Daughter is 26, we ended up going to the 11 service (traditional). It was a whole symphony orchestra for worship. Not what we had in mind but we stayed and the message was amazing. Pastor Cody was good. My daughter has since returned and attended the 9 service (contemporary) and I think she's found her new church! Her and I both agree, worship sets the table for the meal! The concert was very entertaining and kept getting better as the night went by. An incredible modern day performance was given by a grandfather and granddaughter. The grandfather would remember music from his time and would get into costume to try to explain the music to his granddaughter but, she wasn't having it! So, he used Alexa to play the music he was referring too. That s when the orchestra played live songs from movies like,Superman,James Bond, The Incredibles and so much more. A brief movie clip was played while they performed! There was even music from The Greatest Showman! MY favorite movie. They received a standing O! While there were lots of people there. I was able to find parking quickly. A program directory was given by a Sr Citizen who looked me up and down while handing me a brochure. Awkward. There were a few seats available but, it was hard to see over people's head. So thankful to CCBC for allowing me to witness such an awesome performance! Glory to God in the to highest for all who created these beautiful pieces of music. A master piece here in my home town of Fort Worth, Texas! I visited the place for the first time on Thursday. I met Angel who's a wonderful lady that I provisionally talked to on the phone. The love and energy that the volunteers there have and employees too is out of this world. With people like them we can win the fight on hunger. Please take some time to visit this place and see the amazing work they do. Take some canned goods with you, pasta and anything else you might and bring your gift for those in need. Maybe after a visit (far from the eye far from the heart) you will get to understand better why we all need to go beyond just felling sorry for those in deed and decide to actually do more for them.

I went to go deliver some packages and she had an attitude off the back. I was flabbergasted with this as the type of business it is, helping people in need. I walked up asking a question as I was told to do so by another employee and there went the attitude, I was so confused. I hope she does get held accountable for her actions as I did call and put a formal complaint. I really hope she's not treating the customers that are in need this way.

I was on the verge of getting burnt out and frustrated with the American Church as a whole. Visiting from a small town, this place felt like family, despite its size. I was moved to tears during worship and decided to stay both services. I knew something was different and I had to be apart of it. I knew God was moving in this place because something was different. However, I was still skeptical due to what the news & media puts out about this church. After being a member for about 2 and a half years now, I have seen the positive effect this church is having on the community. I have seen leaders here live out their teachings in private. I have seen people prefer each other and even help strangers as if their own. This church doesn't stay in locked in the four walls of a building, but follows the Great Commission. This is what it means to be a Christian, and this church is spearheading a movement needed in America! I am so thankful for this church and community for pointing me back to Jesus, helping me at my worst, and showing me how to live righteously! Mercy Culture Church has TRULY changed my life!!!

Every agency has funder imposed barriers that will stymie the ability of said agency to serve EVERY person, yet the real OGs will find a way, when the will of the client is strong enough. Opening Doors for Women in need is a hub for women in all situations of disadvantage, that need a hand up. The BEAUTIFUL space that the physical location occupies offers rehabilitative classes, vocational opportunity and educational avenues for the participants of the program. A true "third space" to call their own. Scattered throughout the community are residential homes that operate as transitional homes. Understand this - you have to pay a very small deposit, and you will have up to 6 housemates. You are required to wake at 6 and be out of the house during work hours in most instances. You have chores and duties each day, and you pay a rent. However, as transitional homes go it is very minimal in comparison to market rates. However, if your situation is truly one of need, you will gladly adhere to these rules and regulations, with a kind "thank you," understanding that the best growth blooms in adversity. If you lose sight, Ms. Sandra is one to look to to regain your vision. Opening Doors for Women in Need is a blessing to the community, to fellow social service agencies and to every client that they come in contact with.
