Walking into the store immediately it's clear that the owners are artists themselves with a discerning eye for colors, textures, and design compositions. They sell a variety of art supplies and stationary and also hold art classes. The product displays included not only the products themselves but also samples of art that could be created with them. Mini pages of dabbled watercolors lent an air of inspiration with their translucent ombré tones. Dried flowers and twigs, bright warm-shades of fall leaves brought nature into the store and made prime still life subject matter. You could tell the owners put a lot of creative energy and passion into this space. Though I didn't have much direct interaction with the staff, I overheard them helping other customers and providing recommendations. Definitely recommend stopping by in Cold Spring.
