We sent our kitchen assembly instructions ahead of time to make sure they were aware. My overall sense is that Carlos is fairly capable and experienced but either his team or him are not as careful as we had damages to our finished wood toe kicks and our lacquer cabinets looked like they had been dragged over nails as they were being assembled. I didn't appreciate that they made 0 mention of it at all and I had to point it out. As the homeowner, I essentially had to baby sit them for 5 days through the install since it felt like they were incapable / unwilling to read the kitchen cabinet installation instructions in detail and I caught several mistakes early on during the cabinet assembly that made me hesitant to leave it unattended. Carlos's attitude was particularly bad through the entire experience as well. Always made it seem like we were inconveniencing him or being too nit picky even if we caught some mistakes. At one point, he even threatened to quit after the assembly but before the installation simply because he had underestimated the complexity of the project. We did have a 1 day delay due to some plumbing / electrical issues but that's pretty typical as far as kitchen cabinet installations go AFAIK. In the end, they were able to get all the kitchen cabinets installed, albeit with a lot of effort from my end due to the more custom nature of the project. The price was affordable and the work was solid (minus the scratches) but for me the bad attitude wasn't worth it.

I'll be contacting them with a similar advisory. In case moving isn't already stressful enough, Shane and Chris will add to your frustrations by showing up more than two hours late, and not bothering to let you know until 30 mins after they were supposed to start the job. I ask for a call or text when they're on their way (because I couldn't just wait around for them for two hours), and then they call once they're at the home. So I fly up to the house to meet them in less than 15 minutes to find they left to take their lunch break without any communication. When they did finally show up, they spent the entire 50 mins of work whining and complaining about the weight of my furniture and the tight packing of my POD (that was completed by real professionals). Repeatedly asked me if there was anything glass or breakable in boxes so they could just apathetically toss stuff around and carelessly arrange it. Uhhhh, how about you treat someone else's property like it's all fragile/breakable/important to the paying customer?!? What a profound concept. They didn't smartly arrange the space we had to store our property. If they weren't whining about the weight, they were whining that they had to make it all fit in a one car garage. Thankfully it won't be stored long, otherwise I'd be having to find new professionals to fix their mess. Finally, on the last piece of furniture, they decide to bust out a small dolly. It's not your customer's fault if you choose to do things unergonomically, unsafely, and irresponsibly. They then demanded that they still be paid in full despite their inability to follow through on our original agreement, putting me under a very stressful time crunch due to their excessive tardiness. They wanted to claim they'd cut me a deal for my future moving needs, but that is such a laughable prospect, I couldn't even bring myself to acknowledge such a ridiculous suggestion. Why would I ever ask for help from people who don't respect my time, my property, or my finances, and spent the whole 50 mins complaining about the job they were overpaid to do?? JOKES! Maybe they should take the more than double pay they didn't earn and invest in some professional equipment. Unfortunately, professionalism, courtesy, and the most basic level of service standards can't be purchased.

I filed a police report and joined the police to meet them but they said I would have to take them to court and I just didn't have time and knew they wouldn't pay even if I won. The police told me that several of them have criminal records.

They said they had another small move to do in Livermore, then would be at our place between 3-4PM. We bought boxes and rented a truck ourselves and got started packing things. During that time they kept in touch via text to let us know they were on their way. Marcus and Isaiah arrived on time at 3:15PM and we all got to work. Between the two of us, and the two of them, we were able to clear out our entire place in 4.5 hours. They worked non-stop and took great care to treat all of our prized possessions delicately. They mastered the art of Tetris and perfectly filled in the 16 foot truck down to the last inch. After we finished, they waited to ensure the truck would start before they left because we had the hazard lights on for almost five hours.
