We have been with KLA for over two years and are so happy with the community they've created there…read more We started in the Baby Nido (infant room) and have been in the Nido (toddler) 2s and 3s room and have been happy during the entire journey. The teachers and administration treat the all of the children as their own, and the knowledge my young children bring home every day is amazing. Ms. Tracy, who leads the Nido class, has a such gift with toddlers. She is patient, genuine and loving, and has a way of engaging and teaching that is truly unique. She is always on the floor along with the kids and creative enough to engage the various levels. We know our children adore Ms. Tracy which makes it so much easier to leave them every day. Ms. Tiffany is also in the Nido room and compliments Ms. Tracy perfectly. She is also always on floor with the kids and engages them in the creative learning activities. All of the kids seem to really enjoy Ms. Tiffany's company! Ms. Gabby has been in a couple of different rooms with my children at various times. Both of my kids gravitated to her immediately and still talk about her even though neither of them are in the same class as her anymore. She is playful, engaging, and loving. Ms. Lauren and Ms. Madeley were also with my kids at various times, and are also fantastic. They are usually there when I'm picking up and are very good at communicating with parents regarding the child's day, needs, etc. My children had the opportunity to be with Ms. Ashley a few times throughout their time at KLA. Ms. Ashley now leads the older 3s class and has a true gift. She is loving and patient but is great with molding manners and listening skills. The kids absolutely adore her. My daughter is no longer with her class and still talks about her daily, and hangs on her every opportunity she has. She has even asked if Ms. Ashley can come over to our house to play! Ms. Stephanie leads the 3s class and I envy her way of engaging and managing the crazy kids and personalities. She incorporates fun with learning that makes my 3 year old excited to go to school every day. Whatever activity she has the kids doing, she is right along with them on the floor, at their little table, etc. I could truly go on and on about about the teachers and staff at KLA. As a working parent you tend to feel guilty about leaving your kids on a daily basis. However, after so much time spent at KLA, I actually feel a little guilty on the days they are NOT there because I know they are probably having more fun and are learning more when they are there! You can feel confident that your children are in great hands when you are gone. Just don't feel bad when they cry when you come to pick them up because they don't want to leave... It happens to all of us!

She is excited to go to school and she is happy to be with her friends and teacher "Madeline" every single day. She sings "KLA School KLA School" when I am about to drop off. I know she has been taken care well as daily she states that she had a good day during pick up. Teachers are friendly and professional. I like the way they implement the Reggio education model. My daughter has picked up lot of words and started speaking in full sentences after joining the KLA School. Security around the premises is another comfort to know that she is well taken care of. She is well fed with organic food and has plenty of toys to play with. Every day the friendly staffs encourage to do what the kids like, my daughter makes different variety of bracelets, art work and now she can write the entire family member name. What I like the most is, teacher has learned how my daughter addresses us in our native language and communicates the same to her as well to make her feel home. KLA Schools also have the parent portal to communicate with parents on regular basis regarding the kid's progress. Compare to other schools that I have personally experienced nearby, KLA Schools of Plainfield is the best.

I spent far too long agonizing about transitioning. For over a year I thought sticking it out with our previous daycare was the right thing to do. "Would my 3 year old react negatively? Would his behavior just get worse? Was this all my fault?" All true questions I constantly contemplated. After finally getting the "push" we needed (the "last straw", if you will), I started researching daycares in painstaking detail. Tours upon tours, spreadsheets and pamphlets resulted in weeks and weeks of time spent - and at the end, I hit the jackpot. When I first called the school I was only trying to set up a tour, but ended up speaking with Miss Amy for close to a half hour! Her passion for the school was contagious. To be honest, I think I knew I was in love then, but is love at first sight truly real? It is. My in-person tour was hosted by Miss Carly, and I was "lucky" enough to be there during a fire drill. I laughed at my luck, but I was also ironically happy to be there at the time because I was able to see how all the procedures were handled, and how serious they took safety. Before I left I knew with certainty that our kids would transition and that they would love it - no doubt about it. So, I gave notice to our previous daycare, and we happily started at Children's Courtyard...the week before the Stay-at-Home order (told you I was "lucky"...). What started out as excitement for a new school turned into a two month stay-at-home order, which built up the anticipation of a new school (for both the kids and us!). I'm grateful every day for a school that is understanding, helpful and engaging. Knowing they're in a safe, educational and nurturing environment relieves so much stress and we wouldn't have been able to experience this at our previous center. I forward every daily report to my mom and we talk nearly every day, complimenting the school and how lucky we are that we've found such a wonderful place! I never imagined I'd be sending both my kids in full time, as I've always had the help of my parents. But times are certainly different now and thankfully we have our kids in the best possible place.

It is very child centered; the staff is kind and caring. The activities are age appropriate and fun! I have never seen a better preschool in my 34 years a s a Naperville mom and now grandmother. I wish I knew of this preschool when my daughters, now 32 and 29 were children. I flip-flopped between three preschools in the nineties and never quite found anything this wonderful. As an educator I was particular in choosing a preschool; those I chose were good but not as good as this one.

Little blessings was mentioned by multiple families and each one had a smile on their face when talking about their experience. After the past two years, I couldn't agree more. My grandson is rambunctious but eager to learn, loving yet sometimes a little defiant, and totally a free spirit. Little blessings gives him wings to soar and a loving hand of redirection when needed. Early on, as he struggled with structure and guidelines, the teachers reassured us, "don't worry, we will work on it.". He has thrived at Little Blessings. All of the teachers are incredible. He has learned music, art, Spanish, health and fitness, as well as letters, numbers, shapes, etc. He is very well prepared for Kindergarten. He loves the staff and they love him. If you were ever in doubt, or have high anxiety about sending your 2,3,4 or 5 year old to school, trust me, start them at Little Blessings. We only wish Covid ended a year earlier so we could have sent him there when he was 2. Dr. Jarvis

I want to introduce you to a new business that recently opened in Plainfield, Illinois. Lighthouse…read moreAcademy is a quality childcare center, and the third of their centers to open in Illinois. Lighthouse Academy is a quality day care center because of its cleanliness, structured curriculum, and nurturing caregivers. I would highly recommend them to families or caregivers looking for a highly educational program for their children. Lighthouse Academy is a quality day care center ran by a wonderful director and filled with enthusiastic and nurturing caregivers. The center is accredited by The National Association for the Education for Young Children (NAEYC) and The Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS). They believe in the highest-level of education to help children learn and grow. The teachers are highly trained in CPR and First Aid. If they are not certified upon being hired, the center offers classes for them to become certified. Lighthouse Academy is a curriculum-based center, which means they follow guidelines while teaching their children, making sure there is structure in their day. Lighthouse Academy focuses on the development of each child intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically. By focusing on all four of those areas, they are helping build the "whole child". The center is known for its cleanliness and they uphold themselves to a high standard of being extremely clean. They clean the entire building at the end of every day. Each teacher is in charge of their own classrooms, and making sure that all toys and materials are bleached at the end of every day. It is very obvious when you walk into the building of this center that it is very clean and well taken care of. Finding a day care center that is right for your children is important. Early childhood is such an important time in life, and finding quality care can be hard to come across. It is important to find a center that has the same beliefs and philosophies as your own, and by observing centers you can learn which is the best fit for your child. I highly recommend families and caregivers learn more about Lighthouse Academy. I hope that by writing this review I will convince people to visit Lighthouse Academy so they can see for their selves how wonderful of a place it is.

Love Kiddie Academy!!…read more My grandson loves his "school" and in essence it is school because he's learned so much. His language skills (comprehension/expressive) have come so far. He's learning to interact with his friends and be part of a group. All of those pre-k skills like colors, shapes, the alphabet, numbers, etc are part of the curriculum. Yes, there is a curriculum, this isn't babysitting. The facility is appealing to kids, the staff has always been friendly and also good about keeping us informed as to how his day went. MY REVIEW WAS DELETED SO I AM POSTING A SECOND TIME!…read more My children were enrolled for about 18 months at this facility before Dad and I decided to unenroll them indefinitely. The very first day they arrived, upon picking them up my son had marks all on his arm as if he was bitten several times. I brought It to the attention of the front desk and they managed to calm me down and reassure me they would review the cameras - they never did. As a parent, I should have trusted my intuition and removed them from this facility that very first day. My son would come home and tell us that his teacher, Ms. Amanda, didn't like him so we requested a classroom change with Ms. Jezera who was absolutely amazing. My daughter had a consistent revolving door of teachers; her nose would be completely crusted upon pickup as if she wasn't being tended to. Jezera and her sister Jasenia, who later became my daughters teacher, as well as Ms. Brittney are easily the only teachers in the entire facility that I trusted with my children. Once my son aged out of Ms. Jezera's class he was placed into a classroom with Katie's son, the director. All of a sudden they claimed he was having behavioral issues when in actuality he was being bullied by Katie's son and other classmates and management refused to do anything about it despite our continuous requests for a classroom change, which was once honored previously. Katie shows complete favoritism towards her children and would make inappropriate comments to my child. There is a current DCFS investigation as well as attorneys involved due to an incident that occurred on 7/12. Upon picking my children up from this facility, my son had marks on his hips telling me his teacher, Ms. Terrah was pinching him ( as part of disciplinary measures) upon review of their cameras and an exam of my child these accusations proved to be 100% correct. The only thing I commend this daycare on is their swift response as Terrah was terminated within the hour, however, their continuous lack of due diligence in hiring competent staff and addressing issues at their core would have prevented the continuous mistreatment of my son during his entire enrollment here. This facility over the course of the entire 18 months continued to lose my trust and the ONLY reason I kept putting faith in them is due to the strong relationships I had with the teachers listed; their promise to ensure my children were safe was appreciated but they of course can only do so much. This is the first and last daycare my children will ever attend!

We came from a Montessori school prior, so it was at least familiar materials and concepts for the boys during a rather difficult transition. The stability and structure of the school gives my boys great comfort. The teachers are consistent, loving, and work very hard in the classroom to help each child. What have we accomplished with this school? - My 5-year-old is reading. Very well. He is also a proficient writer, budding speller, and excelling in math. His social skills have had a chance to flourish and he enjoys helping kids younger than him learn things he has already mastered. - My 3-year-old is becoming a writer, mastering letter sounds, learning practical life skills, working on social skills, and making friends. - Personally, I feel that I have been given tools to help my kids at home through meaningful conferences, I have made friends (difficult after a big move), back up and support for any of my kids' challenging behaviors, and peace of mind that that are in a loving environment during the school day. This is a school, not a daycare, so if you are looking for flexible hours, flexible tuition, or zero responsibility on your end this is not the place for you. It is a collaborative effort between home and school. That being said, the teaching staff/ owner have gone above and beyond for my kids more than once. We are in our second year here (Kindergarten year and 2nd-year Montessori) and we will keep attending for the foreseeable future. Final thought: I am DELIGHTED at how my older son is progressing through his kindergarten year. I am so incredibly glad that we chose the third year of Montessori for him! By the end of the first week brown blankie stayed home and he was excited to go to school each day. This school helped his personality shine through and he is now Mr. Social and loves making new friends, a drastic change from when we started. He will enter kindergarten reading at a 2nd/3rd grade level and 2nd grade level math. This school has been well worth the investment in the foundation for my son's education. I highly recommend this school!
