handy to get a drive home while the car is being repaired or whatever, but the prices are probably better because that service is not included. I strongly recommend this company to anyone. They are really responsive to customer needs, and keep a close eye on how various components are doing (preventative maintenance.) They have never suggested doing any work on my car that was not necessary.

Ripped me off. Brought my car in to have the A/C diagnosed. They told me it would only be $150 to…read morediagnose, I did not agree to them doing any work on it without speaking to me first. They called me later that day to say they went ahead and fixed it by just refilling the freon that was empty and it would be $600. I picked it up and the A/C was blowing cold so I was like whatever, it works. 1-2 weeks later it stops working. They told me to bring it back in. Then they give me this whole story about how they put dye in the lines and can see its leaking massively from multiple areas and would be at least $1600 to fix. I asked what the diagnostic charge was for if they never diagnosed it, just filled it up? They just talked in circles and claimed they didnt have to dye at the time and couldn't have known it was leaking blah blah blah. Total BS. The first thing they would do is check the pressure of the hoses before filling with freon and that would show immediately that it was leaking and not going to hold the freon. They filled it anyway so they could charge me more money since I already told them I would not be spending big bucks to fix this car.

We started modestly - remember that Datsun 510?? - moved on to a gorgeous but ultra-temperamental high-end Volvo, Then we go† bitten mit der Kraut Kommitment and with Franz's encouragement have lived with and loved the best part of a dozen vintage BMW's and Benzes, frequently several at a time. Franz under the hood is a bit like Schnabel at the keyboard. Not always graceful, but, Gott Im Himmel, the results!! I have a suspicion that Franz doesn't suffer fools gladly around car ownership. I've had several acquaintances emerge shaking their heads. My sense is that Franz had decided that they really weren't up to being Benz or Bimmer owners and that he was not going to support this travesty. Most of the time I could see his point.
