Checked out the new black barbers shops on the East Side of Lancaster, old school white barbers (I'm talking about the straight blade type) recommended by my redneck buds. But today was the first time in forever I walked out happy paying for my haircut. I didn't get cut, knicked, scratched, someone putting their hand on my head like there trying to palm it, it was a great experience. It smelled nice, it was air conditioned, everyone was professional and didn't talk like they were on the streets. The world news was on the TV's informing our public of real life changing events. Annie, last chair on barber row, was stellar at cutting my mop. She was friendly, advised me on what she could do with my crappy explanation of what I wanted. When she picked up her mirror to show me my fade I wished I would have come here years ago! I look good ladies and gentlemen, perfect fade. I'm going back and let you know more when I do! So land your butt here, you'll thank me. Lastly, TIP YOUR BARBERS!!

Conveniently located just up the street from our house, the decor is excellent, the barbers are top-notch, and they've got drinks and surprises for the kids. Every time my littlest one whose about to turn 5 get his haircut, he gets to pick out a new Hot Wheels of his choosing to take home for being good for the barber during the haircut, now my son finally can get through without complaining or fussing, and getting his haircut used to be an absolute nightmare. It's the little things like that which will keep me coming back.

Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. When I arrived, the place felt chaotic--no organization, and having an appointment seemed to make no difference. The middle-aged gentleman who cut my hair finished in under 10 minutes, but it felt like painting a car without prepping the surface first. The result was so uneven and sloppy that I had to go to another shop immediately just to fix it.

During the pandemic we all stayed home and cut our own hair. Returning to work, I started going back once again. Their prices have gone up significantly, but so has every other barber shops. And to be honest, this is the only place I've ever been able to find, where you get a consistently good cut, even though sometimes the barbers change. So far, in over six years, I haven't been disappointed. Maybe I've just had good luck, but if something does change, or if I have a bad experience, I'll be sure to post an update. But for now, they have my five stars, highly recommend.
