The first time, they treated me on an IPL machine that targeted brown spots. I noticed the effects right away, with my freckles appearing darker before they eventually came off a week later. During my second appointment, they booked me with a dual IPL machine calibrated towards both reds and browns. This also worked well with my skin. Since I am of asian decent, I am of higher risk of side effects when IPL is not administered properly, so the staff was very careful and considerate. Pain wise, I would rate this treatment a 6/10. Not pleasant, but not traumatic either. Forewarning for those considering IPL to target redness and spider veins: while you might notice a decrease in redness, my aesthetician informed me that this effect is temporary! Eventually the veins will resurface :( Both appointments were quick and easy, and I am very satisfied with the results. side note-- this is definitely a side effect, but I also noticed that the hair on my upper lip was zapped away and never really grew back post-treatment. A nice bonus! But don't worry, they make sure to stay far away from your beautiful brows and hairline

My experience here was absolutely perfect, Angela is super knowledgeable and honest when it comes to her prices, products, and what she thinks would look best for you if you're not 100% sure on making a decision. The day before my appointment I was texted thorough instructions on how to reach her office, which was very helpful because navigating to it was quite challenging. There is a parking garage and also a few parking spots before the gated community area, but the spots are sparse. I recommend doing free street parking along the area, either the sidewalk in front of StudioPlex or the residential streets nearby and walking to the clinic, which will be through the walkway you see directly under the big StudioPlex sign. You have to walk quite a bit into the walkway, and eventually you'll see the clinic's sign out front. The interior of the clinic is clean and decorated nicely, with info pamphlets about the products being used and services offered. Through the entire process--consultation and procedure--Angela gave very helpful advice and I ended up adding on a botox treatment for my TMJ while also providing aesthetic results. I definitely would come again, you're shown immediate before and after pictures, and despite the differences the end result for me came out so natural and exactly what I was hoping for! Angela's also very generous about helping figure out pricing and pay, which I greatly appreciated!! I definitely will be coming back, battling in the race to book with her on the appointment schedule is 100% worth it for me!

I am always concerned about doctors that are not African American when it comes down to my skin care. I was diagnosed with Eczema last year and my allergies have been bringing on attacks lately. So after seeing 3 other doctor's in less than 7 days I ended up here. My first opinion is that this doctor is very knowledgeable. His business is doing well and I think part of that proof is the feeling that my time with the doctor was somewhat rushed. However, my other Dermatologist flirts with me, so I'd rather have this issue. :) Although he was somewhat quick, he was very thorough and did what I thought the other 3 doctors should have done. Take a freaking Biopsy and tell me what the fudge is wrong with me. He also asked me if I had any questions or concerns that I had. I appreciate that but again he seemed to be very busy and I had an early morning appointment. I then spoke with a person from the Spa about what I should do about skin care. Luckily for me she told me my skin is very healthy and that I should use a Sun Screen and one product that will lighten up a few blemishes on my face. I was very pleased to hear that I don't need chemical peels or surgery! The prices at the Spa are no joke up in this mug! WOW! I tried to get my boyfriend to get me a couple of treatments (Massage, Mani/Pedi or Facial), but my BF said that if they didn't come with a Happy Ending then he wasn't paying that kind of money for me to have a 30 minute massage. :( LOL!
