    IDKhow but they found me

Visited Cornerstone Berkeley for the first time to see a band, IDKhow But They Found Me. This was my first time at this venue, but my second time seeing the band and they were amazing as always! The venue is in Downtown Berkeley, so there was a lot of street parking. The stage space was actually quite small and intimate, which I really enjoyed because you get to be much closer to the stage. I didn't get food, so I can't speak to that. Would come back again!

Was at Cornerstone 7/13 to watch Barrington Levy perform & decided to have a brew at the downstairs bar before heading up. Service could definitely use some people skills work, not very welcoming at at all. Thank goodness for great concert Barrington gave! We'll see if the tudes are different next concert go round... Actually, I just may head straight upstairs to Avoid the Noid!!

Great, intimate venue to see a band! The food is also really good. The big ol' pretzel is as good as it looks.

Carson McCarns, really chill guy. I think I fell in love. In all seriousness I had so much fun at this bar and customer service was amazing. 10/10. Highly recommend.

This music venue is super fun, you can grab food and drink before, during, or after. They have something like 40+ craft beers, but I made the mistake of ordering a cocktail instead. I didn't think it was very good, but the bartender did warn me that they're stirred not shaken. Bartenders did not seem the most welcoming or open to conversation, but my waitress was sweet. The food was good, came quickly and hot with plenty of fries to share. The music venue itself is upstairs and to the side from the food area and has its own bar.

Went here to get Cosmic recently. Didn't enjoy any food, but beers on tap from local breweries were flowing. Super friendly staff and chilled out local vibe. Would definitely recommend checking a show out!

Very great concert venue place! Nice free upstairs seating as well as downstairs right in front of the stage! I've been to 3 concerts there now so definitely can say it's a great venue and have heard good things about the beer!

This is a great spot for beer & mixed drinks, home cooked foods, and a music show!!! They have a large eating area. They even have a heated with fire pits outdoor dining area! The food was excellent beyond belief! Every bite was delicious, so much so, i actually finished my meal! They even have vegetarian and gluten free selections! The staff were busy, but still attentive and very happy people. They were not too chatty, but able to make us feel welcome. I love this place! I'll be back!!! Street parking. Clean, large restrooms.

Ask the Community - Cornerstone Craft Beer & Live Music

I am going to a show this month that starts at 8om what's the best way to get seats for the concert? Do I show up 2 hours early? Do I eat dinner there before show?

They started a line up about 45 minutes before the show. So if you line up then you should be able to get one of the seats upstairs.

    Is outdoor dining open again?

    Yes!

Is the patio open during COVID for outdoor dining?

    Yes

    Are there gluten-free options?

Yes smoked wings, potatoes salad etc

How hot does it get during a concert?

Not bad at all, but I have a cold, dead heart.

Do they have high chairs available for babies and toddlers?

    yes

Is this a standing room only music venue?

Yes, both the ground floor and balcony area are standing only.

Do they ask for ID to go in or just to buy drinks?

Depends on what time you come in. I think before 10pm (on weekends), you can just walk in. Afterwards, they'll card and put wristbands on 21+

    When is their happy hour?

Until 7pm! $2 off applicable beers (the ones that offer pitchers)

    Do they refill growlers?

    No.

When it comes to the shows they have here, do they sell tickets at the door?

They have a counter on the side of the business, on Durant Ave. It's very easy to spot if you're walking on the sidewalk.

Would two thirteen year olds be able to attend a concert here? I bought tickets to go here and I would like to confirm that this isn't an 18+ area.

You should call them I think if they have alcohols should have some restrictions I'm not sure sorry

    Is it kid friendly?

    Sure is

    Is it 21 and over?

    No

Hows the parking situation ? Any?

The parking in Berkeley sucks! The garage is don't stay open past midnight except for the one open lot we parked in almost a mile from this place and had to pay the maximum $28 you suck city of Berkeley boooo

Tallboy's martini menu is well-executed. While I didn't personally try one of the slushies, a friend ordered the espresso martini version and gave it a solid thumbs-up. Unfortunately, the experience falls apart when it comes to food and service. Waiting 30+ minutes for two hot dogs (after paying) is hard to justify. When I checked in with a server, she was curt and dismissive. She was quick to explain there was only one person in the kitchen, with no effort to offer a solution, timeline, or even basic courtesy. I understand staffing issues happen. However, customer service is a close second to concept. How an issue is communicated and addressed is what separates good service from bad. What's more frustrating is that these aren't customer problems to absorb. If the kitchen is understaffed, if tables aren't being cleared in a timely manner at a seat-yourself spot, those are management problems. Guests should not have to choose to leave without the food we paid for. There's a lot of competition out there, and concepts alone aren't enough to bring people back. I genuinely wanted that hot dog. That's probably the most disappointing part of the whole experience. Great drinks, solid ambiance, but the service needs serious attention.
