What an incredible place. I've heard about it for years but never checked it out until tonight with some friends. Super cool inside, great music, vibe, art etc. The food was incredible, as I've heard (we had the potato stilton soup, the potatoes, and chicken tikka pasties.) My family and I came here for dinner after being recommend by a friend. We had 9 of our in our party and were able to sit at a long table with heavy duty detailed long benches. It was perfect. Now the food. Everything we ordered was perfection! We had the house bread I could've eaten six orders of that by itself. So fresh and delicious. We also had the chips, mushy peas, garden, and a caesar salad to start. For dinner we had the fish n chips, it was a massive fish and served with fresh chips (fries). It was delicious! For the pasty's we tried the chicken pot pie, cubano, French dip, and the Mexican one. They were out of this world perfection! Big enough for us all to share and try everything. We loved every bite. We also had to have cocktails and house brewed beer. We enjoyed every last drop. For dessert the banaoffee and sticky toffee pudding are musts. We were too busy eating all the delicious food. Cornish pasty is a great stop in for food, drinks, or both! Loved the from-scratch made Pasty's (meat hand pies)! You really only need to order one per person, as they're quite large. They are made fresh and stuffed with filling. I like that it is more filling than breading. Yum! The crust on these pastries is unreal. We had the Cubano, the veggie OG, and the cottage pie - all delicious. The large Greek salad was terrific with a notable lemon pesto dressing. The girls and I came in last Saturday around 10pm. This location is so fun and bigger than we expected. They have a Photo Booth with a wall full of pictures, a few pool tables, a huge bar and lots of seatings and tables. I tried their sticky toffee pudding and it was delicious 8/10- slightly crispy on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside, served with ice cream on the side. My friend got the chicken Caesar salad and loved it, as the chicken was perfectly cooked and tender filled with fresh ingredients. Another got the pasty and said it was very delicious and good portion size. The service was alright, there is definitely room for improvement but other wise I will be coming back soon. read more

We have an over abundance of Asian restaurants here, which is great for me. But when it comes to European food, especially British food, there's a real lack. To get that vibe, this is a top choice. I love the church pews. It's also huge inside, with high ceiling, giving you that beer garden, maybe beer garden and church feel. During the day by the huge windows, you can even get some sun. We came in a huge group and they were kind enough to do separate checks. Thank you and shout out to our server. I haven't been here in years and got the pepper steak pasty. It was really tasty. I initially wanted to be demure and only eat half but after I ate the first half, all demurity went out the window and I chowed down until there was nothing left on my tin plate. Wine pours were generous and everything was just about perfect. Except for one thing. The handle on the ladies' restroom going out is a wooden one. You cannot avoid touching. I don't want to touch wet wood after washing my hands at a restaurant. I sir, am a lady. Especially after the sign on the toilet read "do not flush tampons, pads, and rubbers." Y'all got some people clogging the toilet with condoms up in here? Must be the church like atmosphere that gets people going. But yea. Wood transfers bacteria easily. Especially when wet. They had no paper towels and a wet wooden door handle that had to be touched to leave the bathroom (can't just use your shoulders to bang you way out). This is just unhygienic. Especially since most of us eat the pasties with our hands. Please consider putting some stainless steel over the wood piece or otherwise changing that door handle. read more

Went to Cornish Patsy and had a rough experience thanks to our server, Jessi D. Attitude was off from the jump, asked if we wanted a window seat, and when I said no because of the construction dirt pile blocking the view, that set the tone for the rest of the visit. She wasn't rude outright, just cold and unbothered, no warmth at all. She overheard us talking about a menu item, she let us know, almost gleefully, that everything else was available except that one. Food came out and I found a piece of hair in mine. Didn't even bother saying anything at that point, just didn't eat it. At checkout, she'd already marked "no receipt" without asking, so had to backtrack when I said I wanted one. I left no tip based on the service, and she loudly announced "thanks for the tip" across the restaurant on her way to the back, in front of other seated customers. Unprofessional and unnecessary. I'm a Vegas local and I've worked in customer service. I know what it takes to earn a tip, and I know a bad attitude when I get one. I don't know how crazy this place gets on the normally but I've been to the Scottsdale location (on a weekend) and that was pretty wild. I visited Cornish Pasty with a party of 10. We had a reservation and 6 of us had lunch paid for through a package with lunch and an escape room. They explained that the 6 of us had $55 to spend each which is actually way too much because the food is heavy. This was supposed to be a drink, a pasty and a dessert. I ordered two espresso martinis a pasty and a salad. My pasty order was never put in so once I finally got it we were a little late to our escape room and my food went directly in a box... I did eat the pasty the next day and it was good and heavy but I would have liked to eat with everyone. There are so many options and so many of them sound amazing. I ordered some chips and the chicken tikka masala pasty with both the minted yogurt and the tahini sauce. The chips were perfectly cooked and the extra crispy ones were my favorite. My friends also enjoyed snacking on them. The chicken tikka masala was very flavorful and the pasty was perfectly flaky. I loved it with the yogurt sauce the most. The tahini is very strong, so a little goes a long way. Half of a pasty was perfect for me, so I took the other half to go. The service was really good. My choice was the Guinness Stew which is steak simmered in Guinness gravy, with red potato, mushrooms, carrot, and celery. I love this place! We always end up here after a night out on the art district and it's honestly the best way to finish out the night. Honestly, it probably is a great place to hang out most of the night too. I love this place. Hoku the bartender is literally the greatest. Always so helpful always so fun. We got here just after opening around 11:20 on a Monday. We were seated and I ran to use the restroom while the rest of my group stayed at the table. I had no idea how big this place was until I took that walk. It's a LONG building. Cool stuff to see and discover when you make your way back there. A whole lounge I didn't know about as well as pool tables and a Photo Booth! The only sad part was when I returned they said several items were out including the sticky toffee pudding I'd been hearing and reading so much about. Kind of the reason for my visit was to try this and see what the fuss is all about. All four of us ordered a different pasty. I chose the Reuben having never had a pasty before wasn't aware how different it would taste without that rye bread. Definitely probably wouldn't order it again. I'd go with another filling. My son got the French dip which was good. When our waitress cane back to see if we needed boxes she went and checked on what desserts were now available and the sticky toffee pudding was now an option! I ordered that and my sister in law ordered the chocolate bread pudding. Neither one of us were overly impressed. My sticky pudding was good but half the toffee had gotten spilled over the ramekin and soaked up in the napkin under it. So needless to say not enough gooeyness for my liking. Her chocolate bread pudding had a good chocolate flavor but made it more like a chocolate cake than a bread pudding. She wished they'd of had regular bread pudding. Everyone overall liked the meal. Very good pasties. They come to you right from the oven and are sliced in half to help them cool off. The dough is delicious. I didn't know what to order because there are so many different types so I went with the Oggie. It was great and filled me up. The space is very large and we even scored free parking right next door. I could have eaten it directly from the tub. About those pasty's - she choose the Royale with Cheese and I choose the French Dip. Though I loved my choice, the Royale with Cheese and the BBQ dipping sauce were such a treat! It was giving the essence of my favorite smokehouse burger but filled in the most delightful flaky, buttery pasty. They use just enough crust so the flavors are evenly distributed. While strolling through the Arts District on a rainy evening, I stumbled upon this spot. British comfort was just what I needed! Fair warning, get there early if you're set on one of their popular pasties. When they sell out for the day, they're gone! I missed out on the Cubano, but the Oggy I ended up with was very tasty. The Oggy is filled with potato and steak with gravy to keep it from being too dry. One pasty is incredibly filling, especially if you're planning on trying one of their tasty brewed beers. If you're not hungry, they have a super cute bar setup in the back complete with couches and plenty of open space, making it a great place to just hang out too. read more

These might weigh around five pounds each, no joke. What I love most is the variety. You can get them packed with just about anything. So far my faves have been the French dip, chicken tikka masala, Cubano, and salmon. Each one wraps familiar, crave-worthy flavors in golden, buttery pastry. Depending on what you order there are also an array of dipping sauces. Great music, church pews for seating, and even free parking which is very rare for Downtown nowadays. And there's an interesting story and history on how these got started with hard working coal miners. Fun fact: I'm a coal miners daughter. My dad did this grueling job when I was born in Poland. Beyond pasties they offer a fun spread of some other European eats like scotch eggs, liver pâté, and mushy peas. The menu also includes salads, soups, wings, cocktails & beers. I was drawn by the four and half star average. The trouble with fawning Yelp reviews is they create an expectation most places have trouble living up to. In my experience, Cornish Pasty is one of them. The place was mostly empty when I walked in, and it took longer than it should have for me to be seated. I will say my server did a good job thereafter. I ordered the Shepard's Pie pasty. It was a disappointment. There wasn't much lamb at all, and mashed potatoes overwhelmed the lamb. Ambience? I'll tell you. One of the workers in the open kitchen repeatedly yelled at his co-worker, "do your fucking job" and so forth. Cornish Pasty is technically in the Arts District, but the area is a bit sketchy. The best part of the Arts District that is not sketch at all is on Main Street.
