I was soooo thankful for this! The staff was so friendly and I had such a great experience with Dr. Fletcher. Very informative, professional and I can tell her really cares about you and your pet. I need to get a urine sample on my guinea pig and instead of driving a little under an hour back to drop it off he had said that he knows a vet where I live and he was willing to make phones calls to get me in to drop off the sample to run labs. I really appreciated him for that. I was again so thankful his team got me in so soon being a new client and all. Wishing I lived closer so he could become my regular vet but I think if need be this will be my back clinic if i'm not able to get into my local vet office!

We have been extremely happy with Reid Veterinary Hospital and would highly recommend them to…read moreanyone looking for compassionate, affordable veterinary care. Our puppy, Penny, and our two cats all receive their care here, and every experience has been positive. The doctors and staff genuinely care about animals, and it shows in the way they interact with both pets and their owners. What really impressed us was Penny's first visit. Instead of rushing the exam, the veterinarian stood still and allowed Penny to approach and sniff her at her own pace. Then, rather than forcing Penny onto an exam table, she sat on the cold floor and performed the examination there so Penny would feel more comfortable and less intimidated. That level of patience and understanding meant a lot to us. The prices are also very reasonable, which is increasingly hard to find. Even more important, you never get the feeling that they're putting profits ahead of your pet's well-being. It's clear that the doctors and staff have a genuine passion for what they do and incredible patience with animals of all personalities. Thank you for the outstanding care you've provided to Penny and our kitties. We appreciate everything you do and look forward to bringing our pets here for years to come. Highly recommended!

I had asked her a simple question - she was snarky and made me feel dumb. Luckily one of the vet techs was there to answer my question in a very positive manner! I also believe that this is the lady I talked to over the phone, who rushed me when I had asked how much a neuter was. She didn't tell me until the second phone call(when I had asked why it was so expensive/what is included in the price) that there were extra things added to the price and I could choose to add/take away the services if I wanted (kinda shady). I regret purchasing the puppy package here and when that expires, I will shop around for another vet office. Update: I have gotten this settled and have revised my review based on the service I now get! They see my little Finn and every time they treat him so well!

I was impressed I have been to veterinarians in portland, wilsonville, salem, keizer, klamath falls, and albany, both good and bad experiences. At first you're drawn aback a little because it's not like your typical veterinary office, it looks like a house so I almost missed it because I was looking for a building. Then I went in the front staff were very friendly, the veterinary tech and the veterinarian were friendly as well. They answered all questions and then told me some things I already knew as well. They were extremely nice to my little man and DIDN'T treat him like some veterinarians that seem to be "all business, trying to get everything done as fast as possible". The veterinarian recommended some labs however didn't try to force me into anything, she wasn't rude, condescending, there was no attitude, it was more of a "if you're interested we can do this". They show you how much things cost before they do anything and what I really appreciated was that she was honest about not wanting to over vaccinate (which I totally agree with, because some of it seems unnecessary). She was very caring, she let me know that since he was neutered recently (at a different veterinarian) that it wouldn't be a good idea to get him his rabies until he had a little time to recuperate since his immune system just took a bit of a hit from that. Her veterinary tech was very nice and even went out of her way to look up some travel information for me. They also had Darwins cat raw food diet which was impressive because I am waiting on my order, they let me buy some to get him through until the order I placed gets here. I like the fact that their office is a "cat only" set up because it allows the veterinarians to concentrate on the feline species with their vast knowledge and allow for a more caring personal visit, when I take my little guy to the veterinarian I want someone who actually cares about how he's doing and asks questions or answers my concerns, just like my children(s) doctor does. The prices were not bad at all especially for here in Corvallis where everything is overpriced, and the service was well worth the price I did pay. It's also a comfortable office, it isn't noisy, and it doesn't have your typical veterinary office smells that can cause your pets to get stressed out. Overall more than deserving of a 5 star rating. I would recommend taking your feline friends here for care.

It was clear to me that the vet and all of the workers truly care about the animals they are intrusted with and want what's best for the animals no matter what. The level of understanding, care, compassion and thoughtfulness I experienced has made me a loyal customer and I can say without any hesitation or doubt that I completely trust these people with the care of my furry family members!

During our first visit before scheduling surgery, a student let us know she'd be taking our dog to…read morethe back to examine and then the vet would check over to make sure she did it right and she'd be right back. At no point were we told this would take over 2 hours, or whether we could leave the room we were in to go to the bathroom, etc. I chalked this up to inexperience with communication on the student's part. On the day of surgery they had us drop off 11 hours before the surgery was scheduled, which seems excessive and unkind given the very real risk of death, but I mentioned this on requested feedback and hoped they would be better. Finally, yesterday they sent me an email telling me to fast my dog and be prepared for an all day appointment and I called to confirm that this would not be the case because he just needed his incisions checked. I was assured this was an error and that his appointment would take no more than 20 minutes. They once again took him back to check his incisions, which took 40 minutes, and told me his medication would be ready in 10 minutes - it took another *50 minutes* for that to be completed and for me to get checked out because the front desk people were confused. The vet who performed the surgery was great; but the clinic itself is ran in a way that is completely disrespectful and incompetent.

Having your pet euthanized is an extremely hard thing to go through. Scheduling an appointment…read moreonline, doing all of the final preparation for your pet and yourself, and then having no one show up is incredibly traumatic. Yesterday, I scheduled an in-home euthanasia appointment for my Mastiff through their website. My credit card was charged a deposit, and I received a confirmation email for both the charge and the appointment (screenshot of the confirmation email provided). My husband took time off work this morning so that we could be together for our dog's final moments. We spent the day preparing for today and caring for our dog, knowing that we would be saying goodbye. This morning, we gave him what we thought was final meal, his favorite treats, and spent time with him before the scheduled appointment. We were literally sitting outside waiting for the veterinarian to arrive. No one showed up. When I called to find out what was happening, I was told that we were outside of their service area. This was incredibly upsetting because their website specifically lists Sweet Home as an area they serve, and we live less than 1.5 miles off the main road. What is especially upsetting is that no one called me to let me know they were not coming. Instead, I found an email that had been sent telling me we were outside the service area. I hadn't seen the email because I was outside taking care of my Mastiff and preparing for his final day, not checking emails. For something this important, especially an end-of-life appointment, I would expect someone to make sure the client actually received the message rather than simply sending an email and assuming it would be seen. If there was a question about whether my location was within the service area, that should have been resolved BEFORE accepting the appointment, charging my credit card, and sending me a confirmation. This wasn't a routine veterinary appointment that could simply be rescheduled. This was our dog's final day. We had emotionally prepared ourselves, prepared him, my husband had taken time off work, and we had arranged for someone to come to our home so that his final moments could be peaceful and comfortable. Instead, we were left sitting outside waiting for someone who was never coming. Having to now make another phone call and schedule this heartbreaking appointment with someone else after everything we went through this morning is devastating. I understand that service areas have boundaries, but I do not understand how an appointment can be accepted, a deposit charged, and an appointment confirmation sent without determining whether the address is actually within the service area. At the very least, I believe this situation warranted a phone call rather than a missed appointment and an email that I didn't see until afterward. I sincerely hope they reconsider how they handle situations like this in the future. Families reaching out for in-home euthanasia are already going through one of the most painful experiences imaginable. They deserve clear communication, reliability, and compassion.
