The shop later told me my transmission was overfilled by nearly 2 quarts and recommended a pan drop and filter change, which I approved. The problems began immediately after their service. Before picking up my vehicle, I received a call from the owner's son. He informed me that my transmission was now suddenly 'not running well' and exhibiting a delayed engagement from a stop. They immediately blamed this new issue on the 'age' of my vehicle/transmission and told me it was likely failing and 'might need to be replaced.' After doing my own research, I discovered my repair order shows they only installed 3 quarts of transmission fluid for a job that requires 4.5 to 5. They had left my transmission nearly 2 quarts low. A basic fluid service is one of the most common jobs a shop does. If they can't get that right, and their first instinct is to blame your vehicle instead of their own work, they cannot be trusted. This is either gross incompetence or a deliberate, predatory business practice in order to scam customers. I fixed their 'failing transmission' for the cost of 2 quarts of fluid. Avoid this business at all costs.
