I knew I would need to get an oil change a couple of times going around, and when it was time, we were in Gettysburgh. We had limited options, and Mike's Kars had good review, and he was a mile from our hotel... so... we took a chance. Pros: Seemed to do adequate work, we didn't have any issues with the car. They came and picked us up CONS: OMG where do I start. This guy ripped us off at every opportunity. 1. I had just purchased NEW bigger off-road tires and we had about 2000 miles on them. Mike decides it's time for my 41k service, and that included a TIRE ROTATION! He KNEW they were new tires. We wer traveling and exhausted and had exactly one day to get the oil changed before heading to our next destination, and extended our hotel to get this done, so I didn't THINK about it but he CHARGED ME $200 TO ROTATE BRAND NEW TIRES! 2. He told me my battery needed replacing, probably the original one, blah blah. I have no idea if it really needed it or not, but he used a scare tactic. I was traveling with my daughter and he mentioned "What if it doesn't start and you are in the middle of no where." I went ahead with the battery but he charged me a WHOPPING $400 FOR IT!! I called my dealer when I got home today and he told me a battery for that Jeep costs $100!! And that I got ripped off once again. 3. He also told me that my radiator fluid was turning acidic and needed flushing. ANOTHER WHOPPING $200+ for that. I asked my dealer who looked at the inspection report for my Certified Pre-Owned Jeep and the chemical report when sold to me was no where near what this guy was telling me. 4. He also said there was a leaky seal on one of the ball bearings and they "discovered" it when the rotated the tires. My dealer said a leaky seal could definitely have waited. 5. Finally, the oil change we came IN for. Instead of giving me Full Synthetic oil which everywhere else was $48, he gave me some kind of blend and charged me another $200 or so. When I got out of there he had stripped us of $1300. Two girls on a road trip. He saw us coming a MILE away and took advantage at every turn. My dealer said all of that would have been taken care of at ANY dealership and that this guy charged me about 4X what it would have cost and of course, the leaky seal and radiator flush, if it was really needed, would have been NO charge. So. They may do ok work, and they may be convenient. But they will take advantage, overcharge, and rip you off every chance you give them. I do NOT recommend these people at all and am MORTIFIED that they did this, and charged over $1300 for what should have cost us around $150.

Our truck would start and run, the warning came on, the truck didn't lose power but the pedal was not giving any power to the engine to make it go. I googled mobile repair and found Forthright. I called, left a message and Elijah called me back. He is one of the owners. Very nice guy. I told him the issue and I was concerned because they are located in Newburg and it's a 40 minute drive to Chambersburg, the time was 3:00 p.m. on a Saturday AND we are at a campground. Elijah assured me that he could do it that day. He told me their process, sent a very reasonable quote and said the quote is just what the total could be but it could be less depending on what actually gets done. I was good with it. Elijah made the drive and then it started raining. I thought that I was going to get a call saying that he would come when it's not raining...NOPE! He showed up and worked in the pouring down rain. He didn't have to replace all the sensors, only 1, and the total was less than $200. He said they are 24 hours, rain or shine. My family is grateful and thankful to Elijah that we were able to go home to Maryland on Sunday. I would absolutely recommend Forthright Mobile Repair.

I was traveling from Pensacola Florida back home to Shelburne, Vermont and it was running on about…read moreseven hours of sleep for the last two days. With almost 8 hours in front of me I just cited to stop in this quaint little town to rest for the night properly and avoid the storm. That being said, I wanted to go to Walmart and buy a few items as well as fill the gas tank up so after I left Walmart, I was heading down the road that the hotel I'm staying at is on. For some reason I just had to fill up all the way as I usually do. I went to turn in to the parking lot of a gas station that looked like it might be open. I slowly turned in to the parking lot and as I did, there was part of the curve, that's hard to describe how it's made, but it's sharp and I busted my tire. The hole knocked in. It must've been at least 4 to 5 inches maybe even larger. I was about a half a mile from home if that or hotel, rather, as Home is in Vermont. I called a company called Mr. Tire and he recommended Abe's towing, I was reluctant at first, because I didn't know anything about them, but the gentleman I spoke to on the phone was unbelievably polite and knowledgeable as well. They said they have a guy out within 30 minutes to pick it up, 30 minutes? On a weekend? You can't get that service anywhere besides that the driver Chris was here before I could even finish getting my clothes back on. He by far, one of the best representatives for a company you could have, Chris explained everything completely, and treated my Jeep like a baby! I cannot say enough about Chris, I went from a very foul mood to having a pretty brighter outlook pretty quick. The price is reasonable and likely less than anybody that you call and when they say a half an hour, start getting ready immediately because they're very fast to get to your location. I believe the entire fleet is that way, to the people who deserve it and probably to those that don't. They are just a solid company from what I've seen and heard. They are highly recommended among the people I talk to they have a few different shops, so if you can't get in one, you can definitely get another. They have a convenient online sign up for appointments! I love that part of the website. So many towing companies out there or just out for the buck, but not these people they're out for your business, they're genuine, transparent, and follow through with their word. I would say, use them, and to those that do congratulations, you just made a good friend. To those of you who choose not to use Abe's towing service center for your needs, congratulations you have found a home for your car to those of you who wish to read this review and go other places. One of the drivers from this company, (we don't know if he was the owner or just a driver) was backing out onto the road, which I think is illegal, to hook up stranded vehicle. My husband had to slam on his brakes which caused our food to fall. We got out of the car and mentioned this to the driver pointing out he was in the wrong for backing out into the road the way he did. He was a complete smart ass. I'm glad there are other towing companies around and I don't have to worry about using this company.
