Hi Corvette lovers, especially the classic ones. I am adding my two cents to this Yelp site because I feel that the world needs to hear the truth about Corvette Repair: Kevin Mackay and his Team of amazing talented professionals.
I have been doing business with Corvette Repair since the very first beginning to when he first started in 1985. I met him by chance, I don't remember exactly. I had just entered my 1967 L71 roadster at an NCRS New England meet in Sturbridge, Mass. and received a Second Flight Award, I was told that I needed to have the engine compartment and undercarriage detailed. I brought the car to Corvette Repair in Valley Stream Long Island and had Kevin do the work necessary to achieve a Top Flight. When the next show came up which was in Mystic Conn I received my first Top Flight Award and a few years later after another 2 Top Flights and a Performance Verification Award
went on to receive the coveted Duntov Award which is the highest achievement of NCRS Awards. It was the beginning of a long term relationship that has lasted 26 years. The most recent car I had him work on was a 1962 Corvette Fuel injected roadster, that was a nightmare car, the mechanical fuel injection unit is very tempermental, and wasn't running right until I decided to give it to Kevin and his team and after that it ran like a clock, he also did paint on the car which is flawless, interior work which is perfect and not to mention the undercarriage which also came out beautiful, resulting in achieving an NCRS Top Flight. I can only vouch that Corvette Repair is probably the best Corvette restoration and mechanic shop on the planet, just with all the cars he has restored or got them running the way they are supposed to run and all those Awards are testamonial to what his shop is all about. Corvette Repair is a specialty shop and is not a collision shop Period. It is the best definition for a WORLDCLASS Corvette restoration shop and only uses the correct ingredients necessary without cutting corners to achieve greatest award winning results, I would recommend anyone who is just looking for some collesion work to go to their nearest body and fender place, especially for Corvettes that aren't collector desirable. Think of Corvette Repair as a shop of talented craftsmen and artists out of a modern day Renaissance.
