It's been awhile since I've cruised the low streets of the Southwest. It's been even longer since I've stepped foot into a hometown favorite - Allsup's. It's more than a gas station, or corner store. Not only can you buy a slushie, green chili and jalapenos are available too. Thirsty? You still will be. There are stacks on stacks of cases filled with cool beverages to dehydrate you and detract from the water you should drink to withstand the 102 degree temperature waiting for you outside this air conditioned haven. Tryna turn up? Well that liquor cabinet by the register will help get the party started. Just don't forget to take some burritos and a few tamales for the homies. You already know to bring extra hot sauce. We don't mess with that mild.

This particular location seems to be good in terms of proximity to the rest of the restaurants and shopping. My problem was with pay-at-the pump. This has never happened to me... I pressed unleaded, then was charged the premium price. I'm fairly certain I ensured that the regular button light was actually blinking before I inserted the nozzle into my fuel tank. If it wasn't, why else would it have automatically charged me THE HIGHEST RATE. Was it because that was all that was available? My Jeep doesn't really need premium. It doesn't benefit from it that much so I would have never purposely choose it. The only reason I didn't stop pumping was because it was windy as hell. Trash and dirt flying everywhere. Okay I'm rambling, but on top of that the pump was slow. Another indication that the pump I chose was almost completely out of all three fuels? Thts a big issue with me. If I wanted to go inside to get it I would have just paid inside so I appreciate tht. The store was a little cramped but not messy or dirty. Associates were polite. One thing I do like abt them as I've always got a response from them on my reviews. To me Thts a sign of a company tht listens to their customers. Not sure how they reactive to the stores reviewed, but I would think the use the data.
