Our experience was obviously not typical. We used RedTie Transportation for our wedding. Our transport from our ceremony to reception site was good. The driver was on time and kept to himself. The cars are plush and clean. However, the driver did not know the exact location of the site. Although I can understand the confusion since the site is within a shopping plaza, I believe that it is reasonable to expect to not have to provide verbal directions to our driver. Our transport home turned out to be the larger inconvenience. When leaving our reception, we noticed that the driver was having difficulty starting the car. The driver never directly communicated with us about the problem but we knew that the car battery was dead. A friend immediately ran to get his car and jumper cables. Another friend directed him and the driver on how to jump start the car. Although the situation was taken care of within 20 minutes, it was because of our friends, not their company, that the situation was handled so well. We understand that not all car problems are things that can be prevented. However, I think that these situations are ones that drivers could be trained and equipped to handle in a more professional and efficient manner. The reason for the second star is that we did receive an apology e-mail from the company and an offer for a free airport transfer.* They also said that they felt that their company "minimized the situation as quick as they could". I sent them the information above and I heard back again with another apology, the same offer for a free airport transfer, and the additional offer of 20% of of any other transfer.* I do appreciate their response but can't bump them up another star or two until we have a similar experience to other customers. I am willing to give them another chance. * I wish they had not charged us the full cost of the trip from reception site home and poor service that we received.

This shuttle is mainly for the Mission Bay Area. I heard about it through my apartment building…read more This is such a much needed perk since MUNI monthly pass costs are ridiculous. The MB shuttle is FREE. Can I get an AMEN? Today was the first day and I took full advantage of it. There are several stops around the Mission Bay Area including UCSF, Berry Street, Walgreens, and Cal-Train. The Shuttle begins and ends at the Powell Street Bart Station (stop is by Walgreens on Market). Shuttle runs every 15 min - half an hour or so. You can find their schedule on-line. Basically it runs M-F from 7-10:30am & 3:45-8pm. Perfect for work schedules! Shuttle is very spacious with A/C and Comfy Padded Seats. It took me less time to get to Downtown than it was riding on Muni - obviously there are less stops. It is still fairly new so there are no permanent Mission Bay Shuttle Signs posted. There are just temporary ones or none at all, so I highly recommend downloading a PDF of their schedule and route. I am so thankful for this. It totally beats unreliable MUNI. Now, Baseball season and backed up trains, stuck trains underground, and MUNI fights are a thing of the past. Did I mention that it is FREE?

I have stopped using the Mission Bay shuttles after the schedule and route change that happened at…read morethe beginning of August. The accuracy of times and reliability have completely plummeted, and this is no longer a good service. I realize that the service is free so you can't really complain, but I just want to note my experience and say to not waste your time. You're much better off paying for another service than using this one. Route and Stop Changes - Caltrain to Powell stop has moved from in front of Walgreens to across the street in between 4th and 5th. - Powell stop has moved from in front of the Michael Kors store on Market St. to in front of Bloomingdale's on Mission St. Times The shuttles just don't come on time anymore. Also, the NextBus app is not tracking the times accurately either. There have been multiple times when the app said the shuttle is 2 minutes away, and the shuttle ended up coming 5-10 minutes later or sometimes not at all (I waited at least 10 more minutes before completely giving up). This combined with the new stops where I have to go more out of my way makes for a huge inconvenience when the shuttle doesn't show up, and I have to completely change my plans. The one time that the shuttle did show up (almost 10 minutes late), the driver did not pull up to the sidewalk. He stayed in the most left lane on Townsend and expected me to cross the bike lane and right lane to get to him during rush hour! WTF. After stupidly trying and almost getting hit by bikers, I went back to the sidewalk to see if he would move back over to the right lane. He didn't even make an attempt, so I walked away and headed to the Muni bus instead. This whole experience made me furious at the poor service and safety standards of the shuttle service now.
