This is a great facility with a lot of options for children. The swim classes are excellent and the hours are very convenient.

There are pros and cons to this place but overall I am enjoying my time here. The reason I changed…read moregyms was because I moved and Planet Fitness was a bit too far of a drive considering I have so many other choices close by. So I chose this one. It's close to work, I can walk to it afterwards and that was the main reason I decided to come here. It moved locations so it's closer and from what I have heard it is bigger. When I first went to sign up, there was a male trainer there who showed me around- super nice and friendly, walked me around and answered my questions. The front desk reception didn't seem to pay much attention and was training someone else to get be signed up. There are classes during the week for yoga and core and weight lifting upstairs. It has a decent amount of machines and for the most part, clean. I never really see them cleaning anything so it does make me skeptical. What I don't like about this place is the cubby system they have, there are no lockers for you and during really busy times they run out and people are putting their stuff on top of them. There are bathrooms to change in but no real 'locker room.' My biggest pet peeve is the lack of a water fountain. They have water you can buy from a vending machine but no water fountain so when you run out, that's it. It's probably my biggest negative. One big pro for me was it is 24-hours and I think it is what made my ultimate decision was it's open all the time (with your card) and close to work. Everyone has a different thing they are looking for and this just happened to work best for me.

One or two of the receptionists have learned my name because I show up regularly. They do a decent job maintaining the equipment. Occasionally, one of the leg machines or a treadmill will break, but they're good about fixing it as soon as they can get the part. Unlike the other reviewer I don't have a problem with the locker room (or nude people-gasp!). I think the facility is pretty clean. They remodeled the showers a year ago too. They work great--good water pressure, good temperature, and they provide body wash dispensers on the wall. I've used the therapy pool for family swim with my wife and infant daughter and I really liked it. I've also used the free baby sitting service a couple of times, which worked out ok. The hot tub, lap pool, and sauna are all nice too. I haven't taken any classes there, but they seem popular. They offer spinning as well as aerobic type classes. Healthworks can get crowded at peak times, which could impact your ability to work out, but having been to many gyms over the past 15 years I'd still say it's not bad. Monday night between 4:30-6:30 is probably the busiest time of the week. The intensity of the week nights trails off after that. I usually never have to wait for a treadmill since they have so many. I didn't compare Healthworks to the YMCA or Snap Fitness because I live so close that it was a no brainer. I've heard the Y draws more teenagers. Healthworks has members of all ages and levels of fitness so anyone should feel comfortable there. The only things I miss at Healthworks are sports courts (basketball or racketball), Martial Arts classes, and a straight pull up bar. Check out the Y if those are really important to you.

Then second appt was only one for that week. Need to be seen regularly for any benefits. Then they were trying to bill me my copay twice. But here I am, Ms. Ruthy coming in 7 days a week, not to brag , but sometimes I'm working out even twice a day!! Cuz I love it that much. Look I only have good things to say about FLX Fitclub. The instructors are so friendly, enthusiastic and very helpful. Everyone I have met in the classes have been so kind and welcoming. The gym itself is always really clean, organized and everything is wiped down after it has been used. So far I haven't taken a class that I didn't like. I feel like there are a lot of different options, depending on what your looking for. I really enjoy their cycling classes. Body pump is a must. I've felt comfortable enough to try things that I have never tried before like Barre, it was definitely harder then it looks. Then Sh'Bam was something I'd never thought I'd like and It is SO much fun. The class goes by so quickly. I love the Bodyflow and core classes on Fridays. It's a Great workout to do back to back, You feel very zen and sweaty. I have yet to try BodyCombat, BodyAttack and Grit. Not gonna lie, I'm a little nervous, but I'll report back and let you know what I think. Look...if you're looking for a clean gym with an array of great classes, amazing instructors and a fun crew of people to work out with. FLX is for you. Just come and take the 3 classes, to try it out. I bet you'll love it! Anyways thank you FLX family for starting me on my journey to getting healthy!
