Service was great, this is a fun spot with live pianist on Saturday night. Can't wait to visit again Food: Something unique about this place is the food you order comes out as it is finished. - Frites with ailoi were a table pleaser. - Asparagus: we nicely cooked, not to soft, not too hard- I really l loved the pickled egg that came with it as well. - Pork chop: came with the most amazing apple butter/ Sriracha type sauce. This was so good I was recommend and probably would order again. Drinks: - Supper club old fashioned: REALLY smooth. I'm not a typical drinker and this really hit for me. - Expresso Martini: it was good, nothing out out this world but a staple that they did well.

We had an amazing time at Corvino for our anniversary & valentine. The server was great to offer something special drinks without alcohol, and noticed the details that I didn't order the alcoholic drinks, great attention to details of the customers. The food are just right for two people and have great taste and different choices. The dessert was so good.

I went to Corvino to meet up with a friend for apps, drinks, and dinner and it was to die for. I've been to Corvino before but it had been some time so I was excited to get back and try it again. Every dish was phenomenal. We started with drinks, I had the Flamboyance and she had the Touch & Go. Both were incredible - the most perfect refreshing cocktails to start the evening. We then grabbed a few apps: having the Seaweed Donuts, Raw Oysters, and Chicken Fried Snails. For dinner we then had the Shrimp Rice and Black Cod. We devoured it all and it's so nice that they make everything easy to share! Our waiter was incredible - he checked in regularly but also gave us time to chit chat and enjoy each bite. He was incredibly mindful of my dietary restrictions and I couldn't be more grateful! As it was a Monday, it was a quieter evening in the restaurant but it was perfect so we didn't feel rushed as we grabbed over delicious food! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the perfect spot for an evening catching up with friends or a date night! Highly recommend!

Corvino's been open for a while and I hadn't been other than ordering a Ravenous burger during their 2020 popup. I was excited when my wife was given a gift card so I had an excuse to come by. The whole experience was very nice: the music, service, food and drinks. We ordered about six plates to share between the two of us, and that might've been too much. We ended up being too full for dessert. The pictures in this review were my favorite items of the visit.

I finally came here during their last month of service after multiple recommendations. I had previously gone to their burger spot (ravenous) before it closed inside parlor and loved their burgers. When I came to corvino, the vibe is dramatically different than ravenous. The restaurant is lit with intention to set the mood as a supper club. The staff were quick to seat us to song bird (their concept next door) while we waited for our table. I didn't get much interaction with the wait staff at song bird as they looked very short staffed busy taking orders and making drinks. I got the Julius to drink at songbird and was not the biggest fan of the flavors it brought. We got our table about 30 minutes after our reservation time and had a much better experience with the wait staff once we were seated inside the restaurant. Everything is shareable, so we went ahead and started with the sweet potato, hasbrowns and sour dough loaf with cultured butter. I kept hearing the rave about the fried chicken so I went ahead and got that along with our waitress's recommendation of the rigatoni bolognese. Both dishes were phenomenal and the bolognese was perfectly spiced with the meat. Honorable mentions go to the sweet potatoes w/harissa as that was my favorite dish I got that night! It was perfectly balanced and offered a sweet and spicy contrast. Overall, a great experience at corvino. I can't wait to see what they do next!

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Corvino, and it was the perfect choice for our special night. This was actually our second time dining here for our anniversary, and the experience was just as memorable as the first. The atmosphere is always so elegant and intimate. We started our meal with the caviar and seaweed puffs, a unique and delicious combination that set a fantastic tone for the evening. We then shared the crispy ribs, which were a definite highlight--perfectly cooked with an incredible, savory flavor. The pork chop was another showstopper; it was juicy, tender, and had a wonderful, crispy crust that I'm still thinking about. To top it all off, dessert was a fantastic way to end the night. We enjoyed a deconstructed apple pie, which was a creative and absolutely delicious twist on a classic. The staff also surprised us with something special for our anniversary, which was a lovely and thoughtful touch that made our celebration even more memorable. The service was impeccable throughout the entire meal, and the attention to detail is what truly sets Corvino apart. If you're looking for an amazing dining experience in Kansas City for a special occasion (or any occasion!), I can't recommend Corvino enough.

Just fantastic! I held a small dinner party here and we had the semi private room in the back. Genny was the coordinator and she was so easy to work with. Responded right away and made it such an easy process. Eddie and his team took care of us for the evening and the food and drinks were perfect! We had three shared appetizers, three main dishes and dessert. For me, the fried chicken was the BEST fried chicken I've had. So juicy, so crispy, just heavenly. I'm only in Kansas City a few times a year and I swear on everything, I'll be eating here each time.

Food was AMAZING. Everything was super flavorful, fun to share with table and try lots of things. They say 3-4 items per person to make sure you're full, but honestly 2-3 per person would probably be just fine. Service was good at beginning of dinner, but decreased as we stayed. Kept forgetting to bring back utensils that they cleared and also forgot to bring a food item (that the server recommended). Anyways, I'll give benefit of doubt since it was busy! Ambiance was great. Good for celebrations. We will be back.

Overall good restaurant, menu seems a bit underwhelming but it's very focused on flavors which are fantastic. The shells was my favorite dish by far. It is very loud inside with the band playing just an fyi. Service was alright took like 30 minutes for our server to come back after giving us our food.

I really am between 3 and 4 stars here, I really don't get the hype about this place besides the experience itself. The inside is gorgeous and there was a live piano player the whole time we ate which was cool. Our waitress was very friendly. To drink, I did the In Bloom which was very good. We started with the fried green beans which were alright, the sauce that came with it was amazing. Next we did the sourdough which was good. We both settled for the burgers because I've heard people rave about them but they were just fine, nothing special. Honestly I thought they were a little too charred. I did an affogato for dessert which was good. It's a nice place but in my opinion, a little overrated

I dined at Corvino on a recommendation to try the Seaweed Donuts with Trout Roe & Cream. It was unlike anything I've ever tasted, much like everything else I ordered at Corvino. The seaweed donut had an umami taste that combined so well with the creaminess of the cream with trout roe. Delicious. Another dish I recommend is the Rock Shrimp Toast. It's an English muffin topped with whipped chicken liver, mustard seed, dill, and pickled rock shrimp. It was decadent with so many flavors and textures from the crispiness of the English muffin to the meatiness of the shrimp and the smoothness of the chicken liver mousse. Again, very unique and unlike anything I've tried before. Besides the food, the ambiance is sleek and sophisticated. I enjoyed the music of Brant Jester on the piano. My servers at the bar, Alex and Richard, were so helpful in recommending dishes and drinks. If you want to impress someone Corvino is the place to go for dinner in Kansas City.

The setting has a very upscale feel and the price tag matches the feel. The service was exceptional! Wait staff was super knowledgeable and helpful. Let me say our food was fine, we enjoyed it but not sure I'd come back. The oysters were hands down the best cooked or broiled oysters we'd ever had, the beet salad was just "ok" but not super flavorful, the salmon was a good combination of flavors and was cooked perfect. I'd heard the burger was one of the best in town and it wouldn't even be in my top five. It was fine as were the fries but wouldn't come back for either. It was good experience but not someplace I'd come back too based on price versus value.

Touch and Go Cocktail and Burrata

Corvino offers a thoughtful small plate dining experience. Don't go expecting big portions, but everything is full of flavor and beautifully presented. Eddie paired my drink perfectly. The Touch and Go was spicy and delicious. Favorites were the trout roe cream with seaweed donuts & the burrata with meyer lemon sauce, thanks to Manager Genny. Aleigha, Dining Coordinator, guided us through the menu and brought great insight. See her if you're planning something special. Great place for date or hosting large groups.

Drinks were delicious ( Stardrop and Shrub & Bubs NA ) as well as the House Fries and Bone Marrow appetizer. For dinner i ordered The Half Bird Fried Chicken. I enjoyed 3 of the pieces, took one home and my date had the other piece. All 5 pieces arrived out piping hot, crispy, bone in and flavorful. I loved the herbed butter and skipped the other sauce as it was too spicy for me. The other entree we ordered was the Coulotte Steak. It was recommended Med-Rare and was perfect. Dessert was exquisite. We shared the Marshmallow Pecan Beiget. It was a single fresh made doughnut with a block of toasted Marshmallow. Our server Paige took great care of us all evening -- friendly, attentive, and helpful without hovering. Drinks were a strong start. My wife enjoyed the Rittenhouse Rye, and I went with the White Mezcal Negroni, which was a fun twist on a classic. We mixed it up more than usual with our food order. I typically go straight for the Smoked Pork Chop (and probably will again next time), but this visit I decided to try the Chicken Tagliatelle. No regrets -- just a reminder of how much I love that pork chop. We loaded up on small plates to kick things off: the Pickles, Potted Cheese, Mushrooms, and Carrot Soup. The "pickles" are more of a seasonal vegetable assortment than traditional pickles, which made them more interesting. The mushrooms and the soup were absolute standouts -- rich, comforting, and perfect for a chilly evening. For entrées, we ordered the Courlette Steak and the Chicken Tagliatelle. The steak had great flavor, though it came out a bit more done than the medium we requested. The chicken pasta was hearty and satisfying, and I'm glad I gave it a try. Dessert really stole the show. The Pudding Chômeur was easily the highlight of the night -- warm, sweet, and incredibly comforting. Total crowd-pleaser. The Almond Cherry White Chocolate Ice Cream was also a big hit at the table and a perfect way to finish the meal. Another memorable dinner at one of our favorite spots. Now let's hope my photos post this time.

TLDR: MUST EAT HERE. You can't go wrong dining here…read more In the short amount of time that I've lived in KC, I've dined here 4? 5? times. I can't believe I haven't written a review yet bc this place rocks my socks off!! The thing that blows my mind is that I've never had a bad meal here. We usually order 5-7 dishes here, and not a single one has been bad. Sure, we've had one, maaaaaybe 2 items where we were like, "okay, that was good but not amazing"--but it's rare. The first time I came here, I looked at the menu and was like, none of these words mean anything to me and some of these straight up sound like Harry Potter spells, but then the food comes and EVERYTHING tastes amazing. It's magical! The menu does rotate frequently, but somethings stay on for a while, like the cauliflower. Never have I ever been so excited about a head of cauliflower, but this one is just so delicious with the nuttiness of the almond slivers and the mild spices from the romesco. YUM. That's a dish you'll have to get! The cocktails are equally magical! The seasonal spritz is my go-to. Definitely don't snooze on the cocktails. They also have an interesting list of wines too, for those who are into some funky stuff. **They do have a sister restaurant called Anjin (which is supposed to be a "Japanese" Izakaya-esque experience) but as a Japanese person, it was a hard no for me. I did some research beforehand and saw that The Town Company received a James Beard nomination and had numerous glowing reviews, so I made sure to make a reservation a week in advance. The previous night, he had treated me to The Restaurant at 1900, which was fantastic, so we were expecting a meal of that caliber. That was not the case. To begin, the ambiance was fine. It was your typical, trendy upscale hotel restaurant that is dimly lit and has an open kitchen. We ordered the signature rolls, beef tartare, apple endive salad, and short rib-filet plate. After the rolls, everything went downhill, which was a huge disappointment. As for the rolls...who doesn't like a buttery, shokupan-like bread? The cultured butter they came with had a nice tang, but the carrot spread tasted like a salty, carrot-ginger soup concentrate. Not my favorite. After the bread was served, all of the other dishes were served so slowly that we wondered if they had forgotten us. While we were waiting, a server brought us the wrong dish and wordlessly took it away when we politely told them that we hadn't ordered it. Now that I think about it, the waitstaff here reminded me of the employees at Le Labo--same brand of aloof. The apple endive salad could have been delicious, but the amount of dressing overpowered its contents. All I could taste was a sweet, overly-acidic poppyseed dressing reminiscent of a store-bought bottle of Brianna's. I rarely complain that food is overseasoned, but that was the case with the salad and the next dish, the beef tartare. The beef tartare was so overloaded with lime, ginger, chili, lemongrass, and other spices that we couldn't really taste the beef at all. It reminded me of larb, which I wouldn't be mad at if I were ordering a LARB, not an overpriced beef tartare. The most disappointing plate of the night by far was the short rib and filet plate. Upon asking our waitress how many plates we should order, she told us that three small plates and one main dish would be more than enough, since the main, protein-centric dishes were "substantially larger." We were very wrong. We each got a small bite of short rib and one thumb-sized chunk of filet, which was served with--you guessed it--an overly salty, uninspired red wine sauce and giant, salt crystals. The parsnips and brussels sprouts were just...there. By the end of the meal, neither of us could hide our disappointment and decided to opt out of dessert. They brought us a complimentary after-dinner "truffle," which, to me, tasted like artificial fruit cereal and Pop Rocks coated in white chocolate. It was extremely underwhelming and gimmicky, and frankly, I haven't left a restaurant feeling pissed in a while. I was expecting a lot more from the Leach team and probably won't be back, but happy for the folks who enjoy this restaurant.

It's a lovely restaurant. It seems a bit out of the way with mostly corporate buildings around. The restaurant has a nice modern aesthetic. I like the purple hyacinths hanging from the ceiling in one area. It was very steady for an off time in the afternoon. First, our server Olivia was amazing! Very attentive and we were extra needy this day so I really appreciate her patience. We even dropped food on the floor. Oops! She was so nice about it and cleaned it up immediately. We had customizations and extra requests. No problem for her! She went above and beyond. I hope she sees this because she was such a joy! The food was also very good. We started with the biscuits and one peach compote and one blueberry. Both were yummy. They were traditional drop biscuits and I love a good biscuit! We also had an order of fried green tomatoes on goat cheese grits. You get 4 very large slices. I could only eat one. The grits were yummy but there were not enough of them in relation to the friend green tomatoes. They were also encased by a sauce. I'm guessing a remoulade. I don't really care for remoulade sauce so I'd have removed it had I known it came with the dish. It really overpowered the goat cheese taste in the grits. The tomatoes were very al dente and I would have preferred them cooked a bit more. The dish was still good but my least favorite and I would normally love anything with those ingredients and fried green tomatoes are a favorite so the remoulade (or whatever it was) sauce was a real problem for me. I would definitely get them again without the sauce because they are great otherwise. But that sauce just overpowers every other flavor! I got the chicken tender dinner and others in my party got the bone in fried chicken. Everyone liked their chicken. The tenders were a big size. 4 of them but I hit 2 meals out of them. Everyone liked the Parmesan rosemary potatoes. I really liked the bacon green beans. The only side we weren't impressed with was the Mac and cheese unfortunately. The cheese was not good. We got coffees and a chai. All of them were very good. A bit pricey for the amount you get though. Even with the smaller complaints, I'd still give th a 5 because of the outstanding service and the dishes were overall very good and large portions. We will definitely return and I hope to try out a breakfast item next visit!
