I reached out to Johnny to get the walls in the closet ready for the wallpaper installation. He…read morecame to check the walls condition and to give the estimate, I shared what the expectations were. The quote was $600 to flatten the walls for the wallpaper installation (we had orange peel alike texture). When he and his son arrived to work on the walls. They only patched some holes and said that's it. It then came to the argument that that was not how the walls should be prepared for the wallpapers. Johnny offered to skim coat the walls for additional $400. And he was assuring me that the wallpapers can be installed on textured walls, which is not true. I received multiple quotes for the wallpaper installation and EVERY single company said that the walls should be smooth. My advice is when you work with them, record the process/conversation and do a full walkthrough of the steps and the process before they start. What was discussed during the quote doesn't match with the work done. Very disappointed. $600 to patch some holes. The walls are still not ready for wallpaper installation. None of the companies want to install on textured walls because they all say it will bubble up! Now I have to pay extra to the other company to properly prep the walls.

I talked with approximately 15 painters (some are big companies and the rest are small ones who are unlicensed). I deliberately examined each painter then I met Fidel Garcia of New View Painting who showed up immediately after a Home Advisor (Angi's List) request. I was impressed by his humility and respectfulness which I did not find from the other arrogant painters before him. He said he wanted to prove to my friends/neighbors that my house roof/exterior painting project is "his business card". He did not disappoint. He is a one-man company with a few help from his friends. He worked so hard from day one up to conclusion day. He is very reliable who showed up on time and professionally went to work right away. He is licensed and it definitely showed in his skills and abilities. He is communicative, cleaned up after each work day as agreed, placing all his tools at a designated place in my yard. He is respectful of my time, my belongings, and space. He is friendly, precise and attentive to detail. Finally, he finished the project within the mutually-agreed time frame. Overall, his work is excellent as my house now looks brand new. I highly recommend Fidel and will hire him again for all my future painting needs.

I had the pleasure of working with Lanz Drywall Inc., and I cannot recommend them highly enough…read more From the very beginning, Victor was incredibly easy to communicate with--always responsive, courteous, and highly professional. He was prompt in every aspect, from estimates to scheduling and follow-ups, which made the entire process seamless and stress-free. Another significant bonus is that he was very flexible and easy to collaborate with. He would make additional suggestions, some of which he would do at no charge and some of which he would very transparently provide estimates for. All elements were completely at the discretion of the customer, and I found that the interaction was very collaborative and free-flowing. There was no pressure to buy any of the elements that he bid on, and I was easily able to negotiate the scope of the contract. Victor and his crew truly went above and beyond on my garage drywall project. With very high ceilings and tricky areas to navigate, he tackled every challenge with skill and confidence. He even worked around and helped reroute electrical elements--something well beyond a typical drywall job. Not only that, but he finished everything with impeccable attention to detail, including texture matching and a Level 4 finish that made the final result look phenomenal. Billing was exactly what was expected, and there were no surprises either in the execution of the project or in the billing. It's rare to find someone so customer-oriented who takes such pride in their work. Victor's commitment to quality and going the extra mile made a huge difference, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. He added texture to the wall to match interior walls and did so without adding an extra charge. If you need drywall work done right--call Lanz Drywall Inc.. You'll be glad you did.
