The tour was an extra 30-45 minutes as we had spotted the whale's blow hole misting water off in the distance towards the tail end. It was nice the guide let us spend time trying to see it up close. Our skipper/tour guide Jack was great! The covered boat is quite comfy. Lots of leg room. I wish they had some sort of speaker system for the guide as the motors are obviously very loud. Love the top deck viewing and the fact that there's plenty of room to move around the boat so you aren't seated in one spot for the entire tour. This is a great tourist activity. Highly recommend!

Zack took an incredible amount of time for our tour and gave us a personalized adventure.  We were also blessed to see whales, porpoise, urchins, starfish,  seals, sea lions. He knew all the places to go and gave such an amazing insight of the different islands and mountains. He also gave us snacks and beverages from locally sourced places. Literally we could not have asked for better and it was even more amazing than we could have imagined.  When we come back we will ONLY book here.

Once we were on our way, the learning began! Did you know that oysters are one of the most sustainable forms of aquaculture? Or that one little oyster filters a bathtub of water per day, keeping our oceans clean, pristine, fresh and beautiful? We learned so many incredible facts about his family oyster farm, the innovation they are adding to the industry, oysters as a species and the local aquaculture. The boat has both inside cabin space and outside deck space, making it great to enjoy the sea breeze and spray, but also shade from the hot sun. Captain Zach has an incredibly deep knowledge of the Discovery Islands and Desolation Sound, pointing out mountains, islands, bays and even rock formations, and added a depth of history to everything he shared. His passion to share this area of Vancouver Island is contagious! We saw a pod of dolphins, sea lions, eagles, all sorts of waterfowl. At no moment did we feel rushed, it was a beautiful leisurely day on the water - that also kept at 3 year old happy and engaged all day - and ended with the a delicious feast of oysters. When the opportunity to see this ditillery came up because I would be In Campbell River, this was a no brainer. I knew what I wanted, so I came away with three single malts. Smoke Point, which is an Islay style but smoked with driftwood, Classic Single Malt, and 10 Year Old Estate Whiskey. The gentleman helping me out was very friendly. They are known as a field-to-flask or grain-to-glass distillery. They grow their own grains to make the product and is disilled on site. All of the whiskies are overproof, with some more so than others. Enjoy responsibly.

She had recently gone up to Campbell river with her bf, and they had taken the Comox Glacier Tour, she was basically so excited that she was babbling with joy and enthusiasm. How can you ignore something like that? We set up a tour for the next day. 49 North was super accommodating, we had a drive in front of us, to get there, so we scheduled for 3 pm. We took a relaxing, winding trip up from Victoria to Campbell River; it's a lovely drive. We arrived about an hour early, so we just stopped in. Jean-Marc took us up. His wife pulled together a lunch for us, and we had a fabulous experience, flying over mountains, glaciers, lakes, and having one of the best views for lunch. Seriously a stunning experience. Jean-Marc has been flying for 20 years, and this is his business, he gave us thrills, and we felt safe the entire flight. There is a lot of turbulence when you cross over the tops of mountains, but that only gave the whole experience more of that roller coaster feel. I highly recommend taking a helicopter trip with 49 North, if you get to Vancouver Island. If you listen carefully, you can probably hear me babbling with enthusiasm.

We saw Pacific White Sided Dolphins in a group of 150+, Sea Lions feeding on salmon, Humpback Whale mother and calf, black bear and incredible tidal whirlpools. Everday is different when you go out. Today's tour took us through Discovery Passage and around Sonora with dockside lunch on Stuart Island at Big Bay. Jos and Rentia are incredibly kind, courteous and experienced. Very safety oriented and well connected with the local guiding and business community. Their Ikaika enclosed boat was very clean, quiet, fast and accesible for all abilities. Highly recommend Eagle Eye. If your fortunate to get Jos, he'll share some great life stories, photography and deep ethic for protecting the Pacific coast, its wildlife, and our planet.

Super chill, relaxed, and so knowledgeable of the local topography. It was great to nerd out with someone about geography and caves. After a brief hike, we got to the cave. It was my first time in this environment. The actual cave itself is marvelous. We got to check out stalactites, some interesting formations in the rock that have developed over centuries, and got to do some tight squeeze crawls and one pull-up style climb, which resulted in me getting stuck for a very terrifying 10 seconds, until I realized a rock had snagged my pants lol. We saw some creepy cave bugs, and got a chance to sit for a moment in total darkness and silence. My kids loved it. Cannot wait to go back for the maximum adventure tour!

The website was easy to navigate, and I appreciated the ability to sign and submit our waivers ahead of time. The drive up to the check-in place involved a pristine logging road, according to my husband and I would have to agree it was good as far as logging roads go. We went on the two cave tour with our guide, Oscar. I had been a little apprehensive about going on the cave tour the night before (because we were willingly going into pitch-black, cold, tight spaces), but Oscar's passion, humour, and knowledge of the area eased my fears. Thanks to the information on the website, we were well dressed and prepared for the temperatures (they provided sturdy helmets and head lamps). Oscar took us on the hike up to the cave and gave us plenty of opportunities to rest. He guided us through every step of the two caves, so I never felt anxious or afraid, and I was able to go through the physicality of the cave tours (some climbing, crouching, etc), without much trouble. I emerged from the two cave tour smiling and exuberant, having done something completely new to me. I felt the prices were reasonable, and I would recommend the tours for sure!

Ben pushed me to expand my boundaries in the kayak and gain levels of experience I didn't think I would achieve. Anna showed me the flora and fauna of the area that I would not have otherwise noticed. Laura showed me how to slow down and appreciate all that the area has to offer. Bender kept us so full every day of the trip. The food was delicious and so plentiful that I could not have possibly eaten any more. I was completely satisfied with the vegetarian fare that was served at the sit down meals every day. The cabins were cozy and I was never too cold. The sauna and hot tub were always good and hot, so after a paddle I was able to warm up. The staff went out of their way every day to ensure everyone's comfort and safety. All in all it was a great trip. Thank you wild coast for putting on such a great time for me and my crew!
