Love this place! I wasn't a big fan of popcorn until I tried this popcorn and now I crave it all the time! They have like a million flavors, they are so creative, the popcorn is fresh and really TASTY, and the prices are super reasonable. They are right in the middle of down town and are opening on up north (YAY!!). After receiving a bag of their Snickerdoodle popcorn, our family loved it so much that I decided to order some more to give away as gifts to friends and loved ones for Christmas. I went to the store on a Saturday. And, they were all out of Snickerdoodle and many of the other more popular flavors. So, I put in an order to be picked up on Tuesday morning. I decided that before I went to pick up my order on Tuesday that I would call to make sure that it was ready. At first, the call went straight to voicemail. I called again, and someone picked up. That person seemed a bit flustered and was unable to find any information on my order or tell me if it was ready to be picked up. He told me to give him my phone number and that he would look for my order and call me back in 5 minutes. More than 20 minutes later, I still had not received a call back. So, I tried calling again. This time, even after several calls, no one picked up the phone. After spending more than $150 to buy popcorn from this place, I definitely expected much better service than this! Almost 2 hours after my first call to them, they finally called me back to say that my order was ready to picked up. Once I got home though, I discovered that part of my order was completed incorrectly. Instead of giving me 4 medium bags of popcorn, they gave me 4 small bags. (TIP: They may want to do a complete check of the order to see if it actually matches up to what's in the bag, before the customer leaves the store!) I immediately called them and ended up speaking to Todd. He was very apologetic and gave me not just a credit for the difference between the cost of the 4 bags, but a full refund on all 4 medium bags, which we never received. It's a busy time of the year for these small business. Things get chaotic. And, mistakes do get made. But, good customer service counts! Hopefully, thru their mistakes, they will become better. Their popcorn is already outstanding. Now, they just have to smooth out the wrinkles in their operations - especially during the BUSY season!! read more

I just went today to check it out. The store is super fun and you can sample a bunch of different flavors. My boyfriend and I had a good time picking our favorite. The lady at the desk was so nice and helpful and mixed two different types since we couldn't decide on just one. The only problem is this stuff is like crack and I can't stop eating it! While the guy at the cash register was helping other people I scurried through the shop like a little cockroach stuffing my mouth with sample bites of crunchy, sweet, spicy, savory, chocolatey, cinnamony, peppery, cheesy, dilly, yummy popcorn keeping one eye on that cash register guy but he didn't seem to mind my popcorn stuffing and dropping it on the floor although it seemed I simply could not get enough to make a good decision on what I wanted or I got too much and my brain was overwhelmed with flavors but I'm not exactly sure what happened to my selection abilities however just one bite will show you what I mean about shoving more and more of the crunchy, sweet, spicy, savory....(see above) popcorn into your pie hole so go and check this place out because the "Kid Bag" is only $2.95 and I had a "Free Bite" through the Belly app so you will want to download that since I purchased four kid bags for less than $10 and the samples are free plus they make 42 flavors. read more

I visited Cornucopia for the first time today and truly fell in love! Not only is the popcorn non-GMO and local, but the flavors and creative and delicious. Austin Texas (Red River St. Location) not sure why my review show San Francisco, CA.....*Review* I Love this place, I visit @ least twice a month, yesterday was actually my 2nd visit this week, yesterday I was Very disappointed to put it Mildly! 3 of the 5 bags of popcorn I purchased were awful AND they were for Family & Friends @ our Christmas party last night, ***from the Dry greeting I received from the young lady when I checked out, to the STALE bag of popcorn, to the bag that seems as if it were scrapped from the bottom of the barrel (full of hulls & popcorn scraps) to the half full bag of popcorn I received, I was Angry & Embarrassed when my friends and family bought it to my attention. I was not aware of any of this @ the time of purchase because the bags of popcorn were given to me in a large white cornucopia bag. I arrived to the party last night, I placed the large white bag on the table with the other snacks for everyone to enjoy...It was not until the end of the night my BFF said, no one wanted to tell Me but 1 of the bags of popcorn was STALE & another bag looked as if it was scrapped from the bottom of the popcorn container, the 3rd bag I had a problem with was the holiday bags with the ribbon which looked Nothing like the display in the store, it was half full....I have been a loyal customer of Cornucopia for the past 6 plus years, not sure about spending my hard earned money here anymore. This place is awesome!! The old shop was really cool but their new location has awesome parking, no creepy hobos, and they have every flavor all the time! I got a 2 gallon tin and it's an investment that's already paid itself off. I bring it to work and parties and everyone loves it. I LOVE the Chili Lime, Honey Mustard and Tuxedo! We absolutely love the Red River location and the staff. Everything I've ever purchased online or in person has been perfect. I encourage the gentleman who received the caramel flavored popcorn as a gift to take the manager up on his offer of a new bag to try. The caramel is delicious - had to have been a fluke. We absolutely love the DILL PICKLE and the HONEY MUSTARD. Always make a point to pick up some popcorn when driving through Austin! I am a teacher and my class had a popcorn picnic last year with several of the flavors that are available in kid sized bags; they loved it. The small bags are a great way to try the flavors if you are ordering online and can't make it to sample all in the store.
