However, the food was very bad. We ordered pad thai with tofu, and the dish that was brought out was about 75% massive, tasteless chunks of tofu. What few noodles could be found underneath all the tofu were mixed with chopped onion, diminishing their ratio even further. There was a tiny pile of about 1/2 tsp of ground peanuts added in one corner of the plate. The sauce tasted sour and burnt. One of the worst pad thai variations I've had in a long time. Still.. I wouldn't fault them just for having bad food, but within an hour of leaving the restaurant, both the spouse and I were having an upset stomach, and ended up not being able to finish our drive home without having to pull over and find a public restroom. I would chalk it up to coincidence, but my spouse revealed that when she used the restroom, there were prominent signs indicating that no one is allowed to flush any sort of toilet paper down the toilet, and instead has to put them in open bins sitting in each stall next to the toilet. Each stall in the restroom had open trash cans filled with used toilet paper full of fecal matter, which is pretty horrifying to think of in a restaurant serving food in a first world country. My spouse brought home her leftovers and heated up them the next morning and within a half hour of eating them, was already having an upset stomach again which endured for the remainder of the day. We would definitely not eat here again, and it seems like the health department probably needs to pay this place a visit.

What a great find this was in our travels to the northern 'burbs of Chicago! We were preparing to…read moreleave the area to head toward home, but it had gotten late enough that it made sense to grab dinner before we left. Our 21-month old granddaughter was along so we had to be a bit circumspect in our choice. But my wife and I both like Japanese fare and our granddaughter, whose Mom is Korean, gets a lot of that type of food at home. The location of this place is in a strip plaza tucked away in a non-descript commercial area. It was not too difficult to locate with GPS. The interior was well-kept and made a good impression on entry. Located in a single storefront slot, it was not too surprising that it was narrow in layout. It could probably be described as cozy. We were seated right away and our server attended to us quickly. She did an exceptional job taking care of us during our visit. The food was delivered promptly and was ready to eat with no problems. We started with the Asparagus Beef Maki, which was excellent. Served in a soy-based sauce, it was very tasty. For entrees, we tried a Bento Box (Box C) and a Dinner combo (Combo C). Both featured tempura and sushi. We both gave thumbs-up to these. We were able to feed our granddaughter from our portions amd have some to take home as well. With food, drinks, tax and tip, our total was $76. At roughly $38 per person (cheaper on a per-person basis really, since we fed a toddler as well), this was a good deal. We will definitely go back when we are in the area.

The food needs improvement in the extreme. The price is too high. The ambiance is poor.read more

I ordered the Pad Thai with tofu, the staple menu item I order each time I visit. My guest ordered the Mongolian beef. My pad Thai came out visibly different than times past. It looks almost watered down and the tofu was not coated and seared with the beautiful crust it normally has. I ate it and it tasted... sour. Normally this pad Thai leans savory over sweet, but this time it just straight up tasted sour. The tofu was nothing to write home about, which is typically not the experience I have here. The Mongolian beef tasted like it had more sear on the meat than actual beef. It tasted over-charred. The rice and veggies were good, but that's kind of a simple feat. I ordered the Pomegrantate martini which was good. The space was also very hot, I understand it's a hot day and a busy restaurant but my legs were dripping in sweat the entire hour we were there. I will give them a try again, because I know from previous experiences the pad Thai was usually great. That tofu is what I keep coming back for! Hopefully next time it'll meet my expectations. This was this past weekend on Friday night.

Great place for a dimly lit dinner. My brother and I got the chicken pad thai, the short rib, and the royal flower dumplings to start. The flower dumplings were so cool! They were like a sweet/savory dumpling, which I didn't expect, as I'm used to pork dumplings. I really enjoyed the pad thai! It comes wrapped in an omelette - I've never seen that kind of presentation before, so at first I was a bit confused. Super yummy. The short rib was also flavorful and tender, but the flavors just weren't as strong in my opinion as the pad thai. Great service and the wet towel they give to you in the beginning is pretty neat. Would love to come again and try some more! I think it's street parking only pretty much.

We ordered the gyoza, miso soup, calamari, short rib, crab fried rice, room service pad Thai and a few hand rolls. My wife and I also had the Phuket #3 cocktail. First off, service was friendly and amazingly fast. Drinks came out literally a minute after we ordered. The food started coming out shortly after. The gyoza was pan fried and came out upside down with a giant pancake connecting them. Cute presentation and solid gyoza. The next was the calamari. This was probably our favorite dish overall. Huge portion for an appetizer. The calamari was lightly breaded with togarishi and a sweet and sour dipping sauce. Amazingly tender. I got the the scallop, 50/50 and salmon handrolls. My wife doesn't like raw fish and even she thought the handrolls were good. The scallop was awesome. Super sweet with a dash of chili oil. The short rib was our second favorite. Super tender and had deep, rich flavors. Shredding the beef and pouring some of the broth over white rice made a perfect bite. The seafood fried rice was also spectacular. Huge chunks of calamari, shrimp, crab. The pad Thai was only ok. It was too peanutty for me, but my wife and kids also were generally meh about it too. The Phuket #3 was also great. I ordered it first and my wife liked it so much (after drinking most of mine) ordered another. We recently went to a Michelin starred Thai restaurant in SF and while we also really liked it, we all liked Room Service even more. And for about half the price. We'll definitely be back.

Upon approaching Kelly's Cajun Grill there was no wait so I was able to walk straight up and order. The menu is clear and easy to read. We ordered 2 ea x two entree and one side meals. Two orange chicken and two bourbon chicken, one brown rice that has beans and the other was fried rice. These meals also include potato. We generally request the sauce on all rice and potatoes. The gentleman who assisted me is Ben. Ben was polite and fast. My food was ready within two minutes. Both entrees were hot and delicious. The counter was clean and well lit. The food there is pretty good but sadly on the day we went their orange chicken was soggy and not as crisp as usually. I did ask the lady who was scooping food if there were any more coming out since they looked like they were running low and she said this is what we have. The food court has a lot of options and seating so the ambiance is honestly the typical mall food court. Food wise it depends when you go but usually it's decent food court food when you are craving greasy food. It's more on the Asian or Americanized Chinese food than what you imagine Cajun food to be.
