Only one person was working when I arrived, which was a bit rough because the place got busy and we all ordered drinks and food. Late during my hour long stay a second employee showed up. Thankfully I wasn't in any great hurry. The menu in person had a few things crossed off that I'd seen online. I ended up with a Bulgarian vegan crepe and a waffle with chocolate sauce. The crepe had some nice fresh vegetables, but not quite as much flavor in the actual crepe as I'd hoped. The waffle was quite large and again had some nice fruit, but the confection itself wasn't quite popping for me. The tastiest thing I got was undoubtedly a vanilla spiced chai. I didn't have any difficulty finishing the things I ordered, though I'd order differently if I came again. Given how many towns in the region there are that do not have this place's seemingly effortless commitment to vegan and gluten-free options, I'm glad they're there.

I've gone on many little coffee dates with my husband and toddler and they're so social with my child, make him little frappe drinks like "pup cups" you'd get at Starbucks and cookies. Imagine wanting to support a local coffee shop and tipping the baristas generously every day for weeks...only to have someone roll their eyes every time you walked in....Im sorry I ordered coffee....at your coffee shop! For a progressive, adorably decorated, independent shop with a loyal following...I can't believe how much they had against me and my group of friends, just for being out of towners. We spend a collective $500 a week here and we were made to feel like more of an Inconvenience than a valued guest. As a former barista myself, and a progressive creative who has really struggled for my craft my entire life...I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. But when Im made to feel like I have wronged somebody just for asking them to do thier job, and paying them well for it...It makes me feel like I'm being held hostage until my coffee comes out. My barista never filled my cup all the way, and snapped at me when I asked her to top it off. She charged me extra to add a little splash. I don't mind paying more, but don't mentally abuse me in the process. It's just coffee girl!! I don't know...I just think that Oatmilk lattes with a sprinkle of resentment, Locally made muffins with a dirty look on the side...and Light Ice followed by a "don't let the door hit you in the @$$ on the way out " type of mentality....kinda adds up to getting the day off to the wrong start... I will say we did have great customer service from a handful of other employees...but that one bad apple was something we actually dreaded when we were choosing our coffee each morning . Too bad. I've been to both of them more times than I can count and I've enjoyed many great conversations with employees and strangers at both locations over the years plus enjoyed some great live music as well. I've always been a fan of their tacos, wraps, and chips & queso, but I've had almost everything on their menu and I've never been disappointed by anything that I ate or drank. They have excellent lattes and cappuccino. Their vegan and vegetarian tacos are top notch. I came to this location right after they opened but I came hear recently a couple of times to enjoy several different IPA's, stouts, and porters plus tacos on Tuesday for their specials and nothing disappointed. The employees have always been kind to me but on a recent visit I had a great conversation with a girl but forget her name. Sorry! She was great! I just got a veggie omelet and some toast, and they were both fine, but this is the kind of place that locals go to- they catch up and share stories with each other. I couldn't help but overhear 4 men at a nearby table talking about snuff, surgeries and football. They were on a first name basis with the waitress (Shannon) who was not only friendly but efficient and attentive to every customer.
