Mike's transmission gave me an estimate of the cost of doing a rebuild on my transmission…read more Thankfully he actually went through the entire transmission found all the bad parts that most people probably wouldn't have found replace them and I have to say it's been the smoothest driving four wheel drive with a four inch lift on it since I got it back I've ever seen in my life. I had to pull out a few neighbors 3 days ago because where I lived my roads are gravel and you can sink in the mud down here the chassis. Like I said neighbors are stuck I was pleasantly surprised but I gave the four wheel drive it's first really good trial this week I was pleasantly surprised that it performed remarkably well. They did a terrific job rebuilding the transmission and identifying which parts really needed to be changed to ensure longevity of the transmission. I would definitely recommend them to anyone as well as will consider them if I ever need another transmission rebuilt. I love the attention to detail and going the extra mile to make sure it would last thanks to me conscientious business owner that does great work.

Mike looked at it, told me I didn't need to rebuild the transmission, just the back end where the drive shaft goes. Charged me a very fair price, and when I asked about regular maintenance, he said "you just did it."

We finally get it home, my husband gets under truck, spends the better part of the day dropping the transmission to take it off and see what the problem is. Hmmm. Not really sure exactly what happened. Gonna have to defer this to a professional... Most people have reservations when looking for a mechanic, there's just so much shady business out there, overcharging, delays, replacing things that don't need replacing, estimating one cost, and then it ends up costing significantly more when it's time for pick up. I can't tell you how refreshing it was to discover Charles and crew at C & A Transmissions. This guy absolutely knows his stuff inside and out, he knew within 30 seconds of my husband describing the situation to him what the problem was & how much it would cost. We took our vehicle in, thinking it might take a few weeks....it was done in a few days. Crystal clean, ready to go. The crew are so friendly and helpful, so much professionalism and genuine concern. I will recommend Charles and C & A Transmission to anyone needing trannie service done, there's simply no better place to entrust your business.

All of that applies here. Transparency and honesty too apply for any relationship to work. Recently, I got some bad indicator lights and codes on my 13 year old Subaru. I first went to a auto parts store to have codes read. That was very helpful (and I did write a 5 start review for them). I made an appointment with Japanese Car Care (JCC) a week out ~ first available appointment. I arrived, explained to the service writer (Joe) about the error codes and my concerns. He told me they would do a diagnostic (which I felt was needed) and the cost. Although I did feel that the diagnostic price was a bit steep, I said ok... They got me a Lyft home (appreciated) and I waited ... Received a text in the afternoon with a plethora of things that came back from the inspection. Nothing was a surprise to be honest. Nothing super large, but the total to fix everything at once would have been too much for my budget. Joe followed up with a call and we discussed "my priorities". It was helpful that the reported items were listed as CRITICAL, OK, AND CONTINUE TO MONITOR. I gave the go-ahead for the critical things and some of the more maintenance related items. I got an immediate quote including taxes. We agreed I would pick up the car the next afternoon. Got a text in the mid morning the next day saying my car was ready. I called Joe to confirm a road test was done after codes were cleared to enough the idiot lights would not go on again. He confirmed and said he did a quality control inspection too. Feeling good ~ I went to pick up the car. Good news ~ on arrival Joe said he was able to use one of their coupons to decrease my spend ~ he also adjust down the cost for transmission fluid because I needed fewer quarts than quoted. All in all my costs were reduced by about $200. When has that ever happened? I told Joe how much I appreciated the discussions, his patience, and that I felt cared for. I think this may be the start to a lasting relationship!

I was able to get in a couple of days within calling and the staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and attentive. They called and told me that the original issues I had from another car shop weren't even issues to begin with. I wasn't able to pick up my car during normal business hours so they offered the after hours pick up. I love how convenient they have it and it was super easy, it wasn't an extra charge either. They also left a little snack in my car! I highly recommend this place to anyone!

My son worked hard all summer to earn the money necessary to have repairs completed. He trusted your business to perform the work that was discussed and paid for. Unfortunately, we have since learned that the repairs he paid approximately $6,000 for were not completed. When we returned the truck to your shop to address the issue, we were told that the situation was the result of a "miscommunication" between the service technician and the salesperson. While I understand that mistakes can happen, a miscommunication within your business should not result in a customer being charged thousands of dollars for work that was never performed. This situation is particularly concerning because my son is only 17 years old. He worked throughout the summer and saved his money specifically to make these repairs to his truck. To have that substantial amount of money taken for repairs that were not completed is extremely disappointing and unacceptable. Been doing bussiness with them for many years, When Ed Sinnott was the manager we were well taken care of very professional services. Will never do bussiness with this company again, Be Warned..
