We went to Kindercare, Chesterbrook and Crème dela Crème. We chose Pathway. My daughter attended Pathway when we was just 2 years and 8 mos, we started with Miss Miera and Miss Maria. At that time, we are just starting potty training. I think it is more of struggling because I cannot seem to find a way to make her use the washroom. Miss Miera and Miss Maria was so helpful and I guess because of peer pressure she seem to just learn it on her own. A couple of months later, she move to Miss Melissa's room with some of her classmates from the previous room. I think the classroom transfer is based on their age and if there is a spot open in the next classroom. They have different activities to keep the kids busy, weather permitting they would play outside and they also have water days during the summer. After lunch, kids napped and they will have afternoon snacks afterwards. They organize field trips, gardening activities and plenty of drawing/writing exercises. Her last teacher is Miss Robbie, she did a great job of preparing my daughter for Kindergarten. She gave us tips of how we can encourage her to hold a pencil and reading stories. When we started here at Pathway, my little girl was shy and doesn't know how to make friends. My daughter learned a lot and when we started kindergarten she didn't struggle at all, this is all because Pathway prepared them. We left because she was starting Kindergarten and we live in a different school district. She is now in 1st grade and still remembers Miss Robbie and some of her classmates at Pathway, she keeps asking if we can come and visit her. If they were close to my house, my daughter would still be enrolled in their after school & Summer programs.

I will never attend nor recommend another KinderCare again as they really led me to believe something was wrong with my son when even the pediatrician said it was terrible twos. They sent me through so many hoops to where I even had my son evaluated my a speech therapist & behavior specialist. Both were stunned he was even recommended and the behavior specialist pointed out what I had been feeling but no mother wants to admit - that they are picking on him for some reason to get him out of their establishment. This daycare does not have the patience nor the skills to handle the terrible two's, especially with toddlers who have higher energy than others. The behavior they described I have never seen in my son before, especially around other kids his age. I believe they took advantage of the fact that I was more naive and new to parenthood so for awhile I just believed and even admitted to them that I relied on them for help & guidance on how to do things... but after a while it got ridiculous and the stories were not even adding up anymore. It got to the point that the coordinators were stressing me out more than helping that I pulled him out and never looked back. My sons are now in another school with the same sized class environment & thriving. I can't believe I even had to request a parent teacher meeting when my child was so badly struggling...I should've been contacted from the get go rather than it all being brand new informations 2 months AFTER he transitioned into the toddler room. Just ridiculous, I feel bad for letting my son stay here so long when he was clearly not wanted. Shout out to Alexis in the infant room though, she was the best & we genuinely felt that she cared for the kids. The rest..... not so much.

I love seeing photos of my daughter playing outside, in the gym, painting with corn, being read to, etc. My daughter is better potty trained at daycare, naps without her pacifier at daycare, and comes home singing songs she learned that day. They put so much effort each and every day into their lesson plans and all of the additional surprises that the kids can throw at them. They all clearly care about each and every kid in the school and in their class. We're so grateful to have them in our kids' lives. The director and staff at COA in Oswego are so unprofessional on many levels. I am going to start by saying my son (who happens to have mild Autism) was hired as a Teaching Assistant. This was told to them on his resume, as well as discussed at the interview. He was hired at COA about 6 months ago. Since being hired, he has been picked on, made to do work that other TA's are not made to do ( ex. clean all floors and toys in all classrooms). Written up for incidents that were embellished by other staff as a means to get him in trouble. Treated with disrespect and now after today called a racist because of a mis-pronunciation of a last name. His own family is comprised of 4 different races. He doesn't have a mean or racist bone in his body. My son, even through all of this, has continued to show up and work every day. He has taken the 10:30 am lunch even when he got to work at 9 am and others have been working since 6 am. He never complained about this unfair treatment due to feeling like he could lose his job all the time. It was evident in his anxiety that he felt left out and not supported at all. He recently had his hours cut, supposedly due to lack of enrollment. Although the center hired 4 new staff since he was hired and he was the staff with hours cut to 15 hours a week. They have treated him like he wouldn't know better and continuously pick on him. They expected him to be alone in a classroom, and because he spoke up and said he wasn't comfortable with this, his hours were cut. What a sad and unfortunate work experience for a young man who just felt he would like to work with young children. As he comes from a family who fostered other children throughout his life. He has had experience working and caring for kids quite a bit, just not in the daycare setting. As his Mom, I really felt this would be a great opportunity for him. How sad of COA to treat someone who is "different " with such disrespect that he no longer wants to work in an environment like that. I doubt you would want your children attending a place that treats their employees this way either. I know I wouldn't. If I thought my son could have written this himself, I would have him do so. His disabilities don't define him. His heart does. We will move on from here, but not without speaking our TRUTH.

No accident/injury/illness/issue goes without advanced notice to the parent directly and a written report for home and school files.
