Went to eastern market, shed 3, corridor sausage was no where to be found, went to all sheds

Holy freaking sausage heaven. They are at Eastern Market, Shed 2 on Saturdays and Westside Market in A^2 on Thursdays. Just an FYI. They finally have a website up and running and hopefully online ordering to expand their great business soon. I love that they give out samples in person though so I will probably stick to face to face transactions myself. The Vietnamese chicken is awesome as are the juniper and garlic brats and the green curry and pork. All these have been mentioned by prior reviewers so I will just +1 them. I have to say I love this place for branching out in the realm of sausage delights. I am a devotee of Hot Doug and these, while not reaching that height yet, are indeed on the path to gustatory greatness. These guys will rock your narrow little world with the majesty of some adventurous charcuterie local style at least. I will add the angus beef and chimichurri worked for me as did their spicy Italians and merguez. They seem to have a real nice feel for spice, I will agree with Mary if you are not into heat a lot of these varietals will not do it for you. If you like a bit of zip though, these babies will make your palate do a little happy dance. The wallet? Ummm not as much. I can't wait for them to have some salumi for purchase. read more

You can try sausages from one place to another and there will be some variation, but small. You may detect a hint of a different flavor here and there. Well, it's time to change. It's time for a sausage that doesn't taste like any other one you've had. The flavors will make you close your eyes and think about what a wonderful world,....oh I mean, sausage it is. Yes, that good. I don't hand out five stars for any reason. These sausages are locally produced in Detroit with pasture raised meats and all poultry coming from MI. They use non GMOs and fresh herbs, which you will tell immediately by tasting these delicious herbs in every bite. My absolute favorite so far is the Turkey & Red Mole that has tomatillo, chilies, cocoa nibs, raisins, sesame, and spices. The intense flavors of these ingredients really shines with this sweet and slightly spicy mixture. Nothing compares. My latest love from them is the Apple, Sage & Pork that has dried apples, coriander, sage, and maple. This is giving the turkey and red mole a run for its money. This one reaches a little higher on the sweetness factor and less on the spicy side as compared to the mole. The sweetness is still controlled and not overwhelming. When eating these side by side, determining which bite to end with was extremely difficult. I believe you'll fumble with the eternal question as well. Unfortunately I have not been able to find them in any stores, only at the farmers markets in Royal Oak and Eastern Market. They may be at others as well, not sure. They always have samples out, take advantage of all the options and find the one that makes you reach your happy place, it won't be just one, I promise. read more

Yup...still lovin these guys and their tasty offerings. It's a must every time we are down at Eastern Market. In fact, we made a special trip to get some sausages on the way to Traverse City to visit family (okay, so it's not really on the way). Now we have family who won't let us come to visit if we don't have sausages with us - I'm pretty sure my favorite is the Green Curry and Pork. Pairs really well with a mango salsa I make. Yum. New this year at EM is the Corridor Sausage food truck. Had one today - super tasty...really good bun that held up to the toppings without getting soggy. This will now be a stop when ever we go to EM because what is better than these sausages? Having someone else cook them for you, of course! :) read more

These guys are my go-to when I want to fire up the bbq. I always hit their stand at the Royal Oak farmer's Market on saturday mornings and have yet to be disappointed with the results. So far I've tried their lamb marguez, division street bangers, eastern market brats and most recently their chorizo. Astounding and unique flavor combinations, with options to meet any theme or dish. I made some chorizo kebabs last weekend and the memory still has my taste-buds dancing in pure ecstasy. I look forward to trying all of their products in the future and highly suggest everyone does the same. read more

And juniper and garlic, red mole turkey, and apple sage OMNOMNOMNOM all the way home. Pork heaven awaits in the freezers and the sample trays at Corridor Sausage Company. My beau's eyes light up whenever he catches a glimpse of their stall at Eastern Market, a humble whiteboard identifying today's temptations ready to kibosh any earlier dinner plans. Sausages are sold in packages of four for $6 to $12, depending on your preference in a flavourful parade that strongly represents more spiced and zippy varieties. Truly, the sausage scions are some kind of wizards in the kitchen, coming up with pairings meant to knock your socks off. Vietnamese chicken gives a powerful kick without overpowering the palate, a perfect option for a hot summer night or a cold winter evening along with a side of rice and grilled veggies. Juniper and garlic never, ever goes wrong. It's a taste of the north country that somehow captures a bit of smokiness and clean water, among my favourites. Lamb and fig explores a combination of sweet and savory in ways that I never expected to work, and yet does. I'm sparing with my purchases because a few packages of this and that can quickly rack up the costs, but it's well worth the occasional indulgence. Otherwise, I'd gain 50 pounds easily enough. I can wax on about the fresh ingredients, the inventive and truly delicious arrangements, and the excellent presentation of their sausages and brats. Mmmmm.....sausage! (get your mind out of the gutter) I'm talking about fresh, delicious and mouth-watering sausages which are available at Eastern Market. The Corridor Sausage Co offers some great variety of sausages. Of the ones I got to sample, each sausage offered the perfect combination of spice and flavor. My favorite (like many others) is the Vietnamese chicken sausage. I will say that they have to be cooked properly at home. I'm afraid I over-cooked some, which made them a little bit dry. Lesson learned...i gotta keep an eye on those suckers when they are sizzling away in my kitchen. Pricey? Yes. Delicious? Absolutely! Their green curry pork sausage made cry with happiness. Tons of flavor and not chewy or fatty. The herbs & spices that complement these sausages are on point. We bought a pack of their Vietnamese chicken and the lemongrass and ginger were a perfect combo with the chicken. Normally when I think Vietnamese sausage, I think of the Banh Mi Xui Mai (Vietnamese Pork meat ball sandwich that you can't find even at the Vietnamese Restaurants on John R block...sigh, I miss Little Saigon in OC!) and say pplegh! to chicken! But these were good! Juicy when grilled or pan seared in the wintertime. We also sampled the green curry and pork and that was tasty too! I'll have to buy that next time. I think it was $8 for 6 links (~1lb). A little pricey but def worth it for specialty meat products such as these. Btw, we bought these at the R.O. Farmers Market Saturday and not at Eastern Market. The first time we had their sausage was at the biergarten in West Village. It was the lamb and fig, which was very yummy. I was happy to find their stall at Eastern Market (where they are every Saturday) and see more options. This time we purchased the Turkey with Red Mole and Vietnamese Chicken. I was extra happy to find out each one was on 210 calories per link! The Turkey with Red Mole was a perfect match for our breakfast when partnered with a quiche. It felt like a gourmet meal. The Vietnamese chicken is lighter in flavor and a nice combo with pasta and extra virgin olive oil. At $8 per pound the cost is a little higher than other sausages. Love these guys! My favorite is the Vietnamese chicken sausage. I've also tried the Moroccan Lamb & Fig, the Green curry, the Bacon and Beer and the breakfast sausage. I haven't come across one that I didn't like. I recently found out that Western Market in Ferndale carries Corridor Sausage and I was geeked! read more

I love their sausages! I have had the buffalo chicken, apple and sage pork, and green curry pork. So delicious and unique! You can buy their sausages at local stores (I bought some at Eastern Market and loved them so much and was so excited when I found them at Holiday Market in Canton!) so if you can't make the drive to Detroit, keep an eye out at the grocery store. read more

Fantastic sausages, fresh, unique, and seasonings are fantastic. You can't imagine certain flavors and seasonings coming together so well, and they do. The price is well worth it when you know that each sausage is solid meat, no fillers, no artificial flavors. And when you cook them, you DON'T end up with a puddle of grease in your skillet or flare ups in your grill, as you will do with other sausages. Some of their specialty sausages are produced only during certain times of the year and are are well worth the wait, ie. Irish Corned Beef sausage around St. Patrick's Day. I have given some of their sausages as gifts and people are blown away; many of them will make the drive to Eastern Market to buy some. And their new food truck, Grindhouse Food Truck, has some unique offerings. I was amazed with their Poutine, with Chorizo Sausage gravy. WOW! And the fries stayed crisp to my last bite.
