Stetler Construction has done a number of major projects for us, and they've all turned out great…read more We started with floating shelves in a bedroom, then had closet shelving put in, then had an entire garage closet redone. All of these smaller projects were completed in exactly the way we wanted. Jeff was extremely responsive, making changes as requested with a great attitude. Feeling confident in his work, we had him screen in our large porch. This work was both effective -- we use our bug-free porch so much more now -- and beautifully done. We get compliments on it all the time. Lastly, Jeff renovated all three of our bathrooms. These were full renovations, with each room taken down to the studs. This was our first time doing serious renovations. As newbies, we relied on Jeff's sound advice and explanations. All three bathrooms turned out beautifully, and everything works great. Jeff and his guys did all the tile work, which is especially superb: totally even and solid. For a few parts of the projects, such as glass shower doors, he brought in an outstanding subcontractor. Many people I talk to have nightmare stories about renovations dragging on and on due to contractors who don't show up on schedule. Or they report shoddily done work. There is none of that with Jeff. He is extremely responsive and always there when he says he will be. And his work is absolutely top-notch. I can tell it really bothers him when anything is the slightest bit imperfect; such things get fixed, even if they are imperfections I would not have noticed myself. He's also extremely honest and fair and his pricing. Highly recommended!

When I was not at home I received text messages and photos of progress and problems in real time. Anthony was able to fill a crack and shore up the roof flashing on a very unexpected crack the back wall of our house. They had to go to Lowe's and Home Depot multiple times when items we purchased were damaged or not quite right. We added a few jobs (painting) along the way, and they were very flexible. With all of the good, the bad and the truly ugly they maintained a very positive attitude which took so much stress off me. They cleaned up after themselves and were completely trustworthy and great to work with. I feel like we got everything we paid for and more. A great value for sure considering some of the headaches they dealt with on our behalf. Even with all that, they managed to finish ahead of schedule and we are very happy with the end results. Definitely recommend.

Did a couple doors for me which were good, few broken pieces of stucco, and wood paneling on front wasn't replaced or fixed but didn't think it was a big deal. Did laundry room remodel and was told it would be retextured as needed and maybe I'm the problem bit it isnt very good. Everything was just painted over. Cabinet doors were uneven he said to take them back, but most people know a few screws inside can fix that, Did that afyer they left. What I can't fix myself is the uneven cabinets he mounted at different heights. Garage door no longer opens without rubbing roughly on door jams after he left. Have a leak under faucet he installed which is a easy fix that I dont think a contractor should walk away from feeling good about themselves, especially for how easy of a fix it is. Will no longer use. Hire with caution.

McClure is the only company you should consider for your plaster (stucco) or painting project. If…read moreyou're planning a home project, make sure to check with McClure first to see if they have the expertise you need. They're not just plaster and paint experts, they can do a lot more! Our project was a breeze! We finished it in just 8 weeks, and the key to that was our awesome communication and daily walk-throughs. Imagine this: a single-story 2,450 sq.ft. home with Masonite siding that needed to be removed to the shear wall. Then, the stucco process could begin. Oh, and let me tell you about those six gables! They range from 20' to 24' at the peak, and there was scaffolding everywhere. But guess what? The crew was always on time, friendly, polite, considerate, and they kept in touch with us every day. Brett even did a daily walk-through and sent us texts about any changes in staffing for the next day. Now, keeping a job site clean is no easy feat, but the crew did their best to keep it tidy and let us access the house. And look at our house now! No more wood trim or siding. The soffits are enclosed, and the body is all stucco. The color matching to the gutter and downspout was spot-on. The texture, medium, is so smooth with the acrylic finish and embedded mesh, it looks amazing. The crew made seven complete passes of the house to apply all the layers, which was a lot of work, but they had a positive attitude for the whole 8 weeks. Every detail was taken care of, and we had frequent consultations to make sure everything was exactly as we wanted. From foundation vents to gable vents, continuous soffit vents, extension for electrical boxes for lights and outlets, flashing for the future concrete steps, and the list goes on. McClure was the mastermind behind all the details, and we didn't have to worry about everything being done as discussed. Our door jambs were weathered, and one door needed a lot of work, but it was done and redone without any fuss, and now it's perfect. The painting of the exterior doors, garage rollup door, and trim is outstanding. Our gutters were removed before the project started, so we didn't have to worry about that. There were two very difficult rakes that required some TLC, but the crew took on the challenge with awesome results. Overall, it was an incredible experience, and we're so grateful for the crew's hard work and dedication. This project wasn't exactly a breeze, but McClure made it a breeze and it seemed like business as usual. Oh, and by the way, McClure doesn't use subcontractors. Most of the crew has been with the company for 15 to 35 years. That's experience and loyalty that goes into each project. Okay, so McClure might bid a bit higher than the competition, but once you see the daily progress details put into the daily tasks, and the final results, you realize why you decided on McClure. It's definitely worth the extra cost. You won't be disappointed with McClure or any of the crew.
